As Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) brasileiras têm passado por grandes desafios devido ao aumento da concorrência. Paralelamente, no campo da Administração, um tema que tem sido estudado de forma recorrente são os modelos de avaliação organizacional. Nesse contexto, foi realizada uma pesquisa com o objetivo de identificar e comparar os principais métodos e indicadores de avaliação de desempenho organizacional desenvolvidos na literatura e sua forma de utilização nas IES da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo – RMSP. Com base em análise sistematizada da bibliografia consultada foram identificados 19 modelos de avaliação de desempenho, resumindo-se suas principais características, pontos fortes e fracos. Realizou-se, adicionalmente, uma análise comparativa destes modelos com base na consideração de 18 aspectos classificados em 5 grupos: clientes e mercado; econômico-financeiros; gestão e organização; recursos humanos; e sociedade em geral. Por meio de «survey» junto aos gestores de 14 significativas IES foram identificados seus formatos e indicadores de avaliação de desempenho organizacional constatando-se que a maioria realiza avaliação de desempenho por meio de modelos, sendo o «The Balanced Scorecard» o mais utilizado. Entre os 19 indicadores de desempenho pesquisados, os quatro utilizados com mais frequência e também considerados de maior importância pelas IES são os relacionados: à demanda por ensino; aos clientes, ou alunos; à qualidade e eficiência dos processos; e a aspectos econômico-financeiros. É possível levantar a hipótese de que a importância dos dois primeiros deve-se ao fato de serem relevantes direcionadores de receita, a do terceiro, ser direcionador de custo, e a do quarto, ser a síntese dos resultados.

Neste estudo, visamos investigar a inovação pedagógica na formação dos alunos do Curso Técnico em Edificações do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia - Campus Pesqueira – Pesqueira - Pernambuco – Brasil, tendo como objetivo analisar a formação técnica a partir da cultura visual e dos recursos midiáticos atrelados ao mundo concreto da docência escolar. Para tanto, realizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho etnográfico para capturar o fenômeno estudado, utilizando como instrumentos e técnicas a observação participante, diário de campo, entrevistas, fotografias, filmes e documentários. Dessa forma, coletamos e analisamos os achados, tendo como pano de fundo a cultura das imagens fincada no chão da sala de aula, numa prática pedagógica construcionista inovadora.

The maintenance of systems and equipment is a central question related to Production Engineering. Although systems are not fully reliable, it is often necessary to minimize the failure occurrence likelihood. The failures occurrences can have disastrous consequences during a plane flight or operation of a nuclear power plant. The elaboration of a maintenance plan has as objective the prevention and recovery from system failures, increasing reliability and reducing the cost of unplanned shutdowns. It is also important to consider the issues related to organizations safety, especially those dealing with dangerous technologies. The objective of this thesis is to propose a method for maintenance analysis of a nuclear research reactor, using a socio-technical approach, and focused on existing conditions in Brazil. The research reactor studied belongs to the federal government and it is located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The specific objective of this thesis is to develop the availability analysis of one of the principal systems of the research reactor, the nuclear instrumentation system. In this analysis, were taken into account not only the technical aspects of the modules related to nuclear instrumentation system, but also the human and organizational factors that could affect the availability of the nuclear instrumentation system. The results showed the influence of these factors on the availability of the nuclear instrumentation system.

As técnicas nucleares, com ênfase a técnica conhecida como TLA - Thin Layer Activation, tem sido utilizada com sucesso e contribuído significativamente para o estudo de sistemas tribológicos, na análise e medição de desgaste para profundidades na ordem de grandeza de 10 µm apesar potencialmente poder aplicadas a espessuras de dezenas de milímetros. Esta limitação é intrínseca da técnica utilizada na ativação da camada superficial da peça ou elemento a ser investigado, que consiste na aplicação direta de um feixe de partículas carregadas a uma determinada energia, equivalente a máxima seção de choque do material a fim de obter uma taxa ativação constante ao longo de uma determinada espessura ou utilizando uma energia menor que este valor para se obter uma taxa ativação linear também para uma determinada profundidade de ativação. O objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar uma nova técnica que consiste na utilização de um feixe de energia superior a energia correspondente à máxima seção de choque e aplicar um elemento degradador (Roda Degradadora) como objetivo de homogeneizar a ativação superficial ao longo da espessura da amostra, possibilitando uma melhoria na precisão da análise e possibilitando ainda um maior alcance dessa camada e aumentando a gama de aplicações possíveis dessa técnica, onde por exemplo, maiores taxas de desgaste possam ser analisadas. Após o experimento e análise dos dados constatou-se que a técnica proposta melhora a linearidade da curva que representa a taxa de ativação e aumentando significativamente a profundidade analisável podendo chegar a ordem 6 x 10 µm. Em adição este trabalho reinaugura a pesquisa em aplicações nucleares no IEN - Instituto de Engenharia Nuclear com utilização de aceleradores de partículas tipo ciclotron.

Comparar o desenvolvimento de profissionais e estudantes de enfermagem quanto à realização da técnica de curativo. Metodologia: estudo descritivo com abordagem quantitativa. A amostra foi escolhida através de amostragem por conveniência, tendo participado da pesquisa 14 profissionais de enfermagem, que foram observados no período de março a junho de 2009, e 24 estudantes de enfermagem, regularmente matriculados no último período do Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, os quais foram observados no período de março e maio de 2010. O procedimento de coleta de dados foi efetuado através da observação não participante e preenchimento de um roteiro semi-estruturado, após a aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa do Hospital Universitário Lauro Wanderley, sob Protocolo n. 011/09. Resultados: na maioria dos aspectos analisados, os estudantes se sobressaíram aos profissionais, principalmente com relação à lavagem das mãos, orientação do paciente e utilização de movimentos únicos para limpeza da ferida. Conclusão: os profissionais devem melhorar seu conhecimento, buscando atualização nessa área, e os estudantes devem ser supervisionados durante a realização do procedimento

Este trabalho teve como objetivo, levantar dados sobre as relações estabelecidas pelos trabalhadores em seu campo de atuação e as possíveis consequências para sua qualidade de vida, numa Empresa de Terceirização de Serviços, na cidade do Recife- PE, Brasil. Inicialmente foi realizada uma investigação bibliográfica a partir dos principais teóricos que pesquisam sobre a Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho (QVT) e suas consequências para o melhor desempenho do trabalhador tendo em vista o seu bem-estar, as condições básicas de segurança, saúde e integridade pessoal e profissional dentro e fora da organização. Seguiu-se a pesquisa de campo realizada na referida empresa que permitiu a coleta de dados quanto à percepção dos colaboradores selecionados, por sorteio, em relação ao aspecto da qualidade de vida. Os resultados originários dos instrumentos de pesquisa aplicados, após análise, poderão ajudar na implantação de mudanças significativas através de ações que restrinjam efeitos conflituosos dos relacionamentos, garantam melhores condições de desenvolvimento pessoal e consequentemente maior produtividade organizacional. / This study aimed to collect data about the relationships established by workers in their field and the possible consequences to their quality of life, a Company's Outsourcing Services in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Initially a literature search was performed from the main theoretical research on the Quality of Work Life (QWL) and its consequences for the best performance of the employee with a view to their welfare, the basic conditions of health, safety and integrity personal and professional inside and outside the organization. This was followed by field research conducted in the company that allowed the collection of data regarding the perception of employees selected by lot in relation to the quality aspect of life. The results originating from research instruments used, after examination, may assist in the implementation of significant changes through actions restricting effects of conflicting relationships, ensure better conditions for personal development and consequently greater organizational productivity.

This research is part of the field of organizational studies, focusing on organizational purchase behavior and, specifically, trust interorganizational at the purchases. This topic is current and relevant by addressing the development of good relations between buyer-supplier that increases the exchange of information, increases the length of relationship, reduces the hierarchical controls and improves performance. Furthermore, although there is a vast literature on trust, the scientific work that deal specifically at the trust interorganizational still need further research to synthesize and validate the variables that generate this phenomenon. In this sense, this investigation is to explain the antecedents of trust interorganizational by the relationship between the variable operational performance, organizational characteristics, shared values and interpersonal relationships on purchases by manufacturing industries, in order to develop a robust literature, most consensual, that includes the current sociological and economic, considering the effect of interpersonal relationships in this phenomenon. This proposal is configured in a new vision of the antecedents of interorganizational trust, described as significant quantitative from models Morgan and Hunt (1994), Doney and Cannon (1997), Zhao and Cavusgil (2006) and Nyaga, Whipple, Lynch (2011), as well as qualitative analysis of Tacconi et al. (2011). With regard to methodological aspects, the study assumes the form of a descriptive, survey type, and causal trace theoretical and empirical. As for his nature, the investigation, explicative character, has developed a quantitative approach with the use of exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling SEM, with the use of IBM software SPSS Amos 18.0, using the method of maximum verisimilitude, and supported by technical bootstraping. The unit of analysis was the buyer-supplier relationship, in which the object under investigation was the supplier organization in view of the purchasing company. 237 valid questionnaires were collected among key informants, using a simple random sampling developed in manufacturing industries (SIC 10-33), located in the city of Natal and in the region of Natal. The first results of descriptive analysis demonstrate the phenomenon of interorganizational trust, in which purchasing firms believe, feel secure about the supplier. This demonstration showed high levels of intensity, predominantly among the vendors that supply the company with materials that are used directly in the production process. The exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, performed on each variable alone, generated a set of observable and unobservable variables more consistent, giving rise to a model, that needed to be further specified. This again specify model consists of trajectories was positive, with a good fit, with a composite reliability and variance extracted satisfactory, and demonstrates convergent and discriminant validity, in which the factor loadings are significant and strong explanatory power. Given the findings that reinforce the model again specify data, suggesting a high probability that this model may be more suited for the study population, the results support the explanation that interorganizational trust depends on purchases directly from interpersonal relationships, sharing value and operating performance and indirectly of personal relationships, social networks, organizational characteristics, physical and relational aspect of performance. It is concluded that this trust can be explained by a set of interactions between these three determinants, where the focus is on interpersonal relationships, with the largest path coefficient for the factor under study

Ethics on scientific research is approached and often discussed in several areas of knowledge connected to health. In the Administration area there are very few studies which approach the topic of ethics on research. The present paper tried to fill in this gap in the production of knowledge about the topic, investigating how the ethical principles found in the literature and in the codes of conduct are noticed and taken into account in Administration research activities developed by acting researchers in Administration Post Graduation Programs. Theoretically speaking, the study was based mainly on the approaches by Creswell (2007) and Bell and Bryman (2007), which discuss the research ethical principles. Methodologically speaking it was all about an exploratory kind of study, with qualitative research approach. Upon data collection, personal interviews were made aiming at its depth and focus groups were formed. The first stage had interviews with four experienced researchers who took part on a teaching and researching event and on the second stage we used the focus group technique. The focus groups were done in four college institutions along with the post graduation programs in Administration in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Pernambuco, in Brazil. The results suggest the existence of general principles and parameters for the scientific research recommended in the literature and on official resolution. However, in the Administration area, there are only a few recommendations of good practices when it comes to submitting articles for scientific publications but we found no guidance with ethical principles and parameters which cover all the activities in the scientific research and which specifically meet the research particularities in Administration. The main ethical dilemma pointed by the researchers refers to ethical questions which arise at the time of data collection and on disclosing the results. Most researchers do not know the guidelines and the ethical norms on ethics about research that we have in our country neither do they send in their projects to the research ethics committee. When dilemma arises, they decide the ethical question based on their values and common sense. These elements confirm the thesis that the researcher s procedure in the research activities in Administration is predominantly signed by personal values or by common sense and less by ethical principles, whether by not knowing the normative instruments related to ethics or by disagreeing with any disciplining rules on ethical behavior in the research

The theoretical recital of the present study it is initiated of the evidence that the work occupies an important space in the man s life in way that the majority of the people works and passes great part of its time inside organizati ons. However, it is verified that the relation between man and work is becoming increasingly disagreement a time that the employees had started to complain work s routines, stress, not use all their potential and inadequate work s conditions. It can be observed by the way of Dejours (1994) studies. Thus, as contribution for the quality of work life s (QWL) studies the research developed here objectified to characterize the public employees quality of work life at EMATER -RN taking as reference an instrumen t of research synthesized from the typical academic literature of the subject. The synthesis of an ampler instrument is a necessity not taken care to the literature that treats on the subject but already perceived by some studies like Moraes et al (1990); Rodrigues (1989); Siqueira & Coleta (1989); Moraes et al (1992); Carvalho & Souza (2003); El -Aouar & Souza (2003) and Mourão, Kilimnick & Fernandes (2005); Adorno, Marques & Borges (2005) amongst others. These studies point out weak points of the existing models in the QWL s literature, as well as they recommend the elaboration of a model more flexible, that contemplates Brazilian cultural characteristics, and that contemplates the entire variable studied in the main existing models. For reach this objectiv e the adopted methodology was characterized as a case study with collected data in qualitative and quantitative way. Questionnaires and comments had been used as sources of evidences. These evidences had been tabulated through of statistical package SPSS ( Statistical Package for Social Science), in which the main technique of multivariate analysis used were the factorial analysis. As for the gotten results, it was verified the grouping of the quality of work life s indicators in 11 factors which are: Work s execution, Individual accomplishment, Work s equity, Relation individual and organization, Work s organization, Adequacy of the remuneration, Relation between head and subordinate, Effectiveness of the communication and the learning, Relation between work and personal life, Participation and Effectiveness of the work processes. Whatever to the characterization of the EMATER -RN s quality of work life it was clearly that to the measure that the satisfaction s evaluation with the QWL in the organization walks to intrinsic factors for extrinsic factors this level of satisfaction goes diminishing what points to the importance to improve these extrinsic factors in the institution. In summary it is possible to conclude that the organization studied has offered a significant set of referring variable to the quality of work life of the individual

The Information Technology (IT) is increasing his applicability to business, both private and public companies. It is necessary the adequate use of the new technologies and get cooperation and technology acceptance of the system. People tend to resist to the changes, contributing so that the technology is rejected or even it is not recognized as promoting of the changes. This study is relevant and aim to evaluate the impacts of new technologies, considering their users as fundamental factors in the change process. The survey analyzed the advantages and the barriers of the system use in three federal special judicial of Rio Grande do Norte, with data collected in May of 2007, through the application of questionnaires to thirty eight users of the virtual system CRETA. The users' perception was evaluated, under the optics of five variables: efficiency, image, agility, ease of use and quality. Starting from the obtained results, it was evidenced that the implementation of the system felt accordingly the expected and it reached the objectives intended that were: the velocity and efficiency in the path of the lawsuits, larger productivity, resulting in a better quality of the final work introduced to the citizen and proportionate an improvement in the organizational image of the judiciary power

The current paper aims at analyzing customer retention in Internet provider services. For this study, we sought to understand what are the client's expectations regarding the services available and compare them with management perception in relation to the use of those services. Identifying the coherence level between the two points of view, management and client, it is possible to pinpoint how service is assessed in real conditions. Then, from this point on, a new vision can be implemented on available services, and new customer service strategies aiming at best serving to their expectation and need, can be rethought. The exploratory research was utilized. It was based on case study, and quantitative and qualitative methods were used. The quantitative method was done by applying the cluster technique with six variables of control derived from the six main services, whose definition was done through qualitative survey of the internal management team. Then, an structured interview with 443 clients, from a probabilistic sample of 800 costumers. The total number of active clients of the internet provider is of 10.677. Client perception in relation to services varied, if compared with the four services that were under the managerial metric method, this comparison showed a more positive evaluation than the real use of the service. Thus, it was observed that the value of each service available for the client depends on his/her perception of it, regardless of using or not the offered service. As a result, it is possible to understand which services offered by the company under study effectively contribute to a good client-company relationship, and the upkeep of those clients

In recent decades the public sector comes under pressure in order to improve its performance. The use of Information Technology (IT) has been a tool increasingly used in reaching that goal. Thus, it has become an important issue in public organizations, particularly in institutions of higher education, determine which factors influence the acceptance and use of technology, impacting on the success of its implementation and the desired organizational results. The Technology Acceptance Model - TAM was used as the basis for this study and is based on the constructs perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, when it comes to integrated management systems due to the complexity of its implementation,organizational factors were added to thus seek further explanation of the acceptance of such systems. Thus, added to the model five TAM constructs related to critical success factors in implementing ERP systems, they are: support of top management, communication, training, cooperation, and technological complexity (BUENO and SALMERON, 2008). Based on the foregoing, launches the following research problem: What factors influence the acceptance and use of SIE / module academic at the Federal University of Para, from the users' perception of teachers and technicians? The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of organizational factors, and behavioral antecedents of behavioral intention to use the SIE / module academic UFPA in the perspective of teachers and technical users. This is applied research, exploratory and descriptive, quantitative with the implementation of a survey, and data collection occurred through a structured questionnaire applied to a sample of 229 teachers and 30 technical and administrative staff. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling with the technique of partial least squares (PLS). Effected primarily to assess the measurement model, which were verified reliability, convergent and discriminant validity for all indicators and constructs. Then the structural model was analyzed using the bootstrap resampling technique like. In assessing statistical significance, all hypotheses were supported. The coefficient of determination (R ²) was high or average in five of the six endogenous variables, so the model explains 47.3% of the variation in behavioral intention. It is noteworthy that among the antecedents of behavioral intention (BI) analyzed in this study, perceived usefulness is the variable that has a greater effect on behavioral intention, followed by ease of use (PEU) and attitude (AT). Among the organizational aspects (critical success factors) studied technological complexity (TC) and training (ERT) were those with greatest effect on behavioral intention to use, although these effects were lower than those produced by behavioral factors (originating from TAM). It is pointed out further that the support of senior management (TMS) showed, among all variables, the least effect on the intention to use (BI) and was followed by communications (COM) and cooperation (CO), which exert a low effect on behavioral intention (BI). Therefore, as other studies on the TAM constructs were adequate for the present research. Thus, the study contributed towards proving evidence that the Technology Acceptance Model can be applied to predict the acceptance of integrated management systems, even in public. The study aimed to understand how the methodology of hatching contributes to the sustainability of economic enterprises in solidarity. For analysis, we developed a study on the social economy and the incubation methodology, based on the program of teaching, research and extension - Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship Solidarity (PITCPES), and as the survey of the Cooperative of Fruit of Abaetetuba - COFRUTA. We started from the exploratory-descriptive approach in a qualitative and quantitative, in order to demonstrate the process of sustainability under the dimensions of different kinds such as: the economic dimension, social dimension, the political dimension, size and scale management training. Based on the analysis of these different dimensions was reached results as: first the recognition that the incubator contributes to the sustainability of COFRUTA, especially with regard to planning, control and the need to diversify production. However, there was suggestion of cooperative for training and technical assistance is continued, to the extent that the performance of projects under the base leaves gaps for the learning and application of social technologies required to the Incubator. It also concluded that the dissertation contributes to the team of the incubator can assess their strengths and weaknesses in their performance

This work addresses the study of interdisciplinarity in higher administration education, a topic of great relevance in the present context, due to guidelines issued by Ministry of Education through the National Curriculum Guidelines -NCGs for undergraduate courses in Management. The attention on the subject emerges from the gained experience of a researcher and teacher working as manager of an undergraduate course in Business Administration who set up interdisciplinarity through interdisciplinary projects in a management course pedagogical project at a private university in State of Pará/Brazil. The work rebuilds and reports experiences, and studies the practice of lecturers involved in those interdisciplinary actions. The study aimed to identify changes in pedagogical practices of teachers involved in the searched interdisciplinary experience. To address the questions that directed the work and achieve proposed objectives, from a qualitative approach, a significant bibliographical and documentary work was conducted on the topic. In the survey carried out on secondary sources such as publications of major authors and scientific papers reporting interdisciplinary experiences in higher administration education, it was found that interdisciplinarity for its ambiguous character is still poorly understood by teachers, and reports on its application in administration teaching are incipient. This study also used data collected from primary sources, from dialogues through interviews with educational fellows - teachers and officers of the institution that served as locus of the research, who had the opportunity to experience the studied interdisciplinary experience. Data were processed and analyzed using content analysis technique. Research results showed that teachers of the institution of research have a good understanding of meaning of interdisciplinarity as a link between disciplines; it was also found substantial evidence of changes in teaching practices and actions of such teachers based on their participation in interdisciplinary projects. Although the experience studied can be considered innovative and challenging, much needs to be done in the course management for achievement of interdisciplinary actions in the course, particularly regarding to the removal of institutional, methodological, psychosocial, epistemological obstacles in operationalizing interdisciplinary practices, with emphasis on the need of a process of continuous and specific training aiming at developing skills for interdisciplinary acting, to the extent that these education professionals do not perceive themselves able to act as interdisciplinary lecturers
