Information retrieval is a recurrent subject in search of information science. This kind of study aim to improve results in both searches on the Web and in various other digital information environment. In this context, the Iterative Representation model suggested for digital repositories, appears as a differential that changes the paradigm of self-archiving of digital objects, creating a concept of relationship between terms that link the user thought the material deposited in the digital environment. The links effect by the Iterative Representation aided Assisted Folksonomy generate a shaped structure that connects networks, vertically and horizontally, the objects deposited, relying on some kind of structure for representing knowledge of specialty areas and therefore, creating an information network based on knowledge of users. With the increasing development of the brazilian sheep production, the producer was forced to achieve higher production rates. The use of artificial insemination has been shown as an important biotechnological tool in animal breeding. Among the various existing techniques, the superficial cervical insemination with fresh semen is demonstrating fertility rates between 70 and 80% (AISEN, 2008), in addition to its applicability, it does not require sophisticated equipment or manpower to highly specialized implementing these plans greater possibility in your job to maximize reproduction and greater dissemination of superior genetic material on the property. Síndrome dilatação-vólvulo gástrico em cães

The gastric dilatation- volvulus (GDV) is an acute and potentially lethal disease, characterized by increased size of the stomach associated with mesenteric rotation on its axis, which affects mainly large breed dogs and giants with deep and narrow chest. The diagnosis is made from the history, physical examination, clinical signs and radiographic evaluation. It is an emergency that requires immediate therapy and consists on protocols to treat shock, gastric decompression, surgical repositioning of the stomach, gastropexy and intensive post-operative care. Despite the significant progress in the elucidation of pathophysiological events, risk factors and treatment, there was almost no progress in determining the root causes of this disease. A significant advance was recently described in the literature on this topic is the technique of gastropexy laparoscopy. Instruct the owners of the high risk breeds is extremely important to avoid situations in which the severity of the illness make the surgical treatment impracticable and the animal’s condition irreversible

Otimização de um método cromatográfico de análise de pesticidas organoclorados em amostras de peixes

Considering that persistent organic pollutants (POPs) including synthetic substances belonging to differents organic functions, including organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), which are the most persistent and bioaccumulative, with high toxicity to humans and animals. Accordingly environmental and biological monitoring is necessary, in order to have greater control regarding the irresponsible use of these products. Though there are several analytical methodology reported in the literature to make determinations of this pesticide, they present some difficulties, requiring several steps to make the clean up of the sample. The proposed project aims to optimize a new analytical method that allows to perform the extraction of organochlorine pesticides in fish tissues, employing acetone as solvent assisted by ultrasound bath, making the method more quickly and not requiringfurther steps to purify the sample. Were analyzed the recoveries of pesticides in study in samples of tilapia average values: Heptachlor=84,7±9,8%; Aldrin=87,3±3,5%; Endosulfan=101,4±18,6%; DDE= 90,5± 3,3%, Endrin=102,2±13,8%., DDD=92,1±19,9%; DDT=90,8±6,8%. The real samples showed values granted for our legislation and low values of error

Correlação entre aneuploidia cromossômica em espermatozóides e taxa de implantação embrionária: subtitulo

Infertility is directly related to chromosomal abnormalities in germ cells. Among them, the aneuploidies are the most frequent chromosomal abnormalities and responsible for embryo implantation failures, miscarriages, fetal losses and newborns with congenital malformations, mental disability and neuropsychomotor developmental delay. Male patients with normal somatic karyotype may present different rates of aneuploidies in sperm, resulting in abnormal embryos. This study aimed to correlate the frequency of chromosomal aneuploidies in spermatozoa with embryo implantation rate in couples undergoing assisted reproductive techniques. The methodology has included chromosomal analysis by GTG banding and molecular cytogenetic study using Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization technique for evaluation of chromosomes 9, X and Y in germ cells of 22 patients referred to the Human Reproduction Service of the Clinical Hospital FMRP-USP. Embryo implantation rates were determined by hormonal evaluation in maternal peripheral blood and ultrasound confirmation. Two patients presented abnormal karyotype, characterized by polymorphism of the heterochromatic region of the long arm of chromosome 9 and a satellite in the short arm of chromosome 22. Both alterations, usually considered variants of normality, have been related to infertility phenotype and miscarriages. Significant differences were detected between couples who presented pregnancy (group 1) and couples with embryo implantation failure (group 2), with higher frequency of aneusomy and diploidy of chromosome 9, as well as total aneuploidy in sperm of group 2 patients. Our results suggest a correlation between aneuploidy and embryo implantation rates, since the infertile group with reproductive failure has showed higher frequency of aneuploidy.
