Identitat cultural de gènere, discurs de la domesticitat i definició del treball de les dones a l'Espanya del segle XIX

Aquest article argumenta que la construcció histbrica de la feminitat va ser crucial en la conceptualització i definició del treball remunerat de les dones. En el context de la Catalunya de finals del segle dinou i comentaments del vint, examina la construcció sociocultural de gtnere i se centra en el discurs de la conceptualització del treball femení al mateix temps que 6s examinat des de la perspectiva de la diversitat de classe. A més, I'estudi analitza el desenvolupament d'una cultura del treball en el context del moviment de la classe treballadora i planteja el problema del context de la classe treballadora per generar una visió alternativa del treball remunerat de les dones que reconegui el paper de les treballadores. Demostra que, malgrat la visió radical i10 revolucionAria de la societat, les relacions de gknere en gran mesura no han estat qüestionades en els circuits de la classe treballadora. Aquest article considera el discurs de la domesticitat com a crucial en el desenvolupament de I'actitud de la classe treballadora catalana cap al treball assalariat femení i examina les implicacions que aixb va tenir en la continua discriminació i en la manca del reconeixement social del treball assalariat de les dones.

Early parenteral lipids and growth velocity in extremely-low-birth-weight infants.

BACKGROUND & AIMS: Whether early parenteral lipids improve postnatal growth of preterm neonates remains unclear. We aimed to assess the effects of parenteral lipids on growth velocity in extremely-low-birth-weight infants. METHODS: This retrospective cohort study included 121 extremely-low-birth-weight infants. The associations between parenteral lipids (cumulative intakes during the first week and delays in their introduction) and growth velocities (weight, head circumference and length) up to 28 days of life and to 36 weeks of corrected age were analysed using uni- and multivariate linear regression. RESULTS: Univariate analyses showed a significant positive association between the cumulative intakes of parenteral lipids during the first week and i) weight gain up to day 28; ii) weight gain up to 36 weeks of corrected age; iii) head circumference growth up to day 28. There was a negative correlation between the delay in parenteral lipid introduction and weight gain up to day 28. In multivariate analyses, the association between the cumulative intakes of parenteral lipids and weight gain up to 28 days was independent of gestational age at birth, birth weight, sex, smallness for gestational age, and enteral intakes (regression coefficient: 0.19; 95% CI: 0.01-0.38) and, up to 36 weeks, independent of gestational age, birth weight, sex, smallness for gestational age and parenteral glucose and amino acids (0.16; 95% CI: 0.04-0.27). CONCLUSIONS: Parenteral lipids during the first week were positively associated with weight gain in extremely-low-birth-weight infants and could improve early nutritional support of preterm neonates.

L'adquisició de competències narratives i audiovisuals mitjançant el llibre il·lustrat, la tira còmica i el cinema d'animació

El propòsit d'aquest estudi té un doble objectiu: d'una banda, des del punt de vista històric, assenyalar la confluència existent, a cavall dels segles XIX i XX, d'un magma comú de pràctiques del dibuix que permeteren l'eclosió de certes arts narratives com el llibre il-lustrat, la tira còmica i el cinema d'animació, materials que cent anys després de la seva gènesi encara no han trobat el seu lloc en l'ensenyament i, de l'altra, des del punt de vista educatiu, aportar instruments de reflexió per a l'adquisició de millors competències narratives i audiovisuals a partir d'aquests materials.

The work analyzes this problem of "bad reading" tracing a journey from Fernán Caballero to Freud, and comments on several episodes about the act of reading, from Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda's "Autobiography", Clemencia, Amalia, Madame Bovary, María, La Regenta and Dora's Case.

Bibliotecas brasileiras vistas pelos viajantes no século XIX

Desde o seu descobrimento, o Brasil foi alvo da curiosidade estrangeira. A partir dos primeiros séculos da colonização, o país começou a receber viajantes cujo número aumentou consideravelmente com a abertura dos portos em 1808. Após o retorno aos países de origem, muitos publicaram seus relatos de viagens, que atraíram levas de leitores. O conjunto dessas obras, conhecido como "literatura de viagens", constitui rica fonte para o estudo de diferentes aspectos da história do Brasil. Este artigo traz uma compilação das informações deixadas por viajantes sobre bibliotecas brasileiras. Sem pretender cobrir todos os autores, foram examinados os relatos mais conhecidos abrangendo o período do século XIX. Não se buscou fazer uma análise desses dados nem a sua verificação, mas apresentar o panorama das bibliotecas percorridas pelos visitantes e a forma como foram vistas por eles no período citado.
