The main impact of hearing loss, in childhood, is the difficult to speech perception. The hearing aids and the cochlear implant are resources used to decrease a result of hearing loss. After the adjustment of these resources, with the therapeutic process, is possible that children with profound hearing impairment develop their hearing abilities, so they will have possibilities to notice phonetic and phonological characteristics of the language. Different speech perception procedures investigate which phonetic and phonological characteristics of the speech segment can be noticed by children with hearing loss. This study aims at analyzing the audiology profile and the speech perception in deaf children and adolescent.

The purpose of this work was the inlay’s characterization from the water supply networks of Rio Claro-SP city; as well analyze the influence of network’s aging in the actual system. To do this, some samples of inlays were collected and made chemistry analysis and X-Ray Diffraction Spectrometry. The history of the source water quality was also analyzed, to make possible to known the origins of the inlays. To evaluate the performance of the network, some different scenarios have been simulated, varying the resistance coefficient of the water supply networks of Rio Claro-SP. The characterization results showed that there are basically oxide and hydroxide of iron (magnetite and goethite) and quartz in the inlays, which are materials of high hardness. The hydraulic simulations indicated that the simulated scenarios had a variation of ~2000% in terms of loss of energy

Análise preliminar para a estimativa da perda de calor sensível de um fluido homogêneo térmico em um reservatório de geometria cilindrica

This work analyzed the loss of sensible heat from one fluid to be considered homogeneous heat distribution on a thermal reservoir with cylindrical geometries composite insulating layers. We studied two thermal reservoirs with a volume of 20 liters, and the first has a layer thickness of 75 mm of expanding polyurethane foam wrapped in the polycarbonate container and the second container has only layer thickness of 5 mm of polycarbonate, as insulation of fluid of the external environment. The experimental results are compared with theoretical results obtained through a calculation script, displayed and detailed during the work development, from the theory of energy balance. The maximum error introduced between the theoretical and experimental results were 3.5% and 1.4% respectively for the Boilers with or without a polyurethane coating

On the field of the projects of hydraulic systems exists a lot of worries when we talk about the calculate of hydraulic pumps. In this case some facts must be considerate: length of tubes, fluid characteristics, height gauge, temperature, pressure, characteristics of tubes, flow required and others. For that mathematic calculates must be developed with the objective to optimize hydraulic pumps and agree to find an ideal machine (that don't requires more energy than necessary or less energy than it requires; that is the more critical case, cause exists the risk that the fluid pumped do not agree to become in your destiny). The wrong calculate of this machine can super-size its, bringing an excessive energy consumption. Actually it's an important subject because we are in the age of lack of energy what turn it more expensive. So the correct sizing of a hydraulic pump is connected with the fact that you have to uses the enough energy resources avoiding waste. The calculate of ideal pump in the pumping system is studied during years and a lot of specialists in this subject develop equations and theories to calculate its. Some researches study about this subject and all of them become to the same conclusion: to find the ideal pump we have to know the characteristics of fluid (cinematic viscosity), the required flow , overall yield (overall of motor x overall of pump) the high gauge or discharge pressure and the loss of repression. The pressure drop can be calculated with different theories: using Hazen-Williams, Darcy e Weisbach or Chézy (1775 - that starts the researches to calculate the pressure drop). Although the most used theory and what is most near to reality is the Darcy's equation. So, in this job the Darcy's equation were choice to calculate the drop pressure that consider what kind of flow we are studying: laminar or turbulent. Influência de software de otimização de corte no rendimento de serraria da região sudoeste paulista

This study aimed to analyze the increase of yield provided by a software optimization cutting in a pine sawmill, located at southwest region of São Paulo, city of Itapeva. First were measured 10 logs that were processed by conventional sawing system by measuring the volume of products in the process output. Then using a cutting optimization software, that generated cuts diagrams, 10 logs, from 25 to 26 cm diametrical class, were processed by sawing system optimized. For the conventional sawing, the value found to yield was 41.80%, whereas for the unfolding optimized showed the value of 61.79%, resulting in a difference of 19.99%. This study shows that there is room for significant improvement of performance in sawmills sawing with the use of optimization software as the employee at work

Análise de sistemas de máquinas térmicas em plantas de processos químicos

Pressure drop and energy efficiency of compressors in chemical plants are the focus of this study. Its objective is an analysis of possible sources of energy loss through the study of pressure loss in pipes, calculation of thermodynamic efficiency of the compressors. Important issues are raised for this analysis such as the types of compressors, the operating range of each compressor, compression types, as well as a study of accessories such as filters and valves. After studying these issues was carried out calculations of pressure drop step-bystep and with a software WIPCD. Followed by the calculation of efficiency of compressors and monthly energy cost of each compressor in operation. Finally, the study shows some suggestions for immediate improvements, changes and suggestions for possible future purchases of compressors

Interferência do bullying no esporte de alto rendimento

Examine the phenomenon of bullying behavior that makes people teased, laughter, sarcasm, irony, among other types of attacks. This is not only physically, but with moral violence, emotional or psychological. When there is an effective intervention against bullying, all individuals in the group start to suffer with this situation, which can lead to psychological disorders, hampering the progress of relations as well as team sports, over a period of training and competition. This article analyzed a sample of athletes in order to find behaviors that characterize the extent of bullying and can see the consequences of it, as early drop out. Through the results it was concluded that the actions that characterize bullying are present in very high performance football and may even lead to drop out the sport. We also evaluate the environments frequented by teams can become enhancers of this phenomenon, they are times when athletes have a living space and one that may become amenable to the events, plus the fact that many athletes have already thought about leaving the sport because to bullying
