O papel da mediação da informação nas universidades

The information process should be understood as essential to the success of any institution, mainly those that produce knowledge. Information mediation being part of this process must be understood as an action capable of directing the knowledge construction of individuals. The information mediation in universities is a way of mediating the knowledge generated within and outside the university environment, including its specialized audience and to society. Thus the concept of information mediation is discussed in this work and its role within universities and the role of information professionals as information mediators. The social responsibility of universities needs to be reaffirmed into the society and the information is a possible way for the success of this action.

The purpose of this experimental project was to characterize the reports by the press offices of three public universities in São Paulo higher education, two state and one federal, evaluating what prerogatives of corporate communication are present in the public communication made by them. From the perspective of the content analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin and; based on the concepts involved in the definition of public communication by Pierre Zémor and Corporate Communications by Jorge Duarte, it was made an analysis of the method of construction of news from the three universities. It was used a methodology in which interspersed of quantitative analysis procedures with qualitative analysis procedures

As políticas de formação do arte educador no século XXI: o caso da UNESP no Estado de São Paulo

This paper deals with the training of art educators, focusing on the courses offered at public universities in the state of São Paulo, where, specifically the pedagogical approach of training curricula of grades offered at UNESP, campus of São Paulo and Bauru. In the current situation have been proposed, from training in undergraduate courses, new tasks and responsibilities to work teaching the teacher in order to develop this educational increasingly effective so as to ensure efficient productivity autonomous learner in the process cognitive development in basic education, the teacher being assigned the task of stimulating that process and manage situations of educational work as a way of systematizing knowledge. The research consisted of questioning whether that teacher training allowed contact with the educational resources necessary for teaching, under current conditions assigned by the neoliberal conjuncture educational work of art educator with a view to the formation of aesthetic sensibility of the students from the class working, privileged pupils of public schools, to contribute to establishing the apprehension about the pedagogical training of art educators to confront the reality school, considering the specificity of action of these teachers. Therefore we conducted a desk study of existing legislation and the National Curriculum Guidelines that guide teacher training, correlating them to Pedagogical Policy Projects and curricula of undergraduate courses in Arts Education and / or Visual Arts courses UNESP. As fundações de apoio às universidades públicas: efeitos da reforma do Estado na educação superior brasileira

The article discusses support foundations for public universities starting from the effects of State reform on Brazilian higher education in the 1990s. Based on Max Weber’s Comprehensive Sociology and on bibliographical and documentary research, it socio-historically circumscribes the management model of State administration and the concept of foundation. As one identifies the intersections between the guidelines of support foundations and the purposes of managerial administration, one understands the significance of such institutions for university management and the tendency towards commodification of Brazilian higher education.

A disciplina Língua Brasileira de Sinais nos currículos dos cursos de Pedagogia

Brazilian Sign Language signature in the pedagogy courses curricula. In 2002, the Law nº 10.436 was published determining the obligation of offering the Brazilian Signal Language (Libras) signature in all teaching graduation courses. Considering this measure, it was searched to characterize how the public Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the States of Paraná and São Paulo are organizing the signature in Pedagogy courses. The curriculum analysis developed showed that most of the public HEI’s in the State of Paraná provides its inclusion, while in the State of São Paulo the estimate is 60%. Most of the syllabus covers topics including deaf students, deaf culture and Libras linguistic aspects.
