The spatial formation of Rio Claro city preserves several features of the problematic transition from the slave to remunerated labor in the late 20th, when the tacit ethnic bipolar sociability standard emerged, imprinting “black” and “white” forms to the city’s urban space. The ethnic social clubs José do Patrocínio and Tamoio, are two objects of ethnic groups’ exclusive use. Such ethnic social clubs indicate the existence of conflicts in their formation, as well as in their present existence, they are forms that preserve in themselves the codes and histories of the local black movement’s fight for their rights and for an autonomous place in the local society. In the present context the spaces are increasingly subjected to commercial interests and the spirits are embedded in confusion. What is the value of these spaces for the subjects who built them? The versions and narratives from oral accounts will allow us to understand the existing dimensions in the relation between the places and the memory, evidencing the importance of the patrimony and the patrimonial policies to the cities in the present historical period of geographic space globalization

Análise microclimática funcional da Floresta Estadual Edmundo Navarro de Andrade: comparação entre os períodos 1889-1917, 1971-1999 e 1999-2011

Currently the forests around the world face different aspects of weather. Global climate change and its adversities alter significantly the dynamics of the forest, directly influencing the operation. Human activities interfere in the functions of forests, either by removal of vegetation, either by reforesting deforested areas. Given the influence of human activity and climate change on forests, this project presents a comparative and analytical situation, the microclimatic level, the State Forest Edmundo Navarro de Andrade (FEENA), in Rio Claro. We measured the temperature maximum, minimum and average in different periods surrounding the FEENA, from 1889 to 1917, 1971 to 1999 and from 1999 to 2011. What allowed to suggest changes in the microclimate of your surroundings and probably in forest dynamics

Atratividade da carreira docente no curso de licenciatura em pedagogia: dilemas, escolhas e inserção profissional

Escolher uma profissão e pensar sobre a inserção no mundo do trabalho tem se tornado tarefa cada vez mais difícil para os jovens. Vários são os fatores que podem influenciar na decisão como: as características pessoais, habilidades específicas em determinada área, o contexto histórico e o ambiente sociocultural em que o indivíduo vive, entre outros (GATTI, 2009). A decisão de uma profissão irá influenciar de forma direta ou indireta sua vida financeira, pessoal, familiar, entre outras áreas. (SANTOS, 2005). Dentre as diversas profissões existentes, no presente trabalho destacaremos a carreira docente, tendo como objetivos: 1. Investigar junto aos alunos do curso de Pedagogia da UNESP de Rio Claro as razões para a escolha da docência como profissão e; 2. Identificar no âmbito desse curso os dilemas e as perspectivas que são apontadas por esses estudantes no universo de sua formação e futura profissão. Optamos pela pesquisa qualitativa, tendo como paradigma o construtivismo social, pois parte-se do pressuposto de que as pessoas agem em função de seus valores, crenças, sentimentos e percepções. Na coleta de dados utilizamos como instrumentos o questionário, a entrevista semiestruturada e análise de conteúdo no tratamento dos dados, tendo como participantes 60 estudantes de Pedagogia na aplicação do questionário e 12 participantes escolhidos para a entrevista, sendo três discentes de cada ano). Entre os resultados encontrados observamos a forte influência que a família, os professores e a escola desempenham no jovem que está em processo de decisão profissional. Em relação a escolha do curso de Pedagogia, vimos que a motivação principal apontada pelos estudantes ficou no campo da satisfação pessoal, o gostar da profissão/área da educação apesar dos autores apontarem a docência como sendo pouco atrativa pelos jovens por diversos fatores... Narrativa e experiência: percepções, práticas culturais e memórias de pessoas migrantes

Based in the contact with adults with little education that living in two suburbs of Rio Claro-SP, whose population is largely coming from other states, there were some questions, including: What are reasons for migration are pointed in the narratives of adults little schooling participants EJA classes? So, in the first moment of this research, we present some data collected through a questionnaire applied to students of EJA, we taking information about the state and county of origin of each student. In the second stage methodology was used Oral History pointed questions about the motives of migration reported by subjects who migrated, access and search for education and practice in reading and writing. Comportamento da temperatura da massa de resíduos aterrados em um aterro sanitário

In this paper we investigate the temperature variation of the mass of waste along the depth in a household waste landfill of Rio Claro - SP, São Paulo, having a climate characterized as Tropical Altitude. In this research, there were two holes in two distinct points of the landfill, with different depths and characteristics in order to fix several thermal sensors - RTDs - to record the temperature at predetermined depths. Overall, the results show the influence of temperature at depths of up to 3.0 meters (from the surface) and that it varies in a manner to stabilize at depths above 5.0 meters. The highest temperature obtained was approximately 37.5 ° C for a time of waste disposal of 7 to 10 years. The results showed the presence of organic matter (substrate) which resulted in elevated temperature resulting from biological activity

Los predictores psiconeuroinmunológicos de la sobrecarga de cuidado en ancianos cuidadores de pacientes con enfermedad de Alzheimer

Introduction: The responsibility of giving care to patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) may result in health changes in the older caregiver. It is important to explore the factors which influence the presence of care burden and to create strategies to face this condition. In this context, the aims of present study were to investigate the relationships between psychoneuroimmunological parameters and determine the predictors to burden in older caregivers of patients with AD. Material and methods: A total of 30 AD older caregivers participating in the «Cognitive and Functional Kinesiotherapy Program in Elderly with Alzheimer’s disease«(PRO-CDA)», de Rio Claro, SP-Brazil, were submitted to an assessment protocol to evaluate the psychoneuroimmunological parameters. A descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson correlation and multiple linear regressions were performed.

Escola de tempo integral: uma análise do processo de implantação na Escola Estadual Carolina Augusta Seraphim. -

No Brasil a educação é um tema delicado, com histórico de índices de reprovação e evasão escolar altos, escolas públicas em condições precárias em muitas regiões e profissionais da área pouco valorizados. As políticas públicas são uma importante ferramenta quando se busca sanar todos estes problemas. Uma proposta que vem sendo implantada no Estado de São Paulo é o das Escolas de Tempo Integral, em que os alunos têm a oportunidade de passar mais tempo na escola, com atividades diferenciadas e um modelo diferente da escola comum. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a proposta do modelo e a implementação do mesmo na Escola Estadual Carolina Augusta Seraphim, localizada em Rio Claro. Para a análise de conteúdo, realizada neste trabalho, foi feito o levantamento de material bibliográfico referente ao tema de Escola de Tempo Integral, principalmente no Estado de São Paulo. Também foram analisados documentos e materiais disponíveis no blog da EE Carolina Augusta Seraphim. Podem ser destacados pontos positivos do Programa, como a dedicação exclusiva da equipe gestora, a valorização dos profissionais envolvidos, a participação mais aproximada da comunidade e família dos alunos, a possibilidade que os estudantes têm de pensar e planejar seu futuro. Existem ainda questões a serem melhor debatidas, analisadas ou até mesmo aprimoradas, devido às particularidades de cada escola e até mesmo inovações tecnológicas que podem ser usadas como ferramentas de ensino. Essas são algumas das questões abordadas e analisadas ao longo do trabalho

História natural do Bacurau-Chintã (Hydropsalis parvula): comportamento de forrageamento, migração e caracterização dos poleiros de pouso e vocalização. -

A família Caprimulgidae apresenta distribuição cosmopolita, porém as regiões mais quentes, como os neotrópicos, detêm a maior diversidade de espécies. Ocorrem em quase todos os tipos de hábitat. São aves basicamente insetívoras, de hábitos noturnos (maioria das espécies). Os conhecimentos a cerca desta família são, ainda, escassos. O bacurau-chintã (Hydropsalis parvula) pertence a esta família de aves e, do mesmo modo, pouco se sabe sobre sua biologia. O presente estudo teve o intuito de trazer novas informações sobre comportamento de forrageamento, uso de poleiros e a distribuição da espécie no Brasil. Os estudos de campo foram realizados durante o segundo semestre dos anos de 2011 a 2013, no período noturno, em uma área situada aos fundos do campus da UNESP de Rio Claro, SP. Os aspectos referentes à forrageamento e uso de poleiros foram anotados em planilhas de campo, sendo posteriormente compilados em planilhas eletrônicas e analisados em software de análises estatísticas. A distribuição da espécie foi estudada por meio da compilação de registros em meios eletrônicos (bases de dados e buscas online) referências bibliográficas e registros cedidos por terceiros. As datas de chegada e saída da espécie para a área de estudo foram registradas com o objetivo de identificar o período de permanência da mesma no local, já que a espécie é localmente migratória. Foram observados: 55 eventos de forrageamento, dos quais 45 foram considerados independentes e incluídos nas análises; e 58 eventos de uso de poleiro (todos incluídos nas análises). Foram compilados 767 registros da espécie, distribuídos por todos os estados brasileiros e um mapa de distribuição foi elaborado. The academies are important spaces for dissemination of physical activity and one of the own market niches of Physical Education professionals. The preparation of these professionals takes place in universities facing the transformation of the body through specific physical activities related to the different objectives pursued by the students of academies with what they can offer. Expected to identify the motivations that lead people to academies and whether such motivations are met by the academies. Many professionals of Physical Education are included in the academies environment, very important space for dissemination of physical activity and increasingly attended by the population, due to the practicality of offering various activities in one location. This feature is essential in today's world, as people have less and less time to devote to body care. In pursuit of various goals, such as weight loss, lean mass gain (hypertrophy), aesthetics, health and leisure, attendees expect to reach them through the work of physical education professional. It is expected that this be prepared to meet the most varied demands and goals, so that students are satisfied with the service and obtain the desired results. The academy works as a means, a provider of space that provides tools for the teacher meet the needs of students; now this student has the role of establishing goals and engage in the search results.
