També es veu com es va anar perfilant el col·lectiu d'actrius de musical i com va evolucionar la seva tècnica vocal. Finalment, l'anàlisi de les dades recollides mostra quins recursos vocals coneixen i utilitzen aquestes actrius actualment

Estudi dut a terme dins de l'equip col·laboratiu CLIL-SI, sobre el treball en petit grup en una aula AICLE de ciències en anglès, partint d'una perspectiva sociocultural de l'aprenentatge, i parant especial atenció a la distinció entre tasca (material proposat pel docent) i activitat (allò que els alumnes fan per a realitzar la tasca de manera comunicativa) que proposa la Teoria de l'Activitat. L'objectiu és comprendre millor la dinàmica de grup en el desenvolupament d'una tasca AICLE, i observar les instàncies d'integració de continguts i llengua, per la qual cosa es descriuen i categoritzen les activitats que fan els alumnes

Virtualització de fires i ciutats

El món del videojoc està en constant evolució. Les últimes tendències marquen que els jocs online són els més acceptats per gran part dels usuaris. Aquest projecte forma part d’un videojoc orientat tant a la part més lúdica dels videojocs (visió clàssica), com a les xarxes socials i els negocis, combinat tot en una mateixa plataforma. Tot això integrat en un videojoc executable des del navegador i sense necessitat de cap tipus d’instal·lació. S’han desenvolupat una sèrie de mòduls per a satisfer les necessitats i els requeriments d’aquesta plataforma.

Dawn for the galaxy: creació d'un joc web d'estratègia en temps real, multijugador i massiu

“Dawn or the Galaxy” és un treball de final de carrera que té com a objectiu principal la creació i desenvolupament d’una versió de demostració per a un joc del tipus MMORTS (massive multiplayer online real-time strategy) tractant d’incloure elements innovadors en aquest gènere de jocs i oferint un ampli ventall estratègic des de l’inici del joc. Per tal d’assolir l’objectiu es realitzarà un petit sondeig de mercat inicial i un estudi de models de jocs d’estratègia. El joc estarà integrat per més de seixanta fitxers de codi, una base de dades amb catorze taules interrelacionades no normalitzades i podrà tenir cabuda per a uns cinc-cents jugadors. Un cop programat l’aplicatiu, el joc es provarà en un entorn real, amb usuaris reals. Per a resoldre els problemes durant el transcurs del joc de forma ràpida, la aplicació serà sotmesa a un seguiment exhaustiu. La col·laboració dels jugadors en aquest punt serà fonamental.

Welfare Maximizing Contest Success Functions when the Planner Cannot Commit

We analyze how a contest organizer chooses optimally the winner when the contestants' efforts are already exerted and commitment to the use of a given contest success function is not possible. We de…ne the notion of rationalizability in mixed-strategies to capture such a situation. Our approach allows to derive different contest success functions depending on the aims and attitudes of the decider. We derive contest success functions which are closely related to commonly used functions providing new support for them. By taking into account social welfare considerations our approach bridges the contest literature and the recent literature on political economy. Complementarities between mathematical and computational modeling: the case of the repeated Prisoners' Dilemma

We study the properties of the well known Replicator Dynamics when applied to a finitely repeated version of the Prisoners' Dilemma game. We characterize the behavior of such dynamics under strongly simplifying assumptions (i.e. only 3 strategies are available) and show that the basin of attraction of defection shrinks as the number of repetitions increases. After discussing the difficulties involved in trying to relax the 'strongly simplifying assumptions' above, we approach the same model by means of simulations based on genetic algorithms. The resulting simulations describe a behavior of the system very close to the one predicted by the replicator dynamics without imposing any of the assumptions of the mathematical model. Our main conclusion is that mathematical and computational models are good complements for research in social sciences. Indeed, while computational models are extremely useful to extend the scope of the analysis to complex scenarios hard to analyze mathematically, formal models can be useful to verify and to explain the outcomes of computational models.

Sharing the surplus in games with externalities within and across issues

We consider environments in which agents can cooperate on multiple issues and externalities are present both within and across issues. We propose a way to extend (Shapley) values that have been put forward to deal with externalities within issues to games where there are externalities within and across issues. We characterize our proposal through axioms that extend the Shapley axioms to our more general environment.

Competition for Procurement Shares

We propose a new procurement procedure which allocates shares of the total amount to be procured depending on the bids of suppliers. Among the properties of the mechanism are: (i) Bidders have an incentive to par- ticipate in the procurement procedure, as equilibrium payoffs are strictly positive. (ii) The mechanism allows to vary the extent to which affirma- tive action objectives, like promoting local industries, are pursued. (iii) Surprisingly, even accomplishing affirmative action goals, procurement ex- penditures might be lower than under a classical auction format. Keywords: Procurement Auction, Affirmative Action. An axiomatic justification of mediation in bankruptcy problems.

This paper provides a natural way of reaching an agreement between two prominent proposals in a bankruptcy problem. Particularly, using the fact that such problems can be faced from two different points of views, awards and losses, we justify the average of any pair of dual bankruptcy rules through the definition a double recursive process. Finally, by considering three posible sets of equity principles that a particular society may agree on, we retrieve the average of old and well known bankruptcy rules, the Constrained Equal Awards and the Constrained Equal Losses rules, Piniles’ rule and its dual rule, and the Constrained Egalitarian rule and its dual rule. A way to play bankruptcy problems.

The commitment among agents has always been a difficult task, especially when they have to decide how to distribute the available amount of a scarce resource among all. On the one hand, there are a multiplicity of possible ways for assigning the available amount; and, on the other hand, each agent is going to propose that distribution which provides her the highest possible award. In this paper, with the purpose of making this agreement easier, firstly we use two different sets of basic properties, called Commonly Accepted Equity Principles, to delimit what agents can propose as reasonable allocations. Secondly, we extend the results obtained by Chun (1989) and Herrero (2003), obtaining new characterizations of old and well known bankruptcy rules. Finally, using the fact that bankruptcy problems can be analyzed from awards and losses, we define a mechanism which provides a new justification of the convex combinations of bankruptcy rules. A través dels teatres, els locals de moda, els artistes de cadascuna de les èpoques i en diferents modalitats artístiques. Els ballarins catalans més representatius que han estat reconeguts internacionalment i alguns dels espanyols que en algun moment van tenir alguna relació amb la ciutat de Barcelona. Anna Senyé, poeta

Anna Senyé, poeta és un treball que explora la vida i el treball literari d’una poeta catalana anònima. Anna Senyé Ramisa (Manlleu, 1881-Barcelona, 1956) fou una dona de caràcter aventurer que va tenir una vida poc convencional. Va escriure en diferents revistes i diaris catalans des de 1914 i durant la primera meitat del segle vint, tant com a poeta com a periodista i activista social, amb la publicació d’articles i manifestos en defensa dels drets dels animals. Senyé també participà en els Jocs Florals i va guanyar-hi premis en els celebrats a l’Escala i Molins de Rei. L’any 1922 va publicar el seu treball poètic en un volum, Remolinada. Els seus poemes mostren el seu amor pels animals i la natura, així com també el record de la infantesa a la seva vila natal. Presentem quatre retrats de l’escriptora: el ‘Retrat de la família’, el ‘Retrat de la dona’, el ‘de la poeta’ i finalment, el ‘Retrat de la viatgera’. Amb aquests retrats, els poemes d’Anna Senyé deixen de ser oblidats i la poeta passa a formar part de la genealogia d’escriptores catalanes. Recepció de literatura infantil i juvenil anglosaxona a la Catalunya noucentista: Treasure Island

Translation during the noucentisme was a very important resource for standardising the modern Catalan language and for filling in the historical gaps of Catalan Literature. The literati of the noucentisme looked to Europe to find works that had similar ideals to their own and that could be presented in Catalonia to educate and instruct its new generations. The translation of children and young adults’ literature, therefore, formed a major part of the project. Together with the best writers and illustrators of the period and the support of the publishing industry, the golden era in the history of children and young adults’ literature emerged. In this project our aim is to study the reception of British children and young adults’ literature during the noucentisme. This will be done by using Treasure Island and two of its translations, the first of which is from 1926 by Joan Arús and the second from 2008 by Joan Sellent. Cultural references and the illustrations will be analysed, and we shall ascertain whether the two translators and illustrators used domesticating or foreignising strategies and whether they followed the tendencies of translation of children and young adults’ literature.
