Estudos de comunicação e identidades midiático-culturais na América Latina: condicionantes e perspectivas. Uma abordagem exploratória

Apontar tendências - a médio e/ou longo prazos - para uma área do conhecimento, desafio o pesquisador para o exercício da priorização e da sistematização, mas também evidencia que escolhas foram feitas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de reunir informações capazes de demonstrar o cenário comunicacional em duas grandes frentes: ensino e pesquisa. Sistematizar trajetórias institucionais produtivas, criar e expandir políticas públicas que articulem os múltiplos atores sociais em torno de um desenvolvimento sustentável e possibilitar a reflexão sobre os arranjos institucionais mais adequados para permitir a inclusão social etc, são alguns resultados frente ao mapeamento proposto nesse material. Reconhecer e relacionar temas, incluídas as estruturas produtivas e as políticas de CT&I, P&D, as interconexões entre as múltiplas dimensões da infraestrutura, especificamente das comunicações, possibilitaram o conhecimento sobre o amadurecimento das instituições públicas e privadas e de seus acervos informacionais. Dividido em duas partes, a primeira focalizou o Brasil e suas instituições científicas e a segunda que traçou o panorama da educação do Cone Sul. O resultado apontou tendências brasileiras da Comunicação na primeira década do novo século, além de traçar o cenário da Educação no Cone Sul, a partir da segunda década, fazendo um inventário do estado atual do conhecimento

Uso de rastreadores de eventos adversos a medicamentos para farmacovigilância no âmbito hospitalar

Eventos adversos a medicamentos (EAM) ainda são uma das principais limitações nos serviços de cuidados com a saúde, causando risco aos pacientes, além de grande impacto econômico. Assim, fazem-se necessários métodos de identificação de eventos adversos mais eficazes que a tradicional notificação espontânea, a qual revela apenas 5% do total de eventos. A utilização de critérios rastreadores (ou trigger tools), elaborados pelo Institute for Healthcare Improvement, tem se mostrado como a alternativa mais válida e eficiente para a triagem dos EAM. Com o objetivo principal de identificar os principais eventos adversos e medicamentos envolvidos, uma seleção de três critérios rastreadores foi utilizada, a saber: INR (razão normalizada internacional) > 6, WBC (contagem de leucócitos) < 3000/mm³ ou registros de episódios de sedação excessiva, letargia ou queda. Informações sobre os rastreadores foram coletadas e analisadas a partir dos prontuários de pacientes internados no Hospital Estadual Américo Brasiliense internados, de novembro de 2011 a janeiro de 2012 e maio a julho de 2012, a fim de se confirmar a ocorrência de evento adverso. Foram analisados prontuários referentes a 3318 hospitalizações, nas quais foram detectados 69 eventos adversos, 49 dos quais foram causados por apenas quatro das 12 classes de medicamentos envolvidos em algum EAM: anticoagulantes orais, relacionados ao rastreador INR>6 (eficácia = 0,75), sedativos e antipsicóticos, relacionados ao rastreador de sedação excessiva, letargia ou queda (eficácia = 0,52), e antivirais, relacionados ao rastreador WBC<3000 (eficácia = 0,48). A intersemiose texto-história-cinema na minissérie ROMA da HBO

From August 2005 to March 2007, the two seasons (with 12 and 10 episodes respectively) of the award winning miniseries HBO‟s ROME were aired by the Home Box Office (HBO) channel. With screenplay signed by various writers and directors, the TV series was a coproduction of HBO (USA) and BBC (UK) with support from RAI (Italy), and the show was filmed in multiple locations, but mainly in Cinecittà Film Studios in Rome, very famous for having been headquarters also for Federico Fellini‟s movies. In the first season, the miniseries depicts the conquest of Gaul, made by the military genius of Gaius Julius Caesar, and the political trajectory that made him accumulate power to such an extent that this divided Roman citizens into two factions, one supporting and the other opposing him, the latter focused mainly on the historic figure of General Gnaeus Pompey Magnus. The second season shows the period of civil war following the assassination of Caesar, and the future rise to power of his nephew, adopted son and sole heir, Gaius Octavian Augustus, who was destined to overcome his rivals as well as their allies in the triumvirate that had been formed to pursue and punish Caesar‟s assassins. These facts are well known and usually crowd the mind and imagination of every minimally educated person. The HBO series broke new ground not only for the talent of its writers, directors and actors, not only for its visual effects and locations nor for the vibrancy and grandeur of historical scenes – after all, “historical movies” in general do the same – but it has done so also by the (re)construction of historical events from the perspective of a pair of protagonists of whom too little is known: the centurions Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus, who are the only low-rank soldiers mentioned by Caesar in his book Commentaries on the Gallic War (Commentarii de Bello Gallico V.44). Thus, the fictionalization of events also took into account several Roman civilization data which were scattered through historical sources and also those that belong to the modern knowledge of material culture, resulting in a TV series whose filmic aesthetics has rare beauty and creativity. From the survey of textual, historical and cultural data put together in this film, as well as the distance featuring the creative space in the dimension of the gap between them, this paper aims to highlight two pivotal moments of visual and narrative strategies of the show: the opening credits footage and the final scenes of the first season of HBO's Rome.

Abordagem do patrimônio histórico de bens culturais arquitetônicos nos planos diretores de pequenos municípios

This article discusses the preservation of cultural heritage, particularly the historical and architectural, in small municipalities in São Paulo State, in particular the Central Administrative Region. It pointed out that urban planning and master plans may represent an opportunity for such municipalities definitely incorporate preservation, locally. It also presents a small survey of considerations of national heritage at the municipal level and by CONDEPHAAT and IPHAN.

Leitura, escrita e livro: determinantes de práticas culturais e desenvoltura social

In this article we aim to discuss the importance of reading, writing and the book in the subject’s performance in society. This discussion tries to put these elements in time and social space. Therefore we want to show how these cultural practices of reading and writing, combined with the book can determine the development of the subject, when able to access these technologies effectively. The expected results are the change of the superficial aspects and common sense about reading, books and writing. Hope that it contributes to the expansion of the discussions on these themes. We hope to collaborate to the discussion which is being developed within the educational context on reading, books and writing, and the relationship resulting from the development of the subject in society and their ability to read and write.

This paper has as an objetive to present the survey outcomes on the railroad heritage listed by CONDEPHAAT (identification, state of conservation and public politics of use). In one hand, since the 1960s has been formulated the concept of industrial heritage, it would consider the relevance of this concept for the railroad heritage. In the other hand, it is also necessary to understand the concepts that have guided the tipping process of this organ for decades. Anyway, this is to assess the extent to these new concepts of heritage has guided the actions of the São Paulo State Council

The following research demonstrates the importance of the Public Relations professional in the management of an organizational event, aiming to present Public Relations as the area with the most expertize to put plan and organize events, due to the knowledge and theory that can be put into practice. Through a participatory research, the researcher recounts her experience with organizing Carnatlética, event in which she was a part of in 2013. Thus, it is concluded that the participation of a public-relations in the organization is critical to the success of an event, especially in issues related to advertising, media and planning
