O presente relatório de estágio pedagógico (EP) tem por objetivos descrever e analisar criticamente as seguintes atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do EP: (1) prática letiva; 2) atividades de intervenção na comunidade escolar (3) atividades de integração no meio; e (4) atividades de natureza científico-pedagógica. O EP foi realizado na Escola Básica dos 2º e 3º Ciclos Dr. Eduardo Brazão de Castro no ano letivo 2013/2014. A prática letiva compreendeu a gestão do processo ensino-aprendizagem (E-A) de duas turmas, uma de 8º ano do ensino regular e outra do 11º ano de um curso profissional. Esta atividade incluiu ainda a assistência a aulas ao colega estagiário e ao professor orientador. Toda a componente prática letiva, ao ser fulcral na formação inicial de professores, exigiu da nossa parte um maior investimento. A atividade de intervenção na comunidade escolar, denominada “III Olimpíadas Brazão de Castro”, teve como objetivos a promoção de estilos de vida saudáveis e o desenvolvimento do espírito de equipa (cooperação e da entreajuda), através de diversas atividades físicas dirigidas para toda a comunidade educativa. No âmbito das atividades de integração no meio, as atividades de direção de turma e a ação de extensão curricular, permitiram um maior conhecimento da turma e dos alunos, e consequentemente, ajudaram no planeamento e gestão do processo de E-A, como também, na escolha e execução das atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do EP. Finalmente, as atividades de natureza científico-pedagógica tiveram como propósito o debate e a partilha de ideias. Na ação individual apresentamos um conjunto de aplicações práticas associadas ao modelo de Ensino do Jogo pela Compreensão nos JDC e na ação coletiva debateu-se a problemática da Ginástica Escolar – Da Teoria à Prática, incidindo sobretudo as razões para o seu insucesso e as sugestões de melhoria. Todas as atividades vivenciadas durante o EP e o cumprimento dos objetivos previamente delineados permitiram a aquisição de ferramentas que foram e serão fundamentais para a nossa formação enquanto futuros professores de EF.

Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) is one of the main constituents of the Mediterranean diet. Its consumption has been proposed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and certain types of cancer. It is therefore one of the most popular and extensively consumed vegetable crop worldwide. To gain insights on the potential of Lycopersicon esculentum L. as bioactive food, two analytical methodologies were developed to determine the levels of the lipophilic -tocopherol, α-tocopherol, β-carotene, lycopene; and hydrophilic antioxidants ascorbic acid. The quantification of total carotenoids (β-carotene and lycopene) was assessed through a liquid–liquid ultrasound assisted extraction (LL-USAE) in combination with ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), according to method of mean, for total carotenoids (λmáx = 450 nm. The ultra-high performance liquid chromatographic using both photodiode array and fluorescence detection (UHPLC-PDA/FLR), allows the identification and quantification of the target lipophilic and hydrophilic antioxidants. This methodology UHPLC-PDA/FLR is fast, simple and revealed a high sensitivity for the compounds under study. The limits of detection (LODs) and quantification (LOQs) obtained were much lower (about 10 times) than the reported in literature. The method LL-USAE/UV-Vis was validated and applied to different tomato foodstuffs. The results reveal a small increase of carotenoids content during maturation, reaching the maximum level when ripe. These results complement those obtained by the ORAC and TBARS assays that show an increase of antioxidant capacity during maturation. The LODs ans LOQs obtained were also about 10 times lower than reported in literature. The carotenoid content was also evaluated by LL-USAE/UV-Vis in different tomatoes varieties. Regional variety present the high carotenoid level, followed by campari and gordal, and at last grape. This methodology was also applied to different processed food samples containing tomatoes derivatives. Highest carotenoids content were obtained in concentrated tomato foodstuffs.

Nitrogen (N) is the most required nutrient for corn plants and, in order to supply this demand in highly productive crops, mineral fertilizers are used, especially urea. The disadvantage of urea is the loss of N-NH3 to atmosphere. To reverse this situation, some technologies have been developed, such as nitrification and urease inhibitors, which are used as additives to urea. This work aimed at evaluating the agronomic efficiency of urea stabilized with urease and nitrification inhibitors applied to cover the 2013/2014 corn crop. We evaluated 11 nitrogen fertilizer applied in coverage: urea + PA (41.6% N, 3% Cu); urea + PA (41.6% N, 1.5% Cu); urea + PA (41.6% N, 3% Zn); urea + PA (41.6% N, 1.5% Zn); urea + PA (41.6% N, 0.34% Cu, 0.94% B); urea + PA (41.6% N, 0.25% Cu, 0.68% B); urea + PA (41.6% N); urea (44.3% N, 0.15% Cu, 0.4% B); urea (43% N, 0.1% Cu, 0.3% B, 0.05% Mo); pearled urea (46% N); urea + 0,8% DMPP (45% N) and the control, which did not receive nitrogen topdressing. The evaluations were: Nitrogen losses through volatilization, content and accumulation of N, boron (B), copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) to the dry matter of aerial parts, grains, and in straw and grain productivity. Fertilizers stabilized with urease and nitrification inhibitors did not reduce the volatilization of ammonia volatilization, when compared to pearled urea. Urea with 0.8% of DMPP nitrification inhibitor (3,4-dimethylpyrazole phosphate) provided higher loss by volatilization, lower productivity and agronomic efficiency compared to pearled urea. The coating of urea with Cu, B and Zn did not increase the accumulation of these nutrients in grains and MSPA plants. The use of fertilizers stabilized and coated with micronutrients did not increase the productivity and agronomic efficiency compared to conventional urea.
