A Entomologia Forense é a ciência que aplica o estudo dos insetos, dentre outros artrópodes, a procedimentos legais, estando subdividida em três sub-áreas principais: Entomologia Urbana, Entomologia de Produtos Estocados e Entomologia Médico-Legal ou Médico-Criminal. A fauna entomológica cadavérica no Brasil apresenta uma ampla diversidade de espécies que se sucedem na carcaça, pois o processo de decomposição oferece condições ideais principalmente ao desenvolvimento dos dípteros, dentre outros insetos. A sucessão ecológica em carcaças ocorre em ondas de colonização, também denominada de sucessão ecológica de colonização de carcaças. A primeira onda, que é a mais importante para o presente estudo, inclui principalmente as moscas-varejeiras; dentre elas, merece destaque a espécie Chrysomya megacephala (Fabricius), um díptero da família Calliphoridae, que utiliza a carcaça para oviposição ou para alimentação dos adultos. Dos ovos eclodem as larvas, que se alimentam dos tecidos em decomposição, se desenvolvem e empupam no solo, nos arredores do cadáver, sendo assim possível estimar, a partir de evidências entomológicas, o tempo decorrido desde a morte até a descoberta de cadáveres humanos, ou seja, o intervalo pós-morte ou IPM, além de permitir obter informações do local onde possivelmente o crime tenha ocorrido, causa da morte, entre outros aspectos. Alguns trabalhos têm demonstrado que vários fatores podem afetar a determinação do IPM, tornando a investigação criminal mais difícil e, quando não forem levados em consideração, conduzem a erros no cálculo do IPM. Dispersão larval pós-alimentar, competição, predação, parasitismo, condições ambientais, e a presença de toxinas/drogas no corpo devem ser analisados em conjunto, de modo que erros na estimativa do IPM sejam minimizados tanto quanto possível. Medo e a ansiedade são emoções que têm origem nas reações de defesa que os animais exibem diante de ameaças que podem comprometer sua integridade física ou a própria sobrevivência, tais como confrontos com o predador ou com animais da mesma espécie. Em se tratando da espécie humana, estas respostas defensivas eliciadas representariam a ocorrência de transtornos de ansiedade e, a busca por sua compreensão, resultou no desenvolvimento de modelos animais de ansiedade, dentre os quais se destaca o labirinto em cruz elevado (LCE) que é baseado na aversão natural de roedores a espaços abertos. Com relação aos substratos neurais envolvidos nestas manifestações, cabe destacar a matéria cinzenta periaquedutal bem como estruturas prosencefálicas, como o córtex pré-frontal (CPFm), uma estrutura límbica que tem sido frequentemente descrita como relevante na neurobiologia da ansiedade. O óxido nítrico (NO) tem sido investigado em diferentes estruturas cerebrais de roedores nas quais foram evidenciadas respostas pró-aversivas. Sendo o CPFm uma estrutura que contém neurônios nitrérgicos, este estudo teve o objetivo de investigar o efeito da facilitação nitrérgica através da injeção intra-CPFm de um doador de NO, o NOC-9 [6-(Hidroxi-1-metil-2-nitrosohidrazino)-N-metil-1-hexanamina], sobre o comportamento de camundongos expostos ao labirinto em cruz elevado (LCE). Métodos e Resultados: Camundongos Suíços machos (25-35g, n = 53) receberam implante de cânula guia no CPFm. The present study, theoretical, aims to talk about educational policies in Brazil, aiming to unveil what they say these policies, the legitimacy and visibility that give coverage of sexuality in schools. Both sexuality and gender relations have gained attention in a Brazilian educational research in the mid-90th century. These policies have been the National Curricular Parameters (PCN). They present the cross-cutting themes: ethics, health, environment, cultural diversity and sexual orientation, which should be integrated into conventional areas of the school said. Another document of this same decade of education is the National Education Plan (PNE), however this encompasses so hidden sexuality and gender relations. In fact, both the new Law of Directives and Bases (LDB), the PNE in these subjects are veiled. An interesting initiative is happening in Brazil is the project Gender and Sexual Diversity (GDE) for the training of professionals in education issues of gender, sexuality and sexual orientation and ethnic-racial relations, is entering the national perspective of implementation public policy of equality and respect for diversity. However, much remains to be done thinking about the effectiveness of public policies that are effective with respect to space and visibility for the treatment of sexuality. We must also articulate the integration of these themes in these policies, strategies to raise awareness of education professionals in order to secure that they are actually implemented.

Over the last years, the new technologies have changed the way we relate to information and communicate with other people, which has brought on impact to foreign language teaching and learning, and, consequently, to the area of foreign language teacher education. The abbreviation CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) has been used to designate the processes of language teaching and learning with the use of computers, and language teacher education in CALL to name teacher education for and with the use of new technologies, since a number of authors point to the interdependence of both processes. We intend in this article to present an overview of the literature of the area of language teacher education in CALL nowadays and discuss issues related to the use of new technologies concerning its integration to teacher education and the functional and institutional roles to be taken. We also present two proposals of teacher education with the use of new technologies which are being implemented and at the same time studied in Brazil, which we believe have essential elements for the development of language teachers for and with the use of new technologies currently.

Objectives: The human antimicrobial peptide cathelicidin (LL-37) possesses anti-inflammatory properties that may contribute to attenuating the inflammatory process associated with chronic periodontitis. Plant polyphenols, including those from cranberry and green tea, have been reported to reduce inflammatory cytokine secretion by host cells. In the present study, we hypothesized that A-type cranberry proanthocyanidins (AC-PACs) and green tea epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) act in synergy with LL-37 to reduce the secretion of inflammatory mediators by oral mucosal cells. Methods: A three-dimensional (3D) co-culture model of gingival epithelial cells and fibroblasts treated with non-cytotoxic concentrations of AC-PACs (25 and 50 mg/ml), EGCG (1 and 5 mg/ml), and LL-37 (0.1 and 0.2 mM) individually and in combination (AC-PACs + LL-37 and EGCG + LL-37) were stimulated with Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Multiplex ELISA assays were used to quantify the secretion of 54 host factors, including chemokines, cytokines, growth factors, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs). Results: LL-37, AC-PACs, and EGCG, individually or in combination, had no effect on the regulation of MMP and TIMP secretion but inhibited the secretion of several cytokines. ACPACs and LL-37 acted in synergy to reduce the secretion of CXC-chemokine ligand 1 (GRO-a), granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), and interleukin-6 (IL-6), and had an additive effect on reducing the secretion of interleukin-8 (IL-8), interferon-g inducible protein 10 (IP-10), and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in response to LPS stimulation. EGCG and LL-37 acted in synergy to reduce the secretion of GRO-a, G-CSF, IL-6, IL-8, and IP-10, and had an additive effect on MCP-1 secretion. Conclusion: The combination of LL-37 and natural polyphenols from cranberry and green tea acted in synergy to reduce the secretion of several cytokines by an LPS-stimulated 3D coculture model of oral mucosal cells. Such combinations show promising results as potential adjunctive therapies for treating inflammatory periodontitis.

Using a questionnaire for quantitative and qualitative analysis, this descriptive study investigated the opinion of 451 teachers about sexuality and sexual education of students with intellectual disabilities. The majority (94.2%) perceives the sexuality of their students with intellectual disabilities, identifies their desire to date (38.3%), occurrence of questions (35.8%), sexual games and masturbation (19.6%) and the inappropriate behavior (6.3%); before that, they have positive feelings (37.5%) and negative (53.8%). Teachers believe they can contribute to the sexual education of their students (87.8%), however, they considered necessary the own training (39.9%) or the support of the school and the family (24.4%). It is important to invest in continuous training in sexual education for teachers working in inclusive schools.

Nous comprenons que la littérature, quelle que soit l'adjectif qui accompagne - enfant, adolescent ou adulte - est l'art. L'art de la parole qui crée des mondes possibles, pas réel, à travers un langage très élaboré et complexe qui permet la compréhension de toute la l'expérience humaine. D'autre part, la réalité de l'éducation brésilienne nous montre que nos étudiants ont de la difficulté à comprendre des textes écrits, ce que compromettre l'apprentissage de toutes les matières du programme. Dans ce sens, cette étude a eu l'óbjective à à souligner les possibilités que nous avons d'incorporer la literature brésilienne pour les enfants e les jeunes - appropriée aux étudiants de l'enseignement de base, les enfants et les jeunes - comme um élément transdisciplinaire, associant toutes les disciplines du programme scolaire de l'école élémentaire, notre découpure. Ainsi, nous le signalons dans Cacoete, d' Eva Furnari (2005), des éléments de toutes les matières du programme d'études de cette étape scolaire Brésilienne, afin de montrer aux les enseignants de tous les domaines qui le travail avec la littérature conduit nécessairement à la compréhension de toutes la connaissance. Notre étude a été réalisée sous une approche qualitative de caractère bibliographique. Pour l'embasement théorique nous utilisons de auteurs qui recherche le concept et les spécificités du texte littéraire, selon Rolland Barthes (2007) et Tzvetan Todorov (2009) aussi que des auteurs qui l'étudient spécifiquement de la littérature pour les enfants, selon Nelly Novaes Coelho (2006) et Fanny Abramovich (1983; 1999). Ils ont été également consultées des auteurs qui recherche sur la lecture, la littérature et l'école, selon John Wanderley Geraldi (2006), Marisa Lajolo (1997), Ana Maria Machado (2011), Iara Conceição Bitencourt Neves et al (2003), Roxane Rojo (2002), Ezequiel Theodoro da Silva (1988)...

El cuerpo presenta rastros de la historia y cultura de las sociedades por toda la historia de la humanidad. El presente estudio quiere, através de pesquisas sobre el cuerpo, entender como las modificaiones corporales han acompañado la historia del hombre, de las tribus antiguas hasta la atualidad y como son hoy los procedimientos de cambiar la forma física. Através de trabajo de campo conocer profisionales que hacen algunos tipos de modificaciones corporales y gente que las tienen en sus cuerpos, entender las razones para que cambien sus cuerpos permanentemente - en la mayoria de los casos - y como la idea de individualidad surge cuando se hace una marca personal en el cuerpo. Además, compreender el porque esas prácticas se están convirtiendo cada vez mas común en nuestra sociedade actual

Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender a mídia e o universo didáticopedagógico, e assim como o uso dos meios midiáticos podem contribuir frente a aprendizagem . A pesquisa mostra esse novo aluno, como também esse novo professor, e quais os desafios que ambos passam por usarem os meios de comunicação, em especialmente a tecnologia. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa documental, e diversos autores dialogaram entre si diante do tema apresentado. O estudo pautou-se pela abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada a partir de alguns autores. A pesquisa mostrou que com o avanço tecnológico os jovens se interessaram mais com os estudos, já que a informação ficou cada vez mais rápida, contudo mostrou também que alguns professores têm certo tipo de receio de usar outros materiais didáticos além do tradicional. O estudo também mostrou que apesar dos benefícios que a mídia traz, o importante é estarmos atentos já que tem-se um excesso de informações, e precisamos selecionar uma informação boa de uma ruim

In order to reduce the sedentarism and to improve population's health condition, many physical activity incentive programs have been stimulated. As a result, many people have adhered to street racing, but their health condition is almost always ignored. The aim of this study was to evaluate street racers' health condition, identifying the presence of cardiovascular risk factors as well as problems associated to street racing. The study case was composed by 111 racers from the town of Bauru (94 men and 17 women) aged in average 39±13 years old, who were evaluated in 4 street race competitions. The subjects answered to an anamnesis with questions about their socioeconomic status, medicine use, cardiovascular risk, physical exercise practices, and issues related to racing and injury. Weight (kg) and height (m) were measured to calculate the body mass index (BMI, kg/m²) as well as systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), abdominal circumference (AC), and flexibility. It could be observed that the majority of racers were Caucasian, married and belonged to social classes over C. The prevalent age was between 18 and 35 years old (42%). Among the participants, 38.7% have already undergone some kind of surgery and 13% declared having some health problem. The questionnaire pointed out that 36% had low and moderate cardiovascular risk. It could be noticed from the AC that 10% of men and 18% of women had high cardiac risk. Among the tested, 43.2% (24.3% altered and 18.9% borderline) showed high BP on the day of the test, but only 2.7% had self-declared hypertensive. In relation to injury, 36% had already had lesions of some kind, 27.5% of which had occurred in the last 8 months. 66.6% had derived from training or racing competitions and the knee was the mostly affected body part. Currently individuals are affected by a routine busy and they don't have time for physical activity, highlighting the sedentary lifestyle, a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. For this reason, it focuses too much on cardiovascular diseases and the importance of physical practice. With the largest divulgation and variety of physical activities, activities that were not as practiced became popular, as is the case of resistive exercise. Much is said of the influence of resistance exercise in physical strength, in muscle development and in the quest for a more defined body. However, studies have shown beneficial contributions of resistance exercise on the cardiovascular system. During the physical effort, some changes occur in the body in order to meet the increased demand for oxygen. Among them is the increase in heart rate (HR), which varies with the intensity of effort. Thus, this research sought to contribute with an analysis of the HR behavior before, during and after 3 sets of hypertrophy, as far for the flexor group of the elbow as to the extensor group. It was observed that, although the HR has increased in the course of the series, the variations of HR were not significant between the flexor group and extensor group of the elbow joint. Also were not significant the differences between the variations of the HR from the 1ª to the 2ª series between the flexor group and extensor group, as well as to the variations from the 2ª to the 3ª series

Swimming is a sport well suited to any age group, it worked properly when the individual stimuli that provides assist in human development. But water stimulation, is not something that is so easily in physical education in Brazil. Development corresponds to changes that occur throughout life, but that depends on the stimuli provided. Several studies have shown positive effects of swimming in relation to the child. This study aimed to verify if children swimmers and physical education classes have better motor development than those who do not practice the sport. Collection was done with two groups of 10 students between 9 and 11 years. As a group consisting of non-swimmers, and another formed by those that complement the physical education class with the regular practice of swimming. To develop the study was administered a battery of the proposed motor adapted Rosa Neto (2002) in which each child performed tasks corresponding to their chronological age (CA) and were only able to perform the task at a later age, when it was obtained successful in completing the task as originally proposed. At the end of the application of all statistical tests was done getting mean and standard deviation of the old motor (IM), calculated the ratio General Motor (MGQ) for the classification of the child's motor development and application of the t test with p <0.05 to observe the level of significance in the results. The results showed that the group swimmers had better agility tests which resulted in a difference between (IC) and (IM) higher compared with the non-practitioner. They also had higher average (MGQ), but these were not sufficient to classify the group into another level of development, however, by observing isolated cases, two children that practice would be a greater level of development.
