At present, the processes of medicalization of childhood have reached the school spaces where diagnostic labeling accompanied of prescription of psychotropic drugs proliferate. The present work aims to study through the Foucauldian genealogical approach, the process of medicalization of education, with a special attention to analysis of Brazilian bills which serve to the medicalization logics and to the study of resistance movements which emerged with the purpose of denouncing psychopathology-causing strategies. It is considered that the school spaces, subject to the disciplining processes and standardization of bodies, have gained through bills, new devices of support to the psychiatric discourses. These, by appropriating of the childhood considered problem, have spawned diagnoses and psychopharmacological drugs, process that has been faced by resistance movements identified with proposals for enhancement of the plurality of life.

Introducing the theoretical trajectory of social representations theory, outline here the parallel between this theory in social psychology and the Bakhtinian concept of ideology. Both approaches include individual and society as inseparable and views the array of social construction of knowledge forms, related to day-to-day, or composed by formal record of science, as state, religion etc. With this interdisciplinary study, although limited, we hope to contribute to a better understanding of theories that have made important contributions to social psychology, linguistics, ethnography, cultural studies etc.

It is a fact that between the child and the adult there is an adolescent being that experiments his experiences in a different way than those others. Therefore, in clinical care, the use of toys and play do not have the same value as for the children, and, on the other hand, the majority of adolescents are not ready, as the adult is, for the exclusive use of speech in the psychotherapy context. There is the need to introduce some specific strategy in order to give the adolescent conditions to express himself openly in the psychotherapy process. The mediator's resource introduces this variable to enable the expression of emotions for those who cannot find the available channels for that. This paper seeks to answer this question by presenting the Time Tunnel Game in the psychotherapy with young people, based, during several years, on its clinical use with patients during this period of their lives. Explaining, when it is a question of a demand for a game, that the youngster tries to respect the rules, therefore, expressing his experiences more at ease. By using the mentioned game, it is not the psychotherapist that questions or addresses the youngster, but it is through this playing that the questions arise, providing the youngster a facilitating context for his experiences, even for the more difficult ones. At the direct request of the psychotherapist, it is possible that the adolescent may have the imposing idea that he is being evaluated, which is inadequate when attending any youngster. It is understood that this facilitation also occurs because in a game the atmosphere of lucidity is less threatening to the patient to reveal himself as playing. It is the game that "interviews" and, therefore, the youngster has less to be afraid of when expressing his experiences.

Literature has always had a tense relationship with school. On the one hand, its educational function which is a feature of its own has motivated its insertion into curricula; on the other hand, its pedagogical use seems to defile its esthetical value. Such a paradox may be clearly observed in juvenile literature whose specificity has not always been acknowledged. To discuss the alleged specificity of that literary subgenre and its use in school, this essay compares the books A órbita dos caracóis (2003), by Reinaldo Moraes, and Se eu fechar os olhos agora (2009), by Edney Silverstre, which have in common their possible destination to the juvenile public, even though neither of them has been conceived of with that purpose in mind.

The goal of study was to evaluate the side effects promoted by sibutramine, associated or not to nicotine, in the reproductive tissue of adult female rats. Wistar animals (n =30), were distributed in the groups: a) Control A (0.3 mL of distilled water; oral); b) Sibutramine (15 mg/kg of body weight; oral); c) Control B (0.3 mL of saline solution; intraperitoneal); d) Nicotine (4.0 mg/kg of body weight; intraperitoneal); e) sibutramine + nicotine. The treatments were conducted during 30 consecutive days (single dose, daily). Sibutramine, associated or not to nicotine, affected the folliculogenesis and luteogenesis. There were significant alterations (p<0.05) in the thickness of uterine layers, considerate each treatment. In conclusion, the administration isolated of sibutramine or nicotine promoted deleterious effects in the reproductive tissues of female rats and these effects were potential in the group that received both drugs.

It starts from the references of the Theory of the Organizing Models of Thinking and of critical perspectives on the studies of gender as contributors of conceptual and methodological aspects in the analysis of the psychic functioning. Information was raised with 400 youngsters (15 to 21 years of age) from public and private schools, who answered in writing four questions about feelings, thoughts, and the duty of the characters (boys or girls) before a situation of homophobia at school. The perspective of the gender in the conflict resolution was analyzed taking into account the sex of the characters and the sex of the participants. The results show that the gender representations have an essential role in the manner in which the youngsters resolve interpersonal conflicts, highlighting the reproduction of stereotypes in the social relations among genders at school.

The expansion of psychiatric labeling does not reach only the adult population, but also the problematic related to childhood have been captured by the speeches and practices of the medical-psychiatric knowledge and turned into psychopathologies which tend to be treated with the main resource made available by psychiatrics in the present times: the psychotropic drugs. This work presents a critical thinking on the expansion of the diagnoses of “attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity” (ADHD) both in children and teenagers and on the conduction of drug therapies. It follows that the processes of childhood psycho-pathologization and the trivializing of psychotropic drug prescription are related to the overvaluation of the biological conception of psychic suffering and to the economic interests of the great pharmaceutical laboratories which by means of several strategies influence the medical practices, factors that lead to exposure of these patients to possible side effects and the risks of stigmatization that must be considered.
