Indicadores de Sostenibilidad

El objetivo de este trabajo se centra en el estudio de los indicadores para evaluar las políticas en el marco del Desarrollo Humano Sostenible. Para ello, comenzamos introduciendo el marco conceptual en el que se ubica el concepto de Desarrollo Humano Sostenible y exponiendo las razones de nuestro estudio. Posteriormente, revisamos la literatura en torno a los indicadores de sostenibilidad, con el fin de establecer el marco teórico en el que encuadrar la construcción de éstas. A continuación, analizamos las principales experiencias internacionales de trabajo y realizamos un análisis de algunas experiencias españolas concretas, tratando de sintetizar los aspectos clave que se observan en este tipo de herramientas. Por último, finalizamos con un epígrafe destinado a exponer las conclusiones obtenidas de este análisis, donde discutimos las oportunidades y aspectos de mejora que deben tenerse en consideración a la hora de definir unos buenos indicadores de sostenibilidad.

Diode-pumped Q-switched Tm:YAP laser with a pump recycling scheme

We reported on a diode end-pumped AO Q-switched Tm:YAP laser at 1937 nm. The average output power was 3.9 W, with a slope efficiency of 29.4% and optical-optical conversion efficiency of 21.6% at a 5-kHz repetition rate. The temperature dependency of the output power and the pulse width at different repetition rates were investigated in details.

The report looks at trends developing in the area of the Lancashire River Authority which will, by the turn of the century, bring tremendous pressures to bear on its natural resources, particularly land and water. It looks at difficulties maintaining an environment suitable for all, human or otherwise, including construction of energy plants and increasing population. It explores the scheme of harnessing water on Morecambe Bay, including fishery advantages and disadvantages. The report looks at fish deaths and diseases in Morecambe Bay and the Lancashire area, providing statistics.

Optimization study of the structural HACFRA composition (Self Compacting Concrete Steel Fiber Reinforced)

The interest of HACFRA (self compacting concrete reinforced with steel fibers), is the combination of the residual strength increase and cracking decrease compared to plain concrete by the introduction of steel fibers in the mass with the advantages of the self-compacting. The paper presents an analysis of the influence of different components of the HACRFA and provides their selection, refered to the granular skeleton and to different steel fiber types and amount, in order to obtain an optimization of its features and structural behavior.
