Práticas alternativas e complementares no tratamento do câncer: revisão integrativa da literatura

O interesse no tema pela praticas alternativa e complementar na saúde vem aumentado, principalmente entre pacientes oncológicos, que buscam uma melhor qualidade de vida e algumas alternativas para amenizar os efeitos colaterais do tratamento convencional. Fazer uma revisão integrativa da produção científica em periódicos nacionais e internacionais, acerca das praticas integrativas e complementares no tratamento do paciente com câncer. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, indexada nas bases de dados MEDLINE e LILACS, no período de 2000 a 2010. Após exclusão daqueles que se repetiam entre as bases de dados e dos que não se encaixam nos critérios de inclusão, resultaram 19 artigos. A coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de janeiro a março de 2011 por meio de um instrumento elaborado pela pesquisadora. Utilizou-se do aplicativo Microsoft Excel 2007 para organizar o banco referente aos dados quantitativos. Os dados quantitativos, referentes às variáveis da caracterização da produção científica, foram apresentados em tabelas e submetidos à análise estatística descritiva. A análise de conteúdo, na abordagem representacional e do tipo temática (Bardin, 1977) foi utilizada como estratégia metodológica qualitativa para organizar, sistematicamente, a produção do conhecimento. A caracterização do corpus de análise aponta uma produção majoritária de publicações internacionais (94,74%). A maior parte das publicações é oriunda dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA), correspondendo a 36,86% da amostra. O método qualitativo foi predominante (84,21%). Diagnóstico ambiental de atividades de mineração com ênfase em olarias no município de Rio Claro (SP)

The environmental diagnosis of any area affected for mining activities contributes in a positive form for the analysis of the characteristics of the environment, biological and social, thus being able to establish control parameters. The clay extration for red ceramics promotes the environment degradation as any another one cultivates of mineral goods, but in lesser scale, which had to the dimensions of potteries. Being thus, some decurrent environment characteristics of the clay extration had been inquired clearly used for potteries located in the city of Rio Claro, SP. For this, the followed method was the cadastre of these areas and potteries in created tables, searching, with this, the contribution for the involved people in the extract activity of related potteries and the facilitation in the visualization of the main problems, necessities and proposals for each one. It could be perceived that the environmental diagnosis of the areas had in common presented referring points to the places where if they find the activities. The same ones are located in the region the northwest of Rio Claro and well next one to the others. Moreover, they have in common, referring characteristics to the process of manufacture of bricks. In common, all the responsibility for the administration and course of the activities competes to the proper families, since the administrative part, even though to the process of manufacture of the bricks. Moreover, from the comment of the areas through field work, the prominent use of diverse areas in the region for the clay extration is noticed, making with that the region has great importance in the regional scene.

Pediculose na escola - uma oportunidade para aprender e ensinar

O piolho de cabeça atualmente é um problema mundial e não está relacionado à pobreza, falta de higiene, desleixo. Sua prevalência é alta na idade escolar de três a doze anos de idade. Quando uma criança o adquire tem um sentimento de vergonha, deixa de ir à escola e raramente é encaminhada para cuidados médicos. Geralmente para o controle, as famílias utilizam substâncias tóxicas, inseticidas domiciliares, produtos inflamáveis e ervas na cabeça das crianças. E ainda, acreditam que o piolho pode ser transmissor de doenças. Há uma falta de informação e neste caso, a educação se faz necessária. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar um instrumento de avaliação de professores das séries iniciais do ensino fundamental I, da rede pública de ensino, da cidade de Botucatu – SP, relacionado à pediculose. Esta análise ocorreu através de um questionário constituído de 10 perguntas abertas e 14 fechadas (concordo e discordo) com abordagem educacional (ensino sobre piolho - conhecimento, atitude e prática) e com uma abordagem didática sobre biologia, diagnóstico, prevenção, tratamento, transmissão sobre o piolho de cabeça. Este trabalho foi realizado em 9 escolas da rede pública do ensino fundamental I com 108 professores.Todos os dados foram tabulados no programa Microsoft Excel 2000 versões 7.0 e as análises foram realizadas com base na estatística descritiva, não – paramétrica, segundo o método estatístico que consiste em técnica de análise de variância não paramétrica para o modelo com um fator – Teste de Kruskal-Wallis e por tabelas de freqüência. A análise estatística dos dados obtidos dos questionários mostrou como resultados mais pertinentes a posição de 100% dos professores que nunca deixam de falar sobre piolho em sala de aula, nunca proíbem o aluno... Métodos de Calibração e Dosimetria de Aplicadores de Betaterapia

The sources of betatherapy for clinical use in Brazil are, the vast majority of strontium-90, radioactive element that is not produced in the country, and therefore requires importation of international laboratories accredited by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).The use of these resources is always limited the crediting of characteristic values supplied by the manufacturer tables that provide the nominal value of activity and dose distribution to determine the irradiation time of the injury. The Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (IPEN / CNEN-SP) has recently researching the emission profile of these types of radiation sources, and some jobs are being developed with ionization chambers extrapolation for the purpose of standardizing a systematic calibration sources betatherapy. Other studies using parallel measures dosimeters (TLD's) and simulations with the Monte Carlo method. Radiological films have also been used in studies of applicators dosimetric analysis of strontium-90. This paper discusses aspects of Budapest, by Chico Buarque, published in 2003. In the novel, a contingency takes the protagonist, a Brazilian, to Hungary. Both, language and woman, turns into mirrors that refract and put his subjective experience, as babelic as the Hungarian, up side down. Considering contingency as a category from the Real (Lacan) and translation as mechanism of subjective search of a blot origin (Derrida), at the same time transcreation (Haroldo de Campos), we will pinpoint some ways to the novel reading.

Estudo acústico das vogais do português brasileiro

In the area of Phonetics, current studies are mainly geared toward acoustic analysis of the speech. The technology of personal computers and available software made these analyses easier to be carried out. The following work used the software called PRAAT. Besides showing how it helps the researcher, the aim of this work is to bring new data for future consultation in this field, allowing comparisons and discussions about this subject. At FONAC, a place where a Project of Departmental Traineeship is run, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Luiz Carlos Cagliari and aimed at training on Acoustic Phonetics for undergraduates and graduates, there is a good quality recording, in which a speaker of the paulista dialect reads an excerpt of Michael Ende and Annegert Fuchshuber’s book named ‘The Dream-eater’ twice. The data obtained through it were analyzed directly or by statistic procedures. Tables and charts, created from these data, helped to visualize the similarities and differences between the vowels allowing an easier comprehension of the articulatory phenomenon. With the formants, specifically, prototypical values for the vowels of Portuguese and the dialect in study were obtained

Economia criativa no Estado de São Paulo: sua importância no desenvolvimento econômico

The present study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the Creative Economy and Traditional Economy, highlighting the importance of each one on the economic development of the state of São Paulo. To achieve this goal, we analyzed the performance of the key sectors that comprise these economies, between the years 2002 and 2012, using data collected in the Annual Report (RAIS) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE ). The information obtained is related to the share of each sector in formal employment, average and generated in each sector worker remuneration, qualification worked as the level of education acquired, the distribution of workers according to gender in each economic sector among others. The use of these factors are of great importance because trends characterize the current situation of the labor market. Analysis of the share of each sector of the creative economy and also the Traditional Economy in the economic development of the state of São Paulo is constructed through graphs and tables and the results show a difference in the training of workers in both economies, as well as a difference in their incomes

Chaveamento de cargas intermitentes usando sensor de corrente

Due to concerns about rational use of energy, several alternative technologies of power generation appeared, including the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy by photovoltaic panels. In low-income households, the refrigerator represents considerable impact on the electric bill, since it requires constant power given its use in food preservation. It is possible to reduce this share, with the use of an alternative energy source. This work presents a timed switching electronic system, which allows commercial equipment that is not affected by short interruptions in the power supply to use a photovoltaic panel as a source of alternative energy, which usually do not provide energy continuously. Switching is made automatically in case of low incidence of sunlight, and without any form of energy storage. Between each switching, there is a dead time without power supply, therefore preventing the use of synchronizers circuits between the photovoltaic panel and the public power grid. A circuit containing a 80C31 microcontroller is used to control the system’s switching. The photovoltaic panel’s voltage inverter is in H bridge configuration, and is also controlled by the microcontroller through Pulse Width Modulation, which makes use of preprogrammed tables to generate the control signals of the power transistors. Through the use of software simulations, the proposed system was tested, which is capable of supplying intermittent single-phase loads. The simulations indicates that the project developed in this paper can be assembled into a prototype and be tested under real operating conditions, as long as the scaling of components, the characteristics of the photovoltaic panel to be used, and the project involved load are taken into account

The present study is in reference to precast concrete (panels) walls as the main structural system. The diversification of the structural systems is a reality due to specific characteristics', as a result there is a lack of study and analysis. Some systems are already established in their applications, for instance: conventional reinforced concrete, structural masonry, metal structures, and wood structure. Apart from this precast concrete elements has had a growth in building sites in Brazil, therefore professionals should be more aware. Affordable house funding initiatives to address the housing shortage has been recurrent throughout the country, additionally precast concrete walls has been an alternative that meets the three basic concepts of engineering, which are: the technique, economy, and security. The objective of this study is to gather concepts from the literature and TOMO (2012) about precast concrete walls and make a didactic synthesis of how they are viewed. The modeling structure method of the system was performed following the concept of assigning bars, using the computer program of calculations SAP2000. Initially will be presented a theoretical part, furthermore a case study to illustrate the sizing of the walls using EXCEL tables programmed with calculation routine. The results will be presented in calculated efforts by the program for further analysis. Finally, will be highlighted important items of modeling and interpretation of the results
