O câncer de colo do útero e o câncer de mama são de um grande impacto na saúde da mulher no Brasil, ocupando o quarto e segundo lugares em relação aos cânceres que atingem a mulher no país. Neste contexto, a UBS Parque das Dunas, Natal, RN, implementou uma intervenção para a melhoria da prevenção dos dois tipos de canceres. Esta intervenção foi realizada em 14 semanas, desde novembro 2014 a março 2015. Antes da intervenção, a cobertura da ação programática era desconhecida, pois não havia registro na UBS que permitisse conhecer os indicadores da ação programática. Com objetivo de melhorar os indicadores da ação programática, estabelecemos como meta atingir 50% de cobertura em Câncer de Colo Uterino e 50% de cobertura na prevenção de Câncer de Mama, bem como alcançar 100% nos indicadores de qualidade, indicadores estes que foram avaliados com as mulheres cadastradas durante a intervenção. Para tanto, realizamos o cadastramento das mulheres entre 25 e 64 anos para detecção precoce de Câncer de Colo Uterino e entre 50 e 69 anos para Câncer de Mama, com a de ficha espelho de acompanhamento e a planilha de coleta de dados, bem como o desenvolvimento de ações nos quatros eixos da intervenção. A intervenção permitiu realizadas atividades como: capacitação dos ACS e enfermeiros, realização de cadastro das mulheres, visitas domiciliares, atendimento clínico, acolhimento, reuniões com as mulheres, realização de atividades de educativas sobre os fatores de riscos e DSTs, tendo a participação da comunidade e de toda a equipe. Ao final das 14 semanas da intervenção, não atingimos as metas de cobertura propostas, mas alcançamos 35% de cobertura para a prevenção do câncer de colo do útero e 28% de cobertura para a prevenção do câncer de mama. Mas, na questão qualitativa, obtivemos excelentes resultados: adesão das mulheres nas ações da intervenção, melhoria no registro das informações, mapeamento das de risco e promoção da saúde. A intervenção foi muito importante para a comunidade, pelos resultados e implantação na rotina desta na unidade de saúde e pela aprendizagem da equipe

A prevenção e controle das doenças e agravos não transmissíveis (DANT) têm sido um dos principais desafios para o trabalho da Atenção Primária em Saúde (APS), sendo a hipertensão arterial (HAS) e a diabetes mellitus (DM) as patologias mais importantes pela prevalência e morbimortalidade, a manifestação destas doenças está associada com vários fatores de risco, entre eles: elevado níveis de colesterol, sobrepeso e obesidade, tabagismo e sedentarismo. Recentemente, vem sendo enfatizado o risco decorrente da dieta inapropriada (baixo consumo de frutas e vegetais, alto consumo de gorduras saturadas) e da falta de atividade física. As intervenções para reduzir a morbimortalidade por DANT baseiam-se no controle da HAS, DM, dislipidemias, tabagismo, obesidade e sedentarismo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de melhorar a atenção à saúde aos hipertensos e/ou diabéticos atendidos na UBS João XXIII do município de Caicó/RN, a população alvo foram os usuários hipertensos e/ou diabéticos moradores na área de abrangência da UBS, que foram cadastrados no programa. Para alcançar o objetivo implantamos a utilização dos protocolos do Ministério da Saúde para atenção destes usuários, e foram realizadas ações visando a qualificação da prática clínica, o engajamento público, melhoria na gestão dos serviços, e monitoramento e avaliação. Nossa UBS atende uma população de 3116 habitantes, e a estimativa de pessoas com 20 anos ou mais é de 2121, o que corresponde a 67% da população total, estima-se 391 hipertensos e 114 diabéticos. Como resultado da intervenção se pode observar que conseguimos chegar a uma cobertura de 80% de usuários cadastrados com HAS e DM, se recuperou 100% de usuários faltosos à consulta através da busca ativa realizada pelos ACS. Alcançamos 100% das metas traçadas, com exceção de dois indicadores, que ficaram um pouco abaixo, proporção de cadastrados com exames complementares em dia de acordo com o protocolo, que ficou em 90% para hipertensos, e 97,8% para os pacientes diabéticos, em razão da demora no recebimento dos resultados destes exames, e proporção de pacientes com prescrição de medicamentos da farmácia popular que ficou em 74% para os pacientes hipertensos e 75.8% para os diabéticos, pois o município atravessa uma situação crítica com o abastecimento de medicamentos especificamente para estas doenças, além disso alguns pacientes tratados por especialistas adquirem os medicamentos com recursos próprios. A intervenção na UBS propiciou a melhoria dos registros, a qualificação da atenção a estes usuários, a equipe encontra-se mais preparada e a comunidade mais informada sobre as formas de cuidado para prevenção e controle destas doenças, os usuários demonstram satisfação com a intervenção e estamos trabalhando para atingir 100% de cobertura em todas as ações. O trabalho de conclusão de Especialização em Saúde da Família objetivou apresentar a intervenção realizada no serviço de saúde para melhorar a atenção a saúde da pessoa idosa da área de abrangência da Unidade Básica de Saúde Nova Natal, localizada em Natal/RN. Para aumentar a cobertura bem como qualificar as ações realizadas pela equipe para os idosos, realizou-se uma intervenção que tive duração de 12 semanas. Os instrumentos utilizados na intervenção foram o Manual do Ministério da Saúde, a ficha espelho e planilha de coleta de dados. Realizamos ações em quatro eixos, monitoramento e avaliação;organização da gestão do serviço; engajamento publico e qualificação da pratica clinica. A estimativa de idosos em toda a área era de 2100. Nem todos eram acompanhados adequadamente pelo Programa da Unidade de Saúde; os registros eram inexistentes e/ou inadequados dificultando o monitoramento das ações e não havia engajamento publico. Após da intervenção cadastramos 390 idosos(18,6% de cobertura). Realizamos avaliação multidimensional, exame clinico, rastreamento para Hipertensão e Diabetes, registro e orientações( alimentação saudável, pratica de atividade física regular e higiene bucal) para todos os usuários participantes da intervenção. Pelo trabalho desenvolvido, conseguimos qualificar o serviço mediante a atenção e assistência baseada em protocolo oficial, a equipe ficou mais fortalecida e unida, bem como os usuários estão mais satisfeitos com o trabalho realizado.

Pajaro Munoz, Jorge Elias. Melhoria da Atenção aos Usuários com Hipertensão e/ou Diabetes da ESF Santa Catarina, Natal / RN. 66f. 2016. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Curso de Especialização em Saúde da Família) - Departamento de Medicina Social, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade Federal de Pelotas, Pelotas, 2016. As doenças crônicas não transmissíveis são um problema de saúde global e uma ameaça à saúde e ao desenvolvimento humano. No Brasil, 72% das mortes são atribuídas ao grupo de doenças, dentre elas, destacamos a Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica e o Diabetes mellitus. No município de Natal, na Unidade de Saúde Santa Catarina, foi realizada uma intervenção com objetivo de melhorar a atenção e assistência direcionadas aos usuários com Hipertensão e/ou Diabetes. A intervenção ofertou ações nos quatro eixos pedagógicos do curso: organização e gestão do serviço; qualificação da prática clínica; monitoramento e avaliação e por fim, engajamento público. Na área de abrangência, são estimados 974 usuários com Hipertensão e 240 com Diabetes. A intervenção durou 12 semanas e os instrumentos usados para avaliar os indicadores de qualidade e de coberturas foram a ficha espelho e a planilha de coleta de dados. Para ofertar maior cuidado aos usuários, consultamos os Protocolos oficiais disponibilizados pelo Ministério da Saúde. Antes da intervenção, não havia acompanhamento adequado dos usuários, não havia registro sistematizado e atualizado e não havia atividades de prevenção e promoção de saúde. Conseguimos cadastrar 370 usuários com Hipertensão (cobertura de 38%) e 121 usuários com Diabetes (cobertura de 50,4%). Realizamos exame clínico apropriado em todos os usuários, melhoramos o registro, realizamos atividades coletivas de prevenção e orientamos todos os usuários sobre atividade física regular, alimentação saudável, riscos que o tabagismo traz e higiene bucal. Para ofertar atenção e assistência qualificadas, contamos com profissionais médico, enfermeira, técnicas de enfermagem, agentes comunitários de saúde, os quais todos foram dedicados e a comunidade está mais satisfeita com o serviço oferecido pela Unidade de Saúde. Os resultados mostraram que é necessário continuar ativamente na busca de hipertensos e/ou diabéticos; além disso, propiciar a manutenção da qualificação do serviço, objetivando ofertar um cuidado mais qualitativo, efetivo e resolutivo para todos, sem distinção.

Propõe-se um plano de intervenção, visando a reorganização do serviço de pré-natal na área 1 da Unidade de Saúde da Família de Monte Líbano, no município de Natal-RN. O plano tem como objetivos específicos: atualizar o cadastro das gestantes da área com o apoio dos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde; estabelecer uma agenda de consultas médicas e de enfermagem durante o período gestacional; implementar condutas fortalecendo o trabalho em equipe; definir um protocolo para visitas domiciliares; e criar um grupo de gestantes para o desenvolvimento de ações educativas no âmbito coletivo. O grupo alvo é formado pelas gestantes da referida área e a meta é atingir 100% dessas gestantes. O plano será desenvolvido através de ações de caráter organizativo e educativo, priorizando o recadastramento das gestantes da área; a elaboração de um protocolo para o pré-natal; e a criação de um grupo de gestantes para realização de atividades educativas.

Estudos recentes indicam que a cura do câncer de colo de útero pode atingir 100% da população afetada desde que o diagnóstico seja feito ainda nas lesões iniciais. Embora o Brasil tenha sido um dos primeiros países a utilizar a colposcopia e o exame citopatológico para detecção precoce da patologia, ainda verifica-se uma alta taxa de morbimortalidade associada à doença. O rastreamento do câncer de colo de útero envolve a aplicação dos exames, identificação de casos positivos, confirmação diagnóstica e definição do tratamento. Verificou-se que após ficar fechada para reformas por um período, a Unidade Básica de Saúde Bela Vista, do município de Natal-RN, voltou a funcionar com uma baixa procura para realização de exames de rastreamento. Diante disso, o presente plano de intervenção tem como objetivo propor ações integradas para incentivar a maior adesão às campanhas de rastreamento de câncer de colo de útero na referida unidade de saúde.

In a hospital environment, these bacteria can be spread by insects such as ants, which are characterized by high adaptability to the urban environment. Staphylococcus is a leading cause of hospital infection. In Europe, Latin America, USA and Canada, the group of coagulase negative staphylococci (CoNS) is the second leading cause of these infections, according to SENTRY (antimicrobial surveillance program- EUA). In this study, we investigated the potential of ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) as vehicle mechanics of Staphylococcus bacteria in a public hospital, in Natal-RN. The ants were collected, day and night, from June 2007 to may 2008, in the following sectors: hospitals, laundry, kitchen, blood bank. The ants were identified according to the identification key of Bolton, 1997. For the analysis of staphylococci, the ants were incubated in broth Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) for 24 hours at 35 º C and then incubated on Mannitol Salt Agar. The typical colonies of staphylococci incubated for 24 hours at 35 ° C in Tryptic Soy Agar for the characterization tests (Gram stain, catalase, susceptibility to bacitracin and free coagulase). The identification of CoNS was performed through biochemical tests: susceptibility to novobiocin, growth under anaerobic conditions, presence of urease, the ornithine decarboxylation and acid production from the sugars mannose, maltose, trehalose, mannitol and xylose. The antimicrobial susceptibility examined by disk-diffusion technique. The technique of Polymerase Chain Reaction was used to confirm the presence of mecA gene and the ability to produce biofilm was verified by testing in vitro using polystyrene inert surface, in samples of resistant staphylococci. Among 440 ants, 85 (19.1%) were carrying coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) of the species Staphylococcus saprophyticus (17), Staphylococcus epidermidis (15), Staphylococcus xylosus (13), Staphylococcus hominis hominis (10), Staphylococcus lugdunensis (10), Staphylococcus warneri (6), Staphylococcus cohnii urealyticum (5), Staphylococcus haemolyticus (3), Staphylococcus simulans (3), Staphylococcus cohnii cohnii (2), and Staphylococcus capitis (1). No Staphylococcus aureus was found. Among the isolates, 30.58% showed resistance to erythromycin. Two samples of CoNS (2.35%), obtained from the ant Tapinoma melanocephalum collected in the post-surgical female ward, S. Hominis hominis and S. lugdunensis harbored the mecA gene and were resistant to multiple antibiotics, and the specie S. hominis hominis even showed to be a biofilm producer. This study proves that ants act as carriers of multidrug-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococci and biofilm producers and points to the risk of the spreading of pathogenic microorganisms by this insect in the hospital environment

Stroke represents the first cause of disabilities among adults. Although different professions work together in treatment of stroke patients, all they use different terminologies for the description of the patients problems and it can constitute an impediment in the communication between the staff members. Thus, the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary work would be facilitated if using a reference common tool, as the new International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). However, the ICF is very extensive and complex and due to its complexity, it has been evidenced the necessity to select its categories to become it more practical. The aim of the study was to investigate which categories of the ICF are more suitable to evaluate and to describe the stroke patient in the view of teachers and municipal public health professionals. It was a descriptive research, which involved 5 professors and 11 professionals of Physiotherapy that have worked at the health public area in Natal / RN. It was used the Delphi Technique in 3 rounds and the Likert Scale to select the categories among the ICF components. As result, from the 362 IFC categories, 94 were selected. The selected categories correspond to rehabilitative characteristics of Stroke patients in the universe of the Physiotherapy performance. The methodology applied was suitable to the studied object emphasizing the necessity of future studies for validation of the chosen categories

Teaching is an activity inherent to the human condition. Historically, from the institutionalization of education, the key role to pursue that activity has been attributed to the teacher, who is required to adapt to the demands of each historical conjuncture. Currently, according to the new paradigmatic requirements, the teacher must possess various skills in order to handle the complex and challenging act of teaching. Assuming the existence of a gap between what the State and the scientific discourse recommend the teacher act upon in the classroom, a decision was made to identify the configuration and structure of social representation in the act of teaching, put forth by elementary school teachers in the public schools of Natal, RN, Brazil. Therefore, the research relied on the theoretical model developed by Domingos Sobrinho (1998, 2000, 2003), which articulates the praxeology of Pierre Bourdieu with the theory of social representations of Serge Moscovici (1978). It was intended to demonstrate how teachers habitus, in its due historical context, directs the construction of social representations in the act of teaching which guides the actions of the teacher, particularly in the classroom context. At the methodological level, the following methods and techniques were used: bibliographic and documentary review in order to identify the scientific discourse on the subject matter and the official parameters of educational regulation and the act of teaching; the Procedure of Multiple Classifications PMC in order to capture the configuration and structure of the representational content in focus, the direct observation of the classroom to identify in actual terms the social representation as "guide to action" as the theory preaches. From the standpoint of the analysis, quantitative data were analysed through Multidimensional Scaling MDS, covering in this study the Multidimensional Scale Analysis MSA and Smallest Space Analysis SSA; and non-parametric statiscal techniques. Additional data of qualitative value had to undergo categorical content analysis. It was then concluded that the teachers investigated guided themselves by social representation, the product of collectively constructed and shared assumptions about the act of teaching, forming a synthesis of different sources of information and knowledge acquirement, involving elements of common sense, religious habitus, pedagogic models considered outdated, the agencies responsible for teacher training and the hegemonic discourse about education today

For young people and adults that have not yet conquered reading and writing, being literate is the most important thing in life , a dream . Scholarly learning for them is like hegemonic knowledge in contemporary literate society. Thus, for them to get into school is to be able to have such knowledge and, through it, feel inserted into this society. However, along this process of learning, they start to drop out, little by little, statistically increasing the number of people who give up on young people and adult education Eja, as well as slowly reducing the contingent of illiteracy in the country. With this reality as a starting point, we question the concrete and symbolic reasons or motives that lead to a dropping out of the literacy classes at Eja. To do so, we have established, as the object of our study, the feelings of giving up among those involved in young people and adult literacy training. To understand such feelings is our purpose in this investigation. The theory of Social Representations (MOSCOVICI, 1978, 2004) was the theoretical-methodological option for subsidizing data search, analyses and interpretation, making us perceive the significance of the object of this study for these individuals. The gathering of such symbolic content involved the use of semi-structured interviews with eleven drop-outs and ten students who had repeated this modality of teaching in public schools in Natal, RN, during the 2006 school year. From the thematic and categorical analyses (BARDIN, 1977), we identified elements that gave support to some themes. Later, these themes led to three categories, suggesting that feelings associated with dropping out were based on the following: learning difficulties because they did not understand the contents; having their lack of knowledge exposed, thus bringing forth feelings of shame, humiliation, and embarrassment for not knowing how to read and write at a mature age; work, tiredness and sickness. The students who manage to remain in school are those who force themselves to live with the feelings of maladaptation and those who develop a sense of adaptation the other way round to the institution, that is, acceptance of institutional failures and omissions

The following dissertation has as its main advantage the privilege of visualizing the literacy processes through the angle of the functional perspective, which does not see the literary process as a practice solely based on the decoding of alphabetical codes, and then allows for the opening of ample spaces for the allocation of mathematical skills in the realms of the functional literacy. The main object of this study was to investigate which are the contributions that a sequence of activities and of methodologies developed for the teaching of Geometry could provide for a part of the functional literacy process in mathematics of youngsters and adults of EJA, corresponding to the acquisition or to the improvement of skills related to the orientation capacity. The focus of the analyses consisted in the practice of these activities with the young and adult students of an EJA class belonging to a municipal public school of Natal/RN. The legacies of Paulo Freire about the redimensioning of the role of the teacher, of the students, of the knowledge and of their connections within the teaching-learning process, prevailed in the actions of the methodology implemented in the classroom and, especially, in the establishing of dialogic connections with the students, which directed all the observations and analyses regarding the collected information. The results indicated that the composition of articulations between the teaching of mathematics and the exploration of maps and the earth globe enabled the creation of multidisciplinary learning environments and situations, where we could observe, gradually, the development of procedures and attitudes indicating the evolution of space-visual type skills

This thesis represents a didactic research linked to the Post-graduation Programme in Education of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte which aimed to approach the construction of the geometrical concepts of Volume of the Rectangular Parallelepiped, Area and Perimeter of the Rectangle adding a study of the Area of the Circle. The research was developed along with students from the 6th level of the Elementary School, in a public school in Natal/RN. The pedagogical intervention was made up of three moments: application of a diagnostic evaluation, instrument that enabled the creation of the teaching module by showing the level of the geometry knowledge of the students; introduction of a Teaching Module by Activities aiming to propose a reflexive didactic routing directed to the conceptual construction because we believed that such an approach would favor the consolidation of the learning process by becoming significant to the apprentice, and the accomplishment of a Final Evaluation through which we established a comparison of the results obtained before and after the teaching intervention. The data gathered were analyzed qualitatively by means of a study of understanding categories of mathematical concepts, in addition to using descriptive statistics under the quantitative aspect. Based on the theory of Richard Skemp, about categorization of mathematical knowledge, in the levels of Relational and Instrumental Understanding were achieved in contextual situations and varied proportions, thus enabling a contribution in the learning of the geometrical concepts studied along with the students who took part in the research. We believe that this work may contribute with reflections about the learning processes, a concern which remained during all the stages of the research, and also that the technical competence along with the knowledge about the constructivist theory will condition the implementation of a new dynamics to the teaching and learning processes. We hope that the present research work may add some contribution to the teaching practice in the context of the teaching of Mathematics for the intermediate levels of the Elementary School

This work detaches the importance of the continued formation of the educators in terms of the inclusive educational process, pointing as basic elements the continued formation of the educational professionals. In this direction, it points and it defends the dialogue in the perspective of David Bohm, with interfaces of the freireanas ideas, as a methodological resource of action that allows the organization of strategies of collective and effective pedagogical support in inclusive schools, in the same time articulates the continued formation of the professionals in education. Characterized as research in a dialogical action with collective participation and collaboration, it counted with the participation of 87 educators, between professors, pedagogical, managing coordinators and specialists of special education in two schools of the state and municipal public system of Natal/RN. The results had pointed with respect to the viability of the dialogue as articulated methodological tool of the continued formation in service, when providing the establishment of personal and professional relationship between the educators, favoring the discursive enjoyment of the lived experiences, allows the organization of strategies of collective and effective pedagogical support in the scholar environment. On the basis of these results, this work also points to some items to reflections as the reorganization of the Secretariats and the schools, in the direction to brighten up the fragmentation and the discontinuity of the pedagogical actions evidenced and to instigate a process of changes that has glimpsed the professional development of the educators through its continued formation in service and the improvement of the school in the way of the concretization of an education directed toward the acceptance, respect and attendance the diversity of its pupils, as detaches the official documents and the studies on the inclusive education

Since the enactment of LDBEN 9.9394/96, Physical Education began to be understood as a curricular component in school. Thus, we see the need for systematization of content. We observed that the physical education classes at the public schools in Natal/RN from the game content, teachers did not use the existing proposals for systematization. And it was on this reality that the study occurred, aiming to present and discuss a proposal to systematization the game content in physical education classes in elementary and secondary education. Accordingly, we departed of following question: What possibilities of systematization of the game content in school physical education classes?. The methodology used was the action research, which allowed us to structure the intervention plan for the game content, directed to a reflective didactic process. The dialogue with action research provided an opportunity to understand of the proposal of systematization, the knowledge of game content, the planning and process of teaching and learning in physical education lessons developed. We use the proposed systematization the book Educação Física Escolar e Organização Curricular , to direct and organize the lesson plans. As research technique, we use the participant observation, filming, photographic records and field diary, guiding us in the debates and discussions about the field of research. The applications of the lesson plans were carried out in three schools, all located in Natal / RN: Escola Municipal Professora Ivonete Maciel, Escola Municipal Professor Ulisses de Góis e Professor Escola Estadual Josino Macedo. The members of this study were students PIBID-EF-UFRN, teachers, supervisors and school. They made the bridge between research and action, theoretical foundation and pedagogical practice, university and school. The results were advanced for beyond the propositions submitted by the above-mentioned book. For the Elementary School 1, the proposed systematization broadened experiences and learning of knowledge of the game and of playful and body manifestations. Provided an opportunity to know and learn about game of make account, rules, popular games, cooperative games, among others. For Elementary Schools 2 and Middle education, systematized lessons allowed the practical, the incorporation of knowledge of the game and its features: such as rules, origin, meaning of the name, different denominations, among others. The students experienced and learned, popular games, pre-sport games, cooperative games, with recycled material, among others. The treatment from three dimensions of contents: procedural, conceptual and attitudinal, occurred parallel to approach the game content, and in conjunction with our interventions, not being done separately during practice, but an ongoing process during class. This new perspective of work the game, in a systematized way, with applying, description and discussion the activities, allowed elaborate a summary framework of thematizations for game content, by year of teaching
