Alonso Rodríguez Gamarra en el comercio de libros con la América colonial (1607-1613)

Alonso Rodríguez Gamarra fue un impresor sevillano activo entre 1604 y 1622. Envió libros en 1607 a Santo Domingo y en 1613 a Guatemala y México. Estos tres envíos sumaban 71, 295 y 186 ejemplares respectivamente. Además, estos envíos incluían en total doce resmas de menudencias impresas (6.000 pliegos) que formaban en su conjunto un surtido notable. En dos de las tres hojas de registro se incluyó el detalle de los títulos embarcados con un nivel de descripción poco habitual, pues se anotaron los datos del autor, el título y el pie de imprenta. Esto último nos ha deparado alguna sorpresa, ya que permite realizar precisiones sobre la producción de los talleres de Gamarra. Es necesario destacar la referencia a una edición desconocida por los bibliógrafos, que aparece declarada por el propio impresor como"Oraciones y exercicios de fr. Luis de Granada Seuilla por Alonso Rodríguez Gamarra 1612".

Ligand binding to heparan sulfate proteoglycans induces their aggregation and distribution along actin cytoskeleton

Cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) participate in molecular events that regulate cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. The present study demonstrates that soluble heparin-binding proteins or cross-linking antibodies induce the aggregation of cell surface HSPGs and their distribution along underlying actin filaments. Immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy and immunogold and electron microscopy indicate that, in the absence of ligands, HSPGs are irregularly distributed on the fibroblast cell surface, without any apparent codistribution with the actin cytoskeleton. In the presence of ligand (lipoprotein lipase) or antibodies against heparan sulfate, HSPGs aggregate and colocalize with the actin cytoskeleton. Triton X-100 extraction and immunoelectron microscopy have demonstrated that in this condition HSPGs were clustered and associated with the actin filaments. Crosslinking experiments that use biotinylated lipoprotein lipase have revealed three major proteoglycans as binding sites at the fibroblast cell surface. These cross-linked proteoglycans appeared in the Triton X-100 insoluble fraction. Platinum/carbon replicas of the fibroblast surface incubated either with lipoprotein lipase or antiheparan sulfate showed large aggregates of HSPGs regularly distributed along cytoplasmic fibers. Quantification of the spacing between HSPGs by confocal microscopy confirmed that the nonrandom distribution of HSPG aggregates along the actin cytoskeleton was induced by ligand binding. When cells were incubated either with lipoprotein lipase or antibodies against heparan sulfate, the distance between immunofluorescence spots was uniform. In contrast, the spacing between HSPGs on fixed cells not incubated with ligand was more variable. This highly organized spatial relationship between actin and proteoglycans suggests that cortical actin filaments could organize the molecular machinery involved in signal transduction and molecular movements on the cell surface that are triggered by heparin-binding proteins.

Estudio clínico comparativo de la eficacia de azitromicina frente a amoxicilina/Ac. Clavulánico en el tratamiento de infecciones orales.

Fundamentos: el objetivo de este estudio fue comparar la eficacia. seguridad y tolerancia de la azitromicina frente a amoxicilina/ac. clavulánico en el tratamiento de pacientes con infecciones bucales agudas de origen odontogénico. Pacientes y Método: en este estudio abierto, comparativo y multicéntrico, se incluyeron 208 pacientes con infección bucal aguda de origen odontogénico, asignados aleatoriamente a dos grupos; 102 pacientes recibieron azitromicina, y 106 pacientes recibieron amoxicilina/ac. clavulánico. Se realizaron una historia clínica y una exploración física, y se tomaron muestras de sangre y orina. En cada una de las visitas, se recogieron los signos y síntomas característicos de la infección. Resultados: el nivel de respuesta fue similar en ambos grupos terapéuticos, obteniéndose un porcentaje de curación o mejoría superior al 90%. Azitromicina fue mejor tolerada y tuvo mejor cumplimiento que amoxicilina/ac. clavulánico. Los efectos adversos fueron en su mayoría gastrointestinales. Conclusión: Azitromicina y amoxicilina/clavulánico fueron igualmente efectivos en el tratamiento de infecciones agudas de origen odontogénico.

Décrire une activité verbale et proposer une norme pour enseigner un savoir-faire : l'exemple d'un manuel de storytelling

This paper describes and analyses language norms in a storytelling manual published in the Frenchspeaking part of Switzerland. In the manual, storytelling is conceived as a means of persuasion and thus it appears that an appropriate storytelling should lead to believe or to act. What exactly is "appropriateness" in this specific case? In order to examine this issue, this paper addresses three questions: how storytelling is promoted as an efficient communicative technique; which methods are used to propose and support language norms (by showing "what the storyteller should do" and by saying "how he should do so"); and which are the criteria which define an appropriate story (semantic/formal and functional criteria) and an appropriate telling of the story (communicative and linguistic criteria).
