Este estudio aborda un doble objetivo: a) conocer si existe progresión signi+cativa entre tres valores correspondientes al índice de Borg elicitados por jóvenes deportistas con relación a tres actividades de intensidad creciente; b) analizar la relación existente entre el índice de masa corporal (IMC) de los participantes con los valores de frecuencia cardíaca (FC) y la percepción de intensidad del esfuerzo (RPE). Método: Treinta y cinco deportistas jóvenes con una edad media de 18 y 28 años (21±0,5), realizaron 3 actividades que exigían una intensidad creciente de ejercicio: leve, moderada y vigorosa (ACSM, 2011). Se controló la frecuencia cardíaca mediante el dispositivo telemétrico Polar Team 2 y al +nalizar las tres actividades se administró tres veces la escala de Borg para obtener la RPE para cada actividad. Se ha complementado la metodología observacional indirecta (índices de Borg) con la metodología cuasiexperimental para obtener inferencias causales mediante un diseño sincrónico de variable de asignación conocida y grupo único. Se ha realizado un análisis de regresión múltiple, considerando la FC y la RPE como variables predictoras del IMC. Resultados: la RPE es creciente, acorde a las actividades, en todos los participantes, aunque en ningún caso la tendencia es estadísticamente signi+cativa. Prácticamente la cuarta parte del IMC se puede explicar por la FC y la RPE puesto que los participantes que tienen valores más altos de FC y de índice de Borg tienen también mayores valores de IMC. Este estudio puede proporcionar una visión de evaluación integrada entre los factores IMC, FC y la RPE, que suelen investigarse de modo aislado.

Els objectius generals plantejats en aquest Treball Final de Màster són els següents: - Analitzar les possibilitats del “geoaching” com una eina educativa per al desenvolupament de les competències bàsiques en educació física. Per desenvolupar aquest objectiu s’ha començat fent una anàlisi sobre l’evolució de les TIC a l’educació i a l’Educació Física en particular, seguida d’una anàlisi de la pràctica del geocaching, per observar la seva contribució al desenvolupament de les competències bàsiques a l’educació secundària i al Batxillerat, buscar possibilitats de treball interdisciplinari a partir de la seva dinàmica i mostrar experiències reals d’aplicació d’aquesta eina en contextos educatius, tant a l’educació física com en altres àrees curriculars, així com altres experiències fora de contextos educatius. - Observar els coneixements que té del geocaching el professorat d’Educació Física a l’educació secundària del Baix Empordà i la seva possible aplicació. Per tal de poder desenvolupar aquest objectiu, s’ha creat un qüestionari el qual tots els professors d’Educació Física exercents en centres de secundària del Baix Empordà han hagut de respondre. Gràcies als resultats obtinguts s’han pogut observar i analitzar quins han estat aquests coneixements i opinions. - Dissenyar una proposta en forma d’Unitat Didàctica per Educació Física sobre orientació mitjançant el “geocaching” al Batxillerat. Aquest objectiu pretén assolir-se mitjançant el desenvolupament de tota una unitat didàctica per Educació Física, on s’utilitzi el geocaching com a eina per a treballar la orientació mitjançant les noves tecnologies. En aquest cas, els telèfons mòbils intel·ligents smartphones.

The production and use of nitroaromatic explosives have resulted in their dissemination into the environment, where their presence in waterways and soil represents an ecological and health hazard. The hazardous characteristics of these compounds need to be carefully studied, so that the impact of their discharge on the environment can be better evaluated. This work presents the characterization of wastewater from Brazilian TNT industry using as analytical techniques mass spectroscopy, chromatography, toxicity assays and other physico-chemical analyses.

The study evaluated the efficiency of chemical (phosphorylation) and physical (extrusion) modifications of the starch of broken rice. Results demonstrated a reduction in the moisture content of extruded and phosphorylated broken rice and an increase in the ash content of phosphorylated broken rice. Both phosphorylation and extrusion increased cold water binding capacity, swelling power, and solubility. Extruded and phosphorylated pastes were stable under refrigeration, but only extruded paste was stable when submitted to freezing. Phosphorylated paste had the lowest viscosity and the highest stability during heating, while the extruded one gelatinized without heating, but had higher losses during heating.

One of the methodological resources that teachers use in a generalised way in Physical Education classes is the game. Inthis article we define the concept of game and analyse the characteristics of their internal structure. On the other hand welook at the concepts of physical condition and conditional skills and describe the objectives of its work in Primary Education.Finally, we relate these concepts and propose two practical examples of modifying the internal structure of the game so asto produce variations in the implied conditional skills

From the areas of motor learning and the teaching of Physical Education we promote coherent methodological orientationswith the present curricular guide that are focused in such a way so that the student is able to act independently. In thissense we may consider the problem situations as a good example for methodological proposals. So as to determine its useand adequateness for Physical Education it is conveniente to analyse the characteristics of the motor tasks that areproposed as well as the features of the teaching intervention in such a way as to ease the adquisition and development ofthe motor competence of the students

In front of a moment of change in the education, with the entry into force of the LOE (Ley Orgánica de Educación, 2006), the aim of thisarticle is to face the challenge of trying to answer to the need to make concrete learning agreements with the new curriculum based on competences.The present article arises from the interest of being able to offer an approach that facilitates the exposition to show the didactic units from the areaof physical education in relation with the pedagogic principles of the LOE. Departing from this commitment, let’s sense beforehand an offer of thecontributions of the Physical Education to the Basic Competence to learn to learn which entails to develop some capacities in fuction of knowing todo skills

A thermodynamic formalism based on the Gibbs Dividing Surface (GDS) for the description of a solid-fluid interface is presented, so that the adsorption layer is understand as a phase and the adsorption process as the transference of components between a 3-dimensional phase and a 2-dimensional one. Using a state equation derived from the Henry's Law, we shall show how the Langmuir isotherm is deduced from de Gibbs isotherm. The GDS is useful also for understanding the release of heat by a system as the adsorption occurs.

In May 1950 a trip was undertaken by the ships "Baependi" and "Vega" to the Trindade Island - 20º30'S and 29º20'W - Approximately 1200 km off the coast of Espirito Santo State. This scientific expedition was realized by the iniciative of the Minister J. A. Lins de Barros. In this expedition the supervisor of the oceanographic works was Prof. W. Besnard, the director of the São Paulo Oceanographic Institute. He brougth home 42 samples of water for study, collected upon the insular terrace of the island, referring to the 15 established stations - see table I - with depths varying between 0 m and 115 m. The physical and chemical properties of them are to be seen on table II. The results obtained were compared with those of the German Expedition to the South Atlantic, 1925/27 ("Meteor"), observed at the stations 157-158-159-163 of profile VI and 168-169-170 of profile VII. The mean results obtaneid by the boats "Baependi" and "Vega" are represented on table IV. We constructed vertical sections - I to VI - of each group of Stations, showing the slope of the insular shelves and, in a general manner, the distribution of salinity. We made also longitudinal section - E, M, I - involving the island and corresponding, respectively, to the groups of stations, the farthest, nearest and intermediary ones. As the number of samples received is reduced and consequently the data obtained are few, no conclusions could be deduced. We made only a commentary supposing that the predominating waters surrounding the island are the same as those coming from the mentioned stations on Profile VI, marked by the "Meteor". No indication authorizes the supposition that waters of the Brazil Current or those of Profile VII of the "Meteor" reach the Trindade Island. On the contrary, its waters must be warm and salted to which Albert Defant (Die Troposphaere, Wiss. Erg. D. Atl. Exp. "Meteor" Band VI, 1 Tel Lief. 3, Berlin, 1936) has referred, as the island is located very near to the limits of the perspective diagram of warm water circulation pointed out. Neste artigo são descritas formas simples e de baixo custo de se montar pilhas, empregando-se placas de zinco, magnésio e cobre mergulhadas diretamente nas soluções eletrolíticas. Como soluções eletrolíticas podem ser empregadas suco de frutas cítricas, ou mesmo apenas água de torneira. A tensão e corrente produzidas pelas pilhas montadas são suficientes para acionar dispositivos com baixa demanda de potência, como relógios analógicos e digitais . Os experimentos podem ser explorados como simples demonstração de transformação de energia química em elétrica para alunos do nível fundamental, ou utilizados como práticas interdisciplinares de Física e Química para alunos mais avançados.
