Análisis del conocimiento, comprensión y valoración que los pacientes de un centro de salud tienen sobre el Documento de las Voluntades Anticipadas (DVA).

Amb la finalitat de valorar el coneixement i la compresió que els pacients d’un centre de salut (CS) tenen sobre el DVA realitzem un estudi observacional, transversal, quanti-qualitatiu amb 153 usuaris. Metges de família realizen qüestionari registrant variables demogràfiques trobant que sols un 4% dels entrevistats han fet el DVA, un 65.7% no el coneixien en el moment de l’estudi i un 96.5% comprén el seu significat després de ser explicat per un metge d’atenció primària (MAP). En conclusió, el DVA és poc conegut entre els usuaris d’un centre de salut comprenent-lo bé si l’explica un MAP.

A management development strategy for the health and personal social services in Ireland

The integration of personal and organisational objectives is a notoriously difficult task but a systematic approach to training and development provides a powerful source of integration. A model illustrating how management development can occupy the 'middle ground' where organisational and individual development overlap is included in this report. Management development must be just one part of a continum, starting with workforce planning and recruitment and selection, and leading to training and development, succession planning and career development.

¿Qué ocurre con el déficit de vitamina d en la población general mayor de 65 años después del verano?

Estudi d’una cohort de persones majors de 64 anys ateses en 5 Àrees Bàsiques de Salut del Vallès Occidental, a les que es van determinar els nivells de vitamina D desprès de l’estiu, per analitzar la possible existència d’una variació estacional en el seu estat vitamínic, i els factors associats. Es van comparar els resultats amb les dades obtingudes en un estudi previ realitzat desprès de l’hivern. Es manté una elevada prevalença d’hipovitaminosi D en aquesta població desprès de l’estiu. Els factors associats amb la deficiència vitamínica van ser els nivells basals previs de 25(OH)D3 i la menor exposició solar.

Estudio prospectivo de capacidad funcional y estado de salud en pacientes intervenidos de ATC incluidos en un programa de rehabilitación pre y postquirúrgico

L´artroplastia total de cadera (ATC) es un dels procediments ortopédics més exitosos que es realitzen avui en dia. En aquest estudi es valora l´evolució de l´estat funcional i de l´estat de salut abans, al mes i ½ i als 3 mesos de la cirurgia. Després de l´ATC s´observa una millora de la condició funcional i de l´estat de salut. L´obtenció d´ecuacions de regresió lineal permitiria aproximar l´estat previ a la cirugia, i el grau de millora esperable per a l´estat de salut als 3 mesos.

Estudio retrospectivo de pacientes con Gammapatía Monoclonal de Significado Incierto en el área de salud 6 de Valencia

L’objectiu del present estudi va ser estudiar a la població afecta de GMSI en l’àrea de salut 6 de València, així com la incidència de la mateixa. Es tracta d’un estudi descriptiu transversal retrospectiu observacional dels pacients amb aquesta patologia que van acudir al servei d’Hematologia de l’hospital de referència. Quant als resultats, encara que les dades analítiques i evolutives van ser similars a sèries anteriors (subtipus predominant IgG, 7.5% de progressió), el nombre de pacients i la incidència va ser menor de l'esperada, la qual cosa va restar pes estadístic a l'extrapolació dels resultats.

Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) is an integral element of effective commissioning and is underpinned by a core set of values and principles - involving and listening to people in order to help us make services better.It brings about a number of recognised benefits if fully embraced into our culture and practice, these include:Use of service user knowledge and expertise;Better priority setting and decision making;More responsive, appropriate, efficient and tailored services;Transformation and reduction of complaints;Increased levels of service satisfaction;Increased dignity and self worth.The Public Health Agency (PHA) and Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) have now developed a joint Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) Strategy after extensive engagement and discussion. Regional Health and Social Care Personal and Public Involvement Forum: Annual update report

This is the first annual report of the Regional Health and Social Care Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) Forum. It gives a brief introduction into the concept of PPI, which seeks to involve service users and the public in the planning, delivery and commissioning of services across healthcare in Northern Ireland. The report also provides a background to the development of PPI in Northern Ireland and details on the establishment of the forum.The bulk of the report centres on how PPI is being implemented across all the partner organisations within the healthcare system. Each organisation is introduced and each provides a summary of PPI work it has delivered and planned for the near future. A list of relevant contacts is also included.
