Espécies novas de Centris Fabricius (Hymenoptera, Apoidea)

Three new species of Centris Fabricius, 1804 are described: C. (Melacentris) melanosara sp. nov. (Viçosa-MG, Brazil), C. (Ptilotopus) melampoda sp. nov. (Manaus-AM, Brazil), and C. (Ptilotopus) erythrotricha sp. nov. (Pucallpa, Peru). Centris (Melacentris) frieseana nom. nov., a new name given to Centris friesei Ducke, 1902, non Schrottky, 1902. Comments and comparison between C. (Melacentris) rhodoprocta Moure & Seabra, 1961 and C. (Ptilotopus) nobilis Westwood, 1840, are given. All the species are figured.

Uma nova espécie de Strebla Wiedemann, 1824 (Diptera, Streblidae, Streblinae) sobre Anoura caudifer (E. Geoffroy, 1818) (Chiroptera, Phyllostomidae, Glossophaginae)

A new species of Strebla Wiedemann, S. carvalhoi sp. nov., collected, on Anoura caudifer (E. Geoffroy, 1818) from Southern of Brazil, is described. Drawings of the postvertex, occipital plates, gonopods and tergite VII are provided.

Micropygomyia (Sauromyia) petari, a new species of Phlebotominae (Diptera, Psychodidae) from Vale do Ribeira, São Paulo State, Brazil

Micropygomyia (Sauromyia) petari sp. nov. (Diptera, Psychodidae, Phlebotominae) from speleological province of the Vale do Ribeira, São Paulo State, Brazil, is described and illustrated. This new taxon belongs to oswaldoi series.

New species of Bakeriella (Hymenoptera, Bethylidae) from the New World and new data on geographic distribution

Bakeriella lata sp. nov. (Brazil, Rondônia), Bakeriella aurata sp. nov. (Brazil, Amazonas) and Bakeriella sulcaticeps sp. nov. (Brazil, Amazonas) are described and illustrated. New geographic records and variation data for B. cristata Evans, 1964, B. floridana Evans, 1964, B. flavicornis Kieffer, 1910, B. incompleta Azevedo, 1994, B. mira Evans, 1997, B. montivaga (Kieffer, 1910), B. olmeca Evans, 1964 and B. subcarinata Evans, 1965 are provided. The male of B. incompleta is described for the first time.

(Paraná) and P. bicornis sp. nov. (Mato Grosso).

Centris (Centris) pulchra sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The specimens were collected in a restricted area of coastal sand dunes with "restinga" vegetation in northeast of Brazil, near Salvador-BA.

Lutzomyia chotensis sp. nov. (Diptera, Psychodidae, Phlebotominae) from Cajamarca Department, Peru, is described and its taxonomic position discussed.

Meliponini neotropicais: o gênero Partamona Schwarz, 1939 (Hymenoptera, Apidae)

Neotropical Meliponini: the genus Partamona Schwarz, 1939 (Hymenoptera, Apidae). The systematics and biogeography of Partamona Schwarz, a Neotropical genus of stingless bees (Meliponini, Apinae, Apidae), are revised. Seventeen new species are described: P. epiphytophila sp. nov., P. subtilis sp. nov., P. nhambiquara sp. nov., P. batesi sp. nov., P. yungarum sp. nov., P. vitae sp. nov., P. ferreirai sp. nov., P. gregaria sp. nov., P. auripennis sp. nov., P. nigrilabris sp. nov., P. combinata sp. nov., P. chapadicola sp. nov., P. seridoensis sp. nov., P. littoralis sp. nov., P. criptica sp. nov., P. rustica sp. nov. and P. sooretamae sp. nov. Partamona pseudomusarum Camargo, 1980, is considered as junior synonym of P. vicina Camargo, 1980. Types of P. grandipennis (Schwarz, 1951), P. xanthogastra Pedro & Camargo, 1996-1997, P. pearsoni (Schwarz, 1938), P. ailyae Camargo, 1980, P. pseudomusarum, P. vicina, P. mulata Moure in Camargo, 1980, P. aequatoriana Camargo, 1980, P. mourei Camargo, 1980, P. peckolti, (Friese, 1901), P. testacea (Klug, 1807), P. helleri (Friese, 1900) and P. musarum (Cockerell, 1917) were examined. Lectotypes of P. orizabaensis (Strand, 1919), and P. cupira (Smith, 1863) are designated. An identification key for the species and drawings of morphological characters are presented. A phylogenetic hypothesis, based mainly on morphological characters is proposed. Four groups are defined, considering the shape of mandible of workers and sternum VII of males: bilineata / epiphytophila group (western Amazon to México), including P. bilineata (Say), P. grandipennis, P. xanthogastra P. orizabaensis P. peckolti P. epiphytophila sp. nov., P. subtilis sp. nov., P. nhambiquara sp. nov., P. batesi sp. nov., P. yungarum sp. nov. and P. vitae sp. nov.; musarum group (Central Brazil, north of South America to Central America), including P. musarum, P. aequatoriana, P. vicina, P. mourei, P. pearsoni, P. ferreirai sp. nov., P. gregaria sp. nov. and P. testacea; nigrior group (Central Brazil to northeast of South America) including P. nigrior (Cockerell, 1925), P. auripennis sp. nov., P. nigrilabris sp. nov., P. combinata sp. nov., P. chapadicola sp. nov., P. seridoensis sp. nov. and P. littoralis sp. nov., and cupira group (southeastern and Central Brazil), including P. cupira, P. mulata, P. ailyae, P. sooretamae sp. nov., P. criptica sp. nov., P. rustica sp. nov. and P. helleri. Some geographic distribution patterns, congruent with that of other Meliponini bees, are commented.

Duas novas espécies de Ptychoderes Schoenherr (Coleoptera, Anthribidae, Anthribinae, Ptychoderini)

Duas novas espécies de Ptychoderes Schoenherr, 1823 são descritas e ilustradas: Ptychoderes magnus sp. nov., da Bolívia e Brasil (localidade-tipo: Ouro Preto d'Oeste, Rondônia) e P. jekeli sp. nov. do Brasil e Guiana Francesa (localidade-tipo: Roches de Kourou).

Novos táxons em Membracinae (Hemiptera, Membracidae)

Cinco novas espécies são descritas: em Hoplophorionini Goding, 1926 Metcalfiella venezuelana sp. nov. (Venezuela, Lara); em Hypsoprorini Haupt, 1929 Hypsoprorachis fossulata sp. nov. (Brasil, Minas Gerais), Hypsoprora gracilis sp. nov. (Brasil, Mato Grosso), H. laminata sp. nov. (Brasil, São Paulo) e H. adusta sp. nov. (Brasil, Bahia). Fotografias dos holótipos são apresentadas.

A new spot-thoraxed species of Drosophila from the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil (Diptera, Drosophilidae)

Drosophila boraceia sp. nov. is described from a single male specimen collected at the Estação Biológica de Boracéia, Salesópolis, state of São Paulo, Brazil. At first inspection it looks like a species of Drosophila belonging to the fasciola subgroup of the repleta group, mainly because of the fasciola-like pattern of fused spots on the thorax. However, mostly due to the quite distinct structures of the male terminalia, it seems to be more similar to one ungrouped and also spot-thoraxed South American species, Drosophila atalaia Vilela & Sene, 1982. Illustrations of the terminalia are also provided.

Mallodon vermiculatus sp. nov. (from Panama) and Nothopleurus santacruzensis sp. nov. (from Bolivia) are described and illustrated. Mallodon dasystomus dasystomus (Say, 1824) = M. mandibularis Lackerbeck, 1998 syn. nov.

Novos táxons em Apomecynini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Lamiinae) da Região Neotropical

Novos táxons descritos em Apomecynini: Eyiaba gen. nov., com duas espécies novas, E. picta sp. nov. (Brasil: São Paulo) e E. itapetinga sp. nov. (Brasil: Bahia); Adetus jacareacanga sp. nov. (Brasil: Pará) e Parmenonta dominicana sp. nov. (República Dominicana). Chave para identificação das espécies de Eyiaba é fornecida.

Description of a new species of Cylloepus Erichson from southeastern Brazil (Coleoptera, Elmidae)

Cylloepus dorvillei sp. nov. is described and illustrated from a first order stream at the Atlantic Forest in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. Taxonomic and habitat notes on the new species are presented.
