Réadaptation cardiovasculaire, un- bien sous-utilisé [Cardiac rehabilitation, a proven intervention underutilized in the French-speaking part of Switzerland].

Cardiac rehabilitation is associated with a reduced risk of recurrence and mortality after an acute coronary syndrome. Cardiac rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary approach which starts during the acute hospital phase, then followed by a four to six weeks home-based or stationary program, in order to maintain long-term lifestyle changes. Despite the important health benefits of cardiac rehabilitation and its cost-effectiveness, only half of the patients in Europe will achieve a cardiovascular prevention program after an acute coronary syndrome. In the French part of Switzerland, one explanation for this low adherence might be the lack of both stationary and home-based program facilities.

«Blanc comme la neige noire des cauchemars»: Merlin, don du ciel et excroissance de l'enfer? Le bien et le mal dans un corpus médiéval et un texte de Catherine Dufour

Ce travail se propose de comparer le personnage de Merlin dans un corpus médiéval (Geoffroy de Monmouth; Wace, Roman de Brut; Merlin en prose; La Suite du Roman de Merlin) et un texte moderne (Blanche-Neige contre Merlin l'enchanteur de Catherine Dufour) à travers la problématique du bien et du mal. Savoir où se situe Merlin, entre Dieu et le diable, est essentiel dans les textes du Moyen Age, alors que cette préoccupation semble à priori dépassée dans un texte iconoclaste, tel que celui de Dufour. Il est pourtant possible de l'observer à de nombreuses reprises, notamment en ce qui concerne l'origine de l'enchanteur, ses pouvoirs, ses éclats de rire et le rôle qu'il joue dans la conception d'Arthur. So far, cardiac arrest is still associated with high mortality or severe neurological disability in survivors. At the tissue level, cardiac arrest results into an acute condition of generalized hypoxia. A better understanding of the pathophysiology of ischemia-reperfusion and of the inflammatory response that develops after cardiac arrest could help to design novel therapeutic strategies in the future. It seems unlikely that a single drug, acting as a <magic bullet>, might be able to improve survival or neurological prognosis. Lessons learned from pathophysiological mechanisms rather indicate that combined therapies, involving thrombolysis, neuroprotective agents, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory molecules, together with temperature cooling, might represent helpful strategies to improve patient's outcome after cardiac arrest.

Las Dactylopiidae y Diaspididae (Hemiptera, Coccoidea) de la Colección Kenneth Hayward, Tucumán, Argentina

Se estudió la colección Kenneth Hayward depositada parte en el Instituto Miguel Lillo (IMLA) y parte en la Estación Experimental Agroindustrial "Obispo Colombres" (EEAOC) de Tucumán, Argentina. Se citan cuatro especies de Dactylopiidae y 32 de Diaspididae con sus respectivas plantas huéspedes. Se redescribe e ilustra a Duplaspidiotus koehleri Lizer y Trelles y Pallulaspis lantanae Green & Laing, descriptas originalmente para la Argentina. Se cita por primera vez al género Rugaspidiotus Mc Gillivary para la Argentina.
