Transcript: New York Jan. 14. 1813. My dear uncle, I had nearly concluded to have made my [jaunt?] earlier than I had mentioned in my last letter to you, for Swartout had intended to have written by me to Father & yourself; having [Louisa?] concluded not so soon to depart he sends me his letters which I forward in mail, I shall hope to have letters from home soon, it is a great pleasure to hear from any of you. I said last week in Hollands letter mentioning [bladeworth?] account, I have explained to him. It is a mistake about me agreeing to pay Mr. [Dening?] [their?] account. Caroline mentions to me your jaunt to [Sophia?], but I regret our friend there should be unpleasantly situated. I have not yet seen Col. Willett but will see him as mentioned. I have neglected to go there for some time which has been remiss in me. We have nothing new I believe unless it be that Armstrong & Jones of Philadelphia have been nominated as Secretarys of War & the Navy & [cer?] this in all probability may be appointed. There may be room for speculation, but perhaps it is not probable that Canada will be ceded to American Valor in the year 1813. There is a Bill before congress by which it may be made penal to enter on board American vessels, either British subjects or naturalized Americans, which it is presoomed by many will [spon?] the accommodation of Peace – may be yes may be no – the proof of the pudding is in the eating of it. I imagine pacification is not so near at hand although it is much to be desired. Whatever might be for the honor & prosperity of the Country I would strenuously advocate, aloof from partial & party considerations. We have not a word as yet what the Council at Albany may be thinking of as yet. I suppose these things will come in time, perhaps untimely to many. Brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to large. Clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations and rotation structures are scattered throughout the entire sample. Comet structures are also present. Minor amounts of grain stacking can also be seen.

Les apports de la phénoménologie de Jan Patočka à la question de l’éthique au travail

Nous nous proposons d’éclairer la question de l’éthique au travail par l’étude de la philosophie de Jan Patočka, dont les publications permettent de sortir de l’antagonisme apparent entre une éthique pensée par le sujet et une éthique donnée. En effet, ses écrits, n’ouvrent-ils pas sur une approche a-subjective de l’éthique au travail mais aussi sur une pensée de l’éthique comme expérience de la liberté ? Ces deux interrogations correspondent aux deux premières parties de notre article et leur discussion est en soi un apport. Dans un troisième temps, nous partirons du caractère « non atomisable » du monde, tel que Patočka l’amène, pour profiler une éthique qui en serait l’horizon. Au final, il en ressort que l’éthique au travail est indissociable de la notion même d’humanité.

Comment vivre en vue du sens ? L’acte libre selon Jan Patočka

Dans cet exposé, l’auteur tente de montrer que le sens que le phénoménologue tchèque Jan Patočka (1907-1977) donne primordialement à « l’action » n’est pas un sens politique, mais plutôt un sens phénoménologique et existentiel. Pris sur ce plan d’analyse, le problème de l ’ agir libre doit être posé au départ de la question la plus fondamentale : Comment vivre en vue du sens ? – question qui concerne en premier lieu l’être individuel et non l’agir-ensemble. En analysant le sens que Patočka donne au monde naturel de la vie, au problème du vital, aux termes « possibilité » et « liberté », l’auteur montre que l’action au sens le plus fondamental, que Patočka nomme « action tragique », est ce qui fait de l’existence humaine un mouvement vivant ouvert sur la totalité du monde.

Estudio de la situación del profesorado, modelo de perfeccionamiento más adecuado y mejoras necesarias, centrado en los profesores que participan en programas de renovación pedagógicas. Profesores de EGB de la provincia de Jaén. Elaboración del cuestionario, aplicación del cuestionario, recogida del instrumento y estudio estadístico. Diarios de clase, análisis de documentos, perfiles, pruebas fotográficas, grabaciones en cinta o vídeo y transcripciones, entrevistas. Técnicas cualitativas. Los cursos de perfeccionamiento permiten actualizar al profesorado y facilitan la tarea docente. El trabajo en equipo permite el perfeccionamiento en un grado aceptable, pero es necesario apoyo económico. La administración produce desencanto. En los programas de renovación pedagógica se trabaja más con modelos teóricos que por intuición pedagógica. El modelo de formación permanente del profesorado que participa en programas de renovación pedagógica no es el más adecuado, la valoración de la administración ha sido negativa, las dificultades no impiden que el profesorado no apueste por renovar la escuela, el profesorado tiene como fin resolver situaciones prácticas diarias.
