企业过程模型参数自动优化是一个多参数多目标的系统优化问题.采用线性加权法将其转换成多参数单目标问题的求解,提出基于计算机模拟的企业过程模型参数的自动寻优方法.它将传统的共轭梯度法FR(fletcher reeves)和禁忌搜索算法TS(tabu search)结合起来,采用FR法进行局部寻优,由TS法实现从当前局部最优点向全域范围内的更优区域转移,循环往复达到求出全域范围最优点的目的.改进了FR法与TS法,克服了各自的缺陷,并提出禁忌区域表的概念,从而加速寻优过程.它适用于任意多维曲面的多极值问题最优求解,对企业进行BPR(business process reengineering)和实施ERP(enterprise resource planning)管理有较大的指导意义.

面向服务的构件模型可以解决当前大型软件系统难于管理、维护困难和缺乏动态性等问题,而OSGi框架为基于构件系统的服务化开发提供了有力支持.把OSGi作为基础框架对遗留软件系统进行再工程,设计了OSGi化软件的总体框架,提出了软件系统构件化方法,并针对再工程过程中普遍存在的问题给出了相应的解决方案.最后,通过对Web容器再工程的实例研究,验证了面向OSGi的构件化软件再工程方法的有效性.

The better models of e-Gov posit high levels of informational communication between citizen and state. Unfortunately, in one area, that communication has traditionally been poor: that is, access to sources of law. There have been a number of reasons for this, but a primary one has been that law was historically mediated for the citizen by the legal profession. This situation is changing with ever increasing numbers of unrepresented litigants being involved at all levels of national court systems in each and every country as well as a generally higher level of intrusion of legislation into everyday home and business life. There have been attempts to improve access through internet based services, but these have improved communication (‘understanding of law’) to only a limited extent. It may be time, this article suggests, to consider re-engineering legal sources so that they better fit the needs of eGov.

O domínio científico da investigação é a Gestão da Inovação e a Gestão da Transferência de Conhecimento e de Tecnologia, tendo como tema central as relações entre empresas e agentes de inovação que fazem da Transferência de Tecnologia uma das suas actividades, pelo que se tenta caracterizar e validar uma Metodologia de análise subjectiva adequada ao estudo daqueles agentes, enquanto disseminadores de conhecimento, e as formas de maximizar a sua actuação quando tenta atender às necessidades das empresas, tais como a transferência de conhecimento e de tecnologias, ao mesmo tempo que valoriza o seu conhecimento. O trabalho proposto tem como objectivo principal contribuir para o fomento de estudos que permitam classificar as acções dos Agentes de Inovação na sua vertente de disseminador do conhecimento, requerendo assim entender as relações subjacentes aos processos de criação, transferência e difusão de conhecimento. Este contributo passa pelo estudo das formas de aplicação de mecanismos específicos na gestão das relações daqueles agentes, quando estes actuam em parceria com as empresas. Tem ainda em vista contribuir com este estudo para o desenvolvimento de ferramentas que auxiliem as políticas governamentais no que diz respeito às questões de gestão da inovação e da transferência de conhecimento e de tecnologia. Os seguintes objectivos específicos são propostos: - Evidenciar as práticas actuais que promovem a interacção nas diversas fases do processo assim como a existência de práticas transversais àqueles; - Validar uma Metodologia que, utilizando os conhecimentos anteriores, possibilite a identificação de “bottlenecks” no processo e aponte um conceito de solução para a eliminação destes bottlenecks, apontando medidas para a melhoria dos processos e recursos existentes para valorização do conhecimento gerado pela I&D e atender às necessidades das empresas, sem causar prejuízo à própria investigação e outras actividades da Instituição de I&D. Propomos uma Metodologia de análise que, além de identificar facilitadores críticos (no sentido de serem os mais importantes) para aquele cenário no que toca ao relacionamento com Empresas, também pode descrever um conceito de solução baseado na reengenharia de processos e procedimentos e introdução e utilização de novos conceitos, como os de Gestão de Informação, para aquela Instituição. Para isso procuraremos validar, baseado no conhecimento disponível e aplicação em casos reais, um conjunto de regras de boas práticas que, agrupadas nos facilitadores actuais de TT, reflictam o estado da arte na Gestão da Transferência de Tecnologia e ajudem a caracterizar as Instituições de I&D no que toca ao relacionamento com a envolvente Empresarial.

A Logística, vista como uma perspetiva integradora entre os parceiros de negócio, com objetivos comuns de proporcionar ao cliente mais-valias e aspetos diferenciadores perante os outros concorrentes, contribui em muito na manutenção das empresas na globalização atual, que se torna cada vez mais flexível. Através de uma boa gestão de processos críticos de negócio, boa localização dos materiais, sejam eles quais forem, produtos finais, matérias-primas ou produtos em vias de fabrico e através do transporte a logística cria utilidade temporal e diferenciadora. De facto, a logística poderá assumir um papel fundamental em proporcionar valor acrescentado ao disponibilizar, a tempo, os serviços que os clientes necessitam ou esperam. Enquadrando-se na temática de gestão dos armazéns, o presente projeto consistiu no estudo de operações de picking com a finalidade de otimização dos processos de picking no armazém do operador logístico AR – Serviços de Logística, localizado em Ribeirão, Vila Nova de Famalicão. O trabalho inicial passou pelo levantamento do funcionamento das operações do processo de picking na empresa e posteriormente confrontá-los com as tecnologias e procedimentos atuais no mercado. Com base nos resultados obtidos, foi possível definir e implementar métricas enquadradas nas finalidades estratégicas e operacionais do operador logístico. As soluções passaram também pela melhoria da aplicação de gestão de armazéns (WMS), reavaliação dos indicadores previamente estabelecidos e na aquisição de equipamentos para automatização das operações picking e localizações. Os registos e informações relacionadas com os módulos fulcrais são armazenados e tratados na base de dados de suporte à aplicação com contributo de melhoria contínua aos procedimentos logístico da empresa e sua relação com os stakeholders na estratégia global de negócio com o operador logístico. Finalmente, foi possível analisar os resultados obtidos em modo real em relação as estimativas calculadas e definidas na fase de implementação e desenvolvimento.

Num contexto global de incerteza, as cadeias de abastecimento mais ágeis e os clientes com mais exigências manifestam uma constante preocupação com a melhoria contínua da eficiência das operações logísticas. O presente projeto foi desenvolvido na empresa Sonae Modelo Continente Hipermercados, S.A, uma das duas principais empresas do retalho da grande distribuição alimentar em Portugal. Sendo a logística um fator chave de sucesso, uma das atividades críticas de uma empresa, é identificada a oportunidade de melhoria operacional do processo de negócio, a partir das reclamações dos clientes internos. O tratamento destas reclamações, incidências, é de grande complexidade e responsabilidade para a área do Logistics Customer Service. O projeto desenvolvido, a ‘Reengenharia do processo de reclamações das Lojas’, surgiu da necessidade de criar um modelo e processo de negócio de melhoria contínua, que solucione falhas operacionais com implicação na Logística, Supply Chain e em outras áreas da empresa. A procura dessa melhoria é o objetivo deste trabalho. Pretende-se, com a proposta aqui apresentada, a interligação e automatização da cadeia abastecimento, para superar as ocorrências operacionais, elevar a qualidade do serviço, aumentar a capacidade do processo e incorporar uma monitorização das atividades de input (Lojas) e output (Entrepostos), para futura rastreabilidade das operações, através da integração da cadeia de abastecimento, para a satisfação do cliente interno. Para a elaboração do novo modelo de processo foi seguida a orientação da reengenharia de processos de negócio, nas suas linhas orientadoras: identificação do modelo de processo atual e das suas necessidades; definição dos objetivos norteadores do projeto a apresentar; redesenhar novo modelo de processo de negócio, de modo a dar resposta às necessidades detetadas nos clientes internos.

This project aims to prepare Worten Empresas (WE) fulfilling the increasing market demand through process changings, focusing on the Portuguese market, particularly on internal B2B clients1. Several methods were used to measure the current service level provided - process mapping, resources assessment, benchmark and a survey. The results were then used to compare against service level actually desired by WE’s customer, and then to identify the performance gaps in response times and quality of the follow-up during the sales process. To bridge the identified gaps, both a set of recommendations and an implementation plan were suggested to improve and monitor customer experience. This study concluded that it is possible to fulfill the increasing level of demand and at the same time improve customer satisfaction by implementing changes at the operations level.

Sonae MC is constantly innovating and keeping up with the new market trends, being increasingly focused on E-commerce due to its growing importance. In that area, a telephone line is available to support customers with their problems. However, rare were the cases in which those problems were solved in the first contact. Therefore, the goal of this work was to reengineer these processes to improve the service performance and consequently the customer’s satisfaction. Following an evolutionary approach, improvement opportunities were suggested and if correctly implemented the cases resolution time could decrease 1 day and Sonae MC will save €7.750 per month.

It is hoped that the use of gene transfer technology to treat both monogenetic and acquired diseases may soon become a common therapy option in medicine. For gene therapy to achieve this objective, any gene delivery method will have to meet several criteria, including ease of manufacturing, efficient gene transfer to target tissue, long-term gene expression to alleviate the disease, and most importantly safety in patients. Viral vectors are an attractive choice for use in gene therapy protocols due to their relative efficiency in gene delivery. Since there is inherent risk in using viruses, investigators in the gene therapy community have devoted extensive efforts toward reengineering viral vectors for enhance safety. Here we review the approaches and technologies that are being evaluated for the use of recombinant vectors based upon adeno-associated virus (AAV) in the treatment of a variety of human diseases. AAV is currently the only known human DNA virus that is non-pathogenic and AAV-based vectors are classified as Risk Group 1 agents for all laboratory and animal studies carried out in the US. Although its apparent safety in natural infection and animals appears well documented, we examine the accumulated knowledge on the biology and vectorology of AAV, lessons learned from gene therapy clinical trials, and how this information is impacting current vector design and manufacturing with an overall emphasis on biosafety.

The recent reengineering within the health care industry has challenged many assumptions regarding traditional structures and roles. Within a product-line management structure, the traditional viewpoint that those who manage patient care areas must have a nursing background, is an example of one such assumption being challenged. The nursing profession is often seen as the greatest obstacle to the implementation of a product-line management structure and generic manager positions (does not require a nursing background), due to the perceived loss of professional identity. This qualitative study focused on how nursing staff within a chronic care and rehabilitation facility perceived a generic service manager position. Focus groups were conducted in three phases, over a 14 month period of time. The data collected from the focus groups were then coded according to common themes. Each phase was analyzed independently, with the study concluding with an analysis and interpretation of the collective results. The results of this study revealed a significant shift in how the nursing staff perceived their professional identity and accountability in light of the implementation of the generic Service Manager position. Initial reactions of personal and professional vulnerability and resentment were seen to transform into an increased ability to explicitly articulate the role of nursing. L’adénovirus possède plusieurs caractéristiques faisant de ce virus un candidat de choix pour la construction de vecteurs utiles dans les études de génomique fonctionnelle. Dans la majorité de ces applications, on a recours à un vecteur adénoviral de première génération délété de sa région E1. L’utilisation de vecteurs adénoviraux comprend deux maillons faibles : la construction du vecteur et la production subséquente de ce dernier. Le développement de méthodes alternatives est donc nécessaire pour renforcer ces deux maillons, permettant ainsi une utilisation étendue de ces vecteurs. Ce développement va s’articuler sur deux axes : l’ingénierie du vecteur de transfert pour la construction de l’adénovirus recombinant et l’ingénierie d’une lignée cellulaire pour la production du vecteur. En utilisant un vecteur de transfert adénoviral co-exprimant, à partir d’un promoteur régulable à la tétracycline, la protéase de l’adénovirus et une protéine de fluorescence verte (GFP) par l’intermédiaire d’un site d’entrée ribosomal interne (IRES), notre groupe a établi que la sélection positive, via l’expression ectopique de la protéase, est un processus efficace pour la création de librairie d’adénovirus recombinants. Par contre, la diversité atteinte dans ce premier système est relativement faible, environ 1 adénovirus recombinant par 1 000 cellules. Le travail effectué dans le cadre de cette thèse vise à construire un nouveau transfert de vecteur dans lequel l’expression de la protéase sera indépendante de celle du transgène permettant ainsi d’optimiser l’expression de la protéase. Ce travail d’optimisation a permis de réduire le phénomène de transcomplémentation du virus parental ce qui a fait grimper la diversité à 1 virus recombinant par 75 cellules. Ce système a été mis à l’épreuve en générerant une librairie adénovirale antisens dirigée contre la GFP. La diversité de cette librairie a été suffisante pour sélectionner un antisens réduisant de 75% l’expression de la GFP. L’amplification de ce vecteur adénoviral de première génération doit se faire dans une lignée cellulaire exprimant la région E1 telle que les cellules 293. Par contre, un adénovirus de première génération se répliquant dans les cellules 293 peut échanger, par recombinaison homologue, son transgène avec la région E1 de la cellule créant ainsi un adénovirus recombinant réplicatif (RCA), compromettant ainsi la pureté des stocks. Notre groupe a déjà breveté une lignée cellulaire A549 (BMAdE1) exprimant la région E1, mais qui ne peut pas recombiner avec le transgène du virus. Par contre, le niveau de réplication de l’adénovirus dans les BMAdE1 est sous-optimal, à peine 15-30% du niveau obtenu dans les cellules 293. Le travail fait dans le cadre de cette thèse a permis de mettre en évidence qu’une expression insuffisante d’E1B-55K était responsable de la mauvaise réplication du virus dans les BMAdE1. Nous avons produit de nouveaux clones à partir de la lignée parentale via une transduction avec un vecteur lentiviral exprimant E1B-55K. Nous avons confirmé que certains clones exprimaient une plus grande quantité d’E1B-55K et que ces clones amplifiaient de manière plus efficace un vecteur adénoviral de première génération. Ce clone a par la suite été adapté à la culture en suspension sans sérum.

Traditionnellement, les applications orientées objets légataires intègrent différents aspects fonctionnels. Ces aspects peuvent être dispersés partout dans le code. Il existe différents types d’aspects : • des aspects qui représentent des fonctionnalités métiers ; • des aspects qui répondent à des exigences non fonctionnelles ou à d’autres considérations de conception comme la robustesse, la distribution, la sécurité, etc. Généralement, le code qui représente ces aspects chevauche plusieurs hiérarchies de classes. Plusieurs chercheurs se sont intéressés à la problématique de la modularisation de ces aspects dans le code : programmation orientée sujets, programmation orientée aspects et programmation orientée vues. Toutes ces méthodes proposent des techniques et des outils pour concevoir des applications orientées objets sous forme de composition de fragments de code qui répondent à différents aspects. La séparation des aspects dans le code a des avantages au niveau de la réutilisation et de la maintenance. Ainsi, il est important d’identifier et de localiser ces aspects dans du code légataire orienté objets. Nous nous intéressons particulièrement aux aspects fonctionnels. En supposant que le code qui répond à un aspect fonctionnel ou fonctionnalité exhibe une certaine cohésion fonctionnelle (dépendances entre les éléments), nous proposons d’identifier de telles fonctionnalités à partir du code. L’idée est d’identifier, en l’absence des paradigmes de la programmation par aspects, les techniques qui permettent l’implémentation des différents aspects fonctionnels dans un code objet. Notre approche consiste à : • identifier les techniques utilisées par les développeurs pour intégrer une fonctionnalité en l’absence des techniques orientées aspects • caractériser l’empreinte de ces techniques sur le code • et développer des outils pour identifier ces empreintes. Ainsi, nous présentons deux approches pour l’identification des fonctionnalités existantes dans du code orienté objets. La première identifie différents patrons de conception qui permettent l’intégration de ces fonctionnalités dans le code. La deuxième utilise l’analyse formelle de concepts pour identifier les fonctionnalités récurrentes dans le code. Nous expérimentons nos deux approches sur des systèmes libres orientés objets pour identifier les différentes fonctionnalités dans le code. Les résultats obtenus montrent l’efficacité de nos approches pour identifier les différentes fonctionnalités dans du code légataire orienté objets et permettent de suggérer des cas de refactorisation.

Information and communication technologies are the tools that underpin the emerging “Knowledge Society”. Exchange of information or knowledge between people and through networks of people has always taken place. But the ICT has radically changed the magnitude of this exchange, and thus factors such as timeliness of information and information dissemination patterns have become more important than ever.Since information and knowledge are so vital for the all round human development, libraries and institutions that manage these resources are indeed invaluable. So, the Library and Information Centres have a key role in the acquisition, processing, preservation and dissemination of information and knowledge. ln the modern context, library is providing service based on different types of documents such as manuscripts, printed, digital, etc. At the same time, acquisition, access, process, service etc. of these resources have become complicated now than ever before. The lCT made instrumental to extend libraries beyond the physical walls of a building and providing assistance in navigating and analyzing tremendous amounts of knowledge with a variety of digital tools. Thus, modern libraries are increasingly being re-defined as places to get unrestricted access to information in many formats and from many sources.The research was conducted in the university libraries in Kerala State, India. lt was identified that even though the information resources are flooding world over and several technologies have emerged to manage the situation for providing effective services to its clientele, most of the university libraries in Kerala were unable to exploit these technologies at maximum level. Though the libraries have automated many of their functions, wide gap prevails between the possible services and provided services. There are many good examples world over in the application of lCTs in libraries for the maximization of services and many such libraries have adopted the principles of reengineering and re-defining as a management strategy. Hence this study was targeted to look into how effectively adopted the modern lCTs in our libraries for maximizing the efficiency of operations and services and whether the principles of re-engineering and- redefining can be applied towards this.Data‘ was collected from library users, viz; student as well as faculty users; library ,professionals and university librarians, using structured questionnaires. This has been .supplemented by-observation of working of the libraries, discussions and interviews with the different types of users and staff, review of literature, etc. Personal observation of the organization set up, management practices, functions, facilities, resources, utilization of information resources and facilities by the users, etc. of the university libraries in Kerala have been made. Statistical techniques like percentage, mean, weighted mean, standard deviation, correlation, trend analysis, etc. have been used to analyse data.All the libraries could exploit only a very few possibilities of modern lCTs and hence they could not achieve effective Universal Bibliographic Control and desired efficiency and effectiveness in services. Because of this, the users as well as professionals are dissatisfied. Functional effectiveness in acquisition, access and process of information resources in various formats, development and maintenance of OPAC and WebOPAC, digital document delivery to remote users, Web based clearing of library counter services and resources, development of full-text databases, digital libraries and institutional repositories, consortia based operations for e-journals and databases, user education and information literacy, professional development with stress on lCTs, network administration and website maintenance, marketing of information, etc. are major areas need special attention to improve the situation. Finance, knowledge level on ICTs among library staff, professional dynamism and leadership, vision and support of the administrators and policy makers, prevailing educational set up and social environment in the state, etc. are some of the major hurdles in reaping the maximum possibilities of lCTs by the university libraries in Kerala. The principles of Business Process Re-engineering are found suitable to effectively apply to re-structure and redefine the operations and service system of the libraries. Most of the conventional departments or divisions prevailing in the university libraries were functioning as watertight compartments and their existing management system was more rigid to adopt the principles of change management. Hence, a thorough re-structuring of the divisions was indicated. Consortia based activities and pooling and sharing of information resources was advocated to meet the varied needs of the users in the main campuses and off campuses of the universities, affiliated colleges and remote stations. A uniform staff policy similar to that prevailing in CSIR, DRDO, ISRO, etc. has been proposed by the study not only in the university libraries in kerala but for the entire country.Restructuring of Lis education,integrated and Planned development of school,college,research and public library systems,etc.were also justified for reaping maximum benefits of the modern ICTs.

Enterprise Modeling (EM) is currently in operation either as a technique to represent and understand the structure and behavior of the enterprise, or as a technique to analyze business processes, and in many cases as support technique for business process reengineering. However, EM architectures and methods for Enterprise Engineering can also used to support new management techniques like SIX SIGMA, because these new techniques need a clear, transparent and integrated definition and description of the business activities of the enterprise to be able to build up, optimize and operate an successful enterprise. The main goal of SIX SIGMA is to optimize the performance of processes. A still open question is: "What are the adequate Quality criteria and methods to ensure such performance?
