O Efeito da Manipulação Miofascial sobre o Limiar Doloroso em Atletas Durante Período Competitivo

Introduction: The myofascial pain syndrome (SDM) is one of the most common causes of musculoskeletal pain. One of the possible treatments for SDM is the type of physiotherapy myofascial manipulation. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effect of manipulative technique with myofascial pain threshold before and after applying the technique in athletes during competition period. Methods: Participated in the study 62 subjects of both genders, aged between 14 and 38 (19.64 + 4.89), who had myofascial pain syndrome, 32 oh the treatment group and 30 divided equally between control group and the placebo group. All were athletes and operated by the Department of Sport and Leisure in the city of Marilia – SP and were in competitive period. The volunteers were evaluated according to their musculoskeletal symptoms to prove the necessity of performing the technique of myofascial manipulation. Confi rmed the need to assess the pressure pain threshold (LDP) using a digital dynamometer. After the measurement, patients underwent treatment or using the technique of myofascial manipulation, or a sliding surface for the placebo or no treatment for the control group followed by the immediate reassessment of the LDP. Results: The results were normalized by Kolmogrov-Smirnov test (KS). Through the ANOVA test found no differences between the initial LDP thresholds between groups. To compare pre and post LDP of the three groups we used the paired t test. Signifi cant difference (p=0.0001) between the values of pain threshold before and after application of myofascial manipulation for the treated group and not signifi cant for the control group (p=0.45) and placebo (p=0.16). Conclusion: We conclude then that the myofascial manipulation technique is able to increase pain threshold after micro-musculoskeletal injuries in athletes in competitive period.

Filme O Jardim Secreto: uma experiência com a leitura das legendas cinematográficas

By analyzing the pedagogical practices in respect of acts of reading in the current context of school education institutions vital, it is clear that they are linked to decipher. But it is believed that for the student to learn to read is necessary dialogue with the text, attribute meaning to writing and comprehension. When thinking about the use of technologies such as film subtitles, it is believed that they allow readers to form since they require a quick read without using the decryption with the attribution of meaning to follow the entire course of the film. This paper aims to present and analyze a film session the project subtitled and dubbed films in public schools and training of the reader, which investigates the contributions of cinematic legends in training readers in elementary school. In this paper we present data on the session of the film The Secret Garden, with students between six and ten years old in a public school in Marilia, SP. The session took place in film school, in a room adapted. When analyzing the results, we observed that reading subtitles contributes to children are not attached to decipher, because we used reading strategies to understand the plot and tried to dialogue with the text. This approach not only contributes reader for reading the screens, but also in fixed supports, for developing specific tactics for the scrolling text which can be applied to the texts on the immobilized support.

Controle de qualidade e levantamento radiométrico em aparelho de Raios-X médico convencional

Along with the advance of technology, in terms of the expansion of medical exams that uses the ionizing radiation for diagnosis, there is also the concern about quality control for maintaining quality in radiographic imaging and for delivering low dose to the patient. Based on the Federal Order 453 of the Secretariat of Health Surveillance, which takes account of the practical and justification of individual medical exposures, the optimization of radiological protection, limitation of individual dose, and the prevention of accidents, were done through this paper radiodiagnostic tests on medical equipment in order to accept it or not, according to SVS-453. Along with the help and support of P&R Consulting and Medical Physics Marilia, SP, were made Quality Control and Radiometric Control in equipment from various cities across the state of São Paulo. The equipment discussed in this work is classified as conventional X-ray. According to the Federal Order SVS-453, the quality control in the program of quality assurance should include the following minimum set of constancy tests, with following minimum frequency: biennial tests for representative values of dose given to the patients of radiography and CT performed in the service; annual tests for accuracy of the indicator tube voltage (kVp), accuracy of exposure time, half-value layer, aligning the central axis of the beam of x-ray tube, performance (mGy / mA.min.m²), linearity of the rate of kerma on air with the mAs, reproducibility of the kerma on air rates, reproducibility of the automatic exposure, focal spot size, integrity of accessories and clothing for individual protection; semiannually for collimation system accuracy; weekly for temperature processing system and sensitometry processing system. Esa tesis presenta un breve histórico sobre el sistema bancario brasileño, buscando entender las lógicas espaciales en tres ciudades paulistas - Marília, Ribeirão Preto y São Carlos - asociando el abordaje, sobretodo, al contexto de las ciudades intermedias, que es el caso de las las ciudades estudiadas en esta investigación. Realizamos este análisis a través del trabajo con algunas hipótesis sobre lógicas espaciales, refuerzo de la centralidad urbana y nuevas tendencias, con el fin de comprender posibles prácticas espaciales resultantes de reestruturacción urbana y de la ciudad, tomando en consideración que la fuerte presencia de distintas agencias, junto a los espacios comerciales de las ciudades, confirma la importancia comercial que estas ciudades tienen, revelando relaciones entre su ubicación y las posibilidades de atraer usuarios. In this paper, I intend to analyze how Plato's Philebus takes up some specific topics of Platonic dialectic and employs them to understand how the cognitive soul can be affected by false pleasures, false opinions, and false images. This study aims to criticize certain modern readings of Platonism, chiefly esoteric theory based on Plato's unwritten doctrine, which stipulate a revision of the Platonic theory of forms and defend the emergence of a new ontology explained by two principles, the One and the unlimited Dyad of great and small, conceived both as formal principle and material principle.

Dilthey: The hermeneutics of life and the universal aspirations of pedagogy

Dilthey claimed that first psychology and then hermeneutics played the foundational role for his philosophy of life, whose main practical goal is to develop a pedagogy or theory of education. Pedagogy needs help from h ethics to establish its ends, and from psychology to indicate it means. This paper intends to show the relationship between Dilthey's hermeneutics of life and his pedagogy. Dilthey's philosophy of life, in so far it adopts the hermeneutical procedure, engages in the understanding of or the search for the meaning of human socio-historical creations, by adopting a special type of relationship between parts and whole. It is exactly within this hermeneutical balance that we propose to extinguish any indication of a rupture, breach, or contradiction between the quest for universal principles of human behavior and :Dilthey's defense of the impossibility of constructing human moral tasks by means of universal principles. Dilthey began his ethics lectures at the University of Berlin in 1890. These lectures, published in 1958 by Herman Nohl in volume X of Dilthey's collected works, indicate the direction of the trajectory by which formative or social ethics are consolidated as a historical solution for reaching universal principles that can guide human purposes. This trajectory is a result of the distinctively human exercise of self-reflection, by means of which we can fulfill our destiny of manifesting and exteriorizing in time the immanent energy of the absolute spirit. We wish to show that it is possible that such a pedagogy can respect its universal task of orienting the historical development of the younger generation without directing this process by means of fixed and rigid aims.

Caracterização do clima urbano em Teodoro Sampaio/SP: uma introdução

Este estudo teve como objetivo principal investigar as características da temperatura e umidade relativa do ar intra-urbana e da zona rural próxima a Teodoro Sampaio, SP, cidade de pequeno porte que está localizada a 22º 53' 25 S e 52º 16' 75 W, no extremo Oeste do Estado de São Paulo/Brasil. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados miniabrigos meteorológicos. Os miniabrigos meteorológicos foram equipados com psicrômetros e distribuídos em sete pontos, sendo seis na área urbana e um na área rural, sendo que as coletas de dados foram realizadas às 7h, 9h, 15h e 21h. As coletas de dados aconteceram em dias representativos de janeiro de 2005 - verão; e em julho de 2005 - inverno. Esse estudo concluiu que Teodoro Sampaio, cidade de pequeno porte com aproximadamente 16.000 habitantes, já possui um clima urbano específico, conseqüência da ocupação do solo e das funcionalidades urbanas, o que acabou gerando para a cidade ilhas de calor e de frescor.
