Here we present an exploratory study on the subject of Physics and Music, discussing how this issue is addressed in two high schools belonging to state education network in Rio Claro â SP city. Initially, we conducted a critical analysis of the books that are used as the main tool to support the teacher in the classroom. Alert this analysis , it is possible to realize low-level content when we bring the topic into the classroom. Based in this analysis and an experimental class that was held as part of the course Teaching Practice and Supervised , the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity - UNESP Campus Rio Claro was an elaborate educational proposal related to Physics Teaching and Music with a thematic strategy different from the traditional approach , considering the use of experiments built with low cost (Ferreira and Ramos , 2008) materials , which can be an alternative to improve the teaching learning process student , because these experiments stimulate and provide a more dynamic and closer interaction with the objects class. We also seek to study, in greater depth , aspects of wave physics, discussing how a wave propagates in a string with its two fixed ends , which besides being a subject that is usually covered in books , is a phenomenon that is present in string instruments

In this work we present a didactic proposal to use song lyrics for Physics Teaching aimed to High School level. Based on the work proposed by Zanetic (1990) that Physics is also Culture, we understand that its influence extends beyond the scientific boundaries, reaching spheres of knowledge where its presence is less obvious, such as the arts, especially Music. Based on proposals for Ramos and Gomes (2013), activities were conducted in two groups of second year of high school in the city of Rio Claro, each with an approach. In one of the classes the students received as material the lyrics of the songs printed and the other students were given a table along with the lyrics. In these materials the students identified physical concepts present in the songs Nuclear Shelter of the São Paulo band Premeditando the Breque and Manhattan Project of the Canadian band Rush. We observed during activities an improvement in the participation of students in theoretical discussions, probably due to a more favorable context for students to express themselves assigned by us to the activities with the songs. After performing the activities we demonstrated that you can enter the Music in the classroom not only as entertainment but as an aid in research and understanding of physical concepts

A fruição artística por meio da música é um modo privilegiado de conhecimento e aproximação entre indivíduos de culturas distintas. A música pode enriquecer o trabalho pedagógico, facilitando a compreensão dos fatos históricos e atuando na formação de sujeitos críticos e conscientes, agentes de seu próprio conhecimento, em um plano que vai além do discurso verbal. A área de música tem uma função importante a cumprir. A música situa o fazer artístico do homem histórico brasileiro, que conhece suas características tanto particulares, tal como se mostram na criação de uma arte brasileira, quanto universais, tal como se revelam no ponto de encontro do fazer dos artistas de todos os tempos, que sempre inauguram formas de tornar o presente explicável. Pode-se concluir da importância da música na prática escolar, que deve ter espaço garantido nas políticas educacionais. O objetivo desta pesquisa, nessa perspectiva, é verificar as recomendações dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN-Arte) fazem quanto ao estudo da música e em que medida tais recomendações se expressam na prática educacional de escolas de Ensino Fundamental. Para tanto, explora-se, como referencial teórico escolhido, os estudos de Montanari (1988) e Barbosa (1983). à uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa e se desenvolve por meio de estudos bibliográficos relacionados à temática, incluindo o PCN-Arte, e também da coleta de dados entre professores polivalentes. Os dados obtidos são objeto de análise de conteúdo, de acordo com as orientações de Szymanski, Almeida & Prandini (2004), sendo que as categorias examinadas emergiram dos depoimentos dos entrevistados. O estudo enfatiza o quanto é preciso avançar nas políticas educacionais em nosso País.

The present study focuses on the development of pedagogical activities in Music Teaching, aiming to enhance the accessibility of musical knowledge for both deaf and hearing students, using a bilingual approach in regular schools. Few studies address Music and Deafness, and those that do focus exclusively on the context of special education, and specifically the deaf student, which signals the urgent need for conducting research on this issue in the context of inclusion â empirically and carried out on school grounds. Therefore, we developed our study at a Natal City Public Elementary school, in a class of 6th graders, comprised of 37 students, 3 of whom were deaf. The objective of the study was to develop a proposal for a pedagogical intervention in Music Teaching, using a bilingual approach, with deaf and hearing students, in the context of regular school classes. The research is based on the theoretical framework presented in Penna (2010), Brito (2001) and Fonterrada (2008), with reference to music education, and Haguiara-Cervellini (2003), Finck (2009) and Louro (2006), with reference to inclusion in teaching music. To achieve this objective, we developed a proposal for intervention based on the methodological dictates of intervention research, presented in studies by Jobim and Souza (2011) in light of the theoretical concepts posited by Mikhail Bakhtin, which assert that knowledge is produced through interaction between subjects, dialogically and through alterity. This methodology was carried out in pedagogical workshops, conceived as spaces for the construction of knowledge, mobilizing participants to engage in ludic activities of musical experimentation. Content covered in these workshops focused on Pulse and Rhythm â basic elements in music education â demonstrating that awareness about and sensitivity to these elements is not limited to the auditory sensory perception of the student, once the entire body is used as an agent of acquisition and expression. Thus, we began the trajectory of our research from the starting point of the identification and perception of âžPulseâŸ, using oneâŸs own body and the body of classmates, representing it through physical expressions and movement. Subsequently, this Pulse was extended from the body to a percussion instrument, and was then represented graphically as lines of rhythm, constituting a process of reading and writing; ultimately the intervention culminated in the class presentation with the musical group De Pau e Lata (Stick and Can). In our analysis, faced with the challenges and possibilities presented in our study, findings showed satisfactory results with regard to the participation of all of the students: completing the activities proposed in the class, asking questions when they did not understand, positioning themselves when they thought it necessary, expressing opinions about the work completed, evaluating the workshops given, interacting, helping in the activities, constructing knowledge collaterally, experimenting and experiencing musical elements through the body in activities that applied to both groups (deaf and hearing) in the one class. These indications elucidate the viability of teaching music to deaf and hearing students, using a bilingual approach, and based on experiences with the body and communicative and cultural specificities involved, confirming, as well, the role of Sign Language as a mediator in the teaching/learning process.

This research aims to investigate the use of Project based learning as a method for teaching music in Elementary Schools located in Natal, RN. Its main objective is to analyze how this method is used during the classes of music at school context and which are its implications to the process of music learning acquirement. The specific objectives comprise: gathering the music teachers in preschool that work with project based learning as a method for their classes; identifying how the theory meets their practice; and analyzing how project based learning contributes to the learning process of music within schools. The main scholars adopted as theoretical reference were Boutinet (2002), Hernández (1998; 200), Antunes (2001), Cavalcante (2009), from Education area; and Penna (2008), Fonterrada (2008), Queiroz (2012), regarding Musical Education. Such choice was made in views of identifying the relationship and how project based pedagogy associates to the current Brazil school curriculum. For data collection, mixed methodological strategies were used, of qualitative and quantitative approaches that are complementary for better meeting the research needs. By applying a questionnaire, it was sought to identify the music schools and teachers who reported working with project based learning. Based on these results were selected two schools, one private school and one public school to perform a participant observation in two groups following the development of music classes based on project based learning, and the information were recorded in a diary of audio and video recordings. The results of this work show that the Project Education is a methodology frequently used by music teachers from Natal/ RN contributing to the integration of content and subjects and engages students in activities awakening interest and contributing to the development of music education at school. However, it was identified that many of the conceptions of the teachers about projects are confused by ambiguities from the use of the term in different areas and in various theoretical perspectives as well as the lack of publications that address the music education through the project based learning. It is hoped that this study provides discussions and research about the project based learning applied to music education in elementary school.

O presente relatório refere-se ao Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e apresenta-se dividido em duas partes. A parte I corresponde à dimensão reflexiva na qual se apresenta uma reflexão acerca do percurso desenvolvido ao longo das Práticas Pedagógicas nos vários contextos: Creche, Jardim-de-Infância e 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Esta parte encontra-se estruturada de acordo com um conjunto de referentes: observação, planificação e intervenção, dificuldades e, por último, aprendizagens. Além disso, inclui-se o papel reflexivo e investigativo do educador e professor. A parte II apresenta a dimensão investigativa referente a um estudo realizado numa turma de 3.º ano de escolaridade, que incidiu na temática da integração pedagógica da Música no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da área curricular de Português. Esta investigação dispõe de um caráter qualitativo, uma vez que se pretendeu compreender as potencialidades da integração pedagógica da Música no processo de ensino e aprendizagem do Português. Após a organização e análise dos dados recolhidos pode sugerir-se que a utilização da canção, enquanto instrumento de integração, proporcionou aos alunos diversas aprendizagens no domínio da Música e na área de Português.
