Health care waste (HCW) is the type of waste that results from activities performed in health care services during care provision to humans or animals. Presently, according to RDC 306/04, issued in 2004 by Anvisa, and Resolution no. 358/05, by CONAMA, waste groups have the following classification: Group A (biological waste), Group B (chemical waste), Group C (waste containing radionucleotides), Group D (common waste) and Group E (piercing and cutting waste). In Brazil, 149 tons of wastes are collected every day, and HCW corresponds to approximately 1% to 3 % of that total. An efficient way to adequately manage HCW is through the Health Care Waste Management Plan (HCWMP), and it is possible to reduce the risk posed by certain materials in addition to ensuring disposal in an ecologically correct and economical fashion. According to the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), the management process enables health care establishments to adequately manage waste. Hence, there is greater control and reduction in the health risks caused by infectious or special waste, in addition to facilitated recycling, treatment, storage, transport and final disposal of solid hospital waste in an environmentally safe fashion. To evaluate the management of HCW of Groups A and D from the Intensive Care Unit of the University Emergency Hospital - FMB - UNESP in the city of Botucatu according to the guidelines presently in force. The waste flow was followed up, and during four random days in the month of September 2011, waste was quantified by estimating daily and monthly values, according to its classification. : In 2011, the University hospital has produced an average of 57,676.8 kg/month of biological and common waste. The increasing degradation of the environment and the depletion of natural resources, caused by indiscriminate production practices, by current and unlimited human needs and also misconceptions that natural resources are inexhaustible, make current and future environment situation, a constant concern of national and world leaders. With the purpose to confront these issues and to qualify the cities on the environmental situation in the state of São Paulo, the Department of the Environment created, in 2007, the Program “Município VerdeAzul. The growing need for organizations to make themselves present on the Internet, the study aimed to demonstrate the importance of public relations activity in crisis management and analysis of the crisis in Americanas.com site. It also aims to analyze the electronic scene, highlighting their implications for consumer relations in e-commerce. In addition, as a consequence of conflicts, settles a loss situation, financial and reputation. A crisis begins with planning and communication failures, it is clear that public relations is essential in business today, as interest in integrating their knowledge and opinions, and maintaining a global view of the environment in which it operates. Health Care Waste (HCW) represents 1%, and it has presently gained a lot of importance. Adequate management is one of the great challenges to be faced by health care centers. It has gained distinction and been widely discussed by members of the sectors involved with sanitation, public health and environmental issues due to waste physical, chemical biological characteristics, which pose potential risk to the environment and public health. The present study aims at evaluating HCW internal management by following all its phases, determining indicators, classifying and quantifying, establishing production rates (kg /patient/day) for the sector and designing materials to disseminate appropriate HCW disposal in the Emergency Room of the UNESP University Hospital in the city of Botucatu according to the guidelines presently in force. : From June to October 2011, the waste flow was observed from its production to final disposal. Four weight measurements were performed on four consecutive days in the month of August by using a properly calibrated (in grams) digital scale at the times scheduled for collection of the produced waste. Hence, the daily and monthly amounts were estimated according to their classification. All the waste packaged in the bags in garbage cans in the Emergency Room for a 24-hour period was considered to be a sample. Separation was not adequately performed in that sector, and waste from Group A was mixed with that from Group D. The amount of infectious waste produced in the sector corresponded to 87.80 %, common waste to 10.93 % and recyclable waste to 1.27%. The mean daily HCW production was of 123.300 kg/day, and the total monthly production was of 3,822 kg/month, which was distributed as follows: Group A 3,355,750 kg/month; Group D 417,570 kg/month and recyclables 48,670 kg/month. Collaborative Systems are designed to support individuals in order to solve a problem together, or cooperatively (or collaboratively). Such systems have the advantage of not requiring the presence in the same location of the participants. The basis of any Collaborative System is communication, where users interact with each other in order to exchange information. Communication among individuals is accomplished through collaborative tools such as chat, email, document repository, etc.. Using these tools, companies can reduce operational costs, saving on travel and accommodation of its employees to attend meetings. The project members only need a computer with internet access to use collaborative tools. Project management is essential to the quality of the nal product. To perform a proper management, methodologies must be applied using methods, tools and procedures. There are some phases that are considered generic for all software process models, they are: de nition, development, maintenance and activity to support the software process. In this paper is described a platform for project management using the concepts and features of Collaborative Systems. The goal of this platform is to unify various collaborative tools (such as chat and document repository) in a project management system. Using the system, it becomes possible to manage projects, and the ability to maintain an active constant communication between members of each project

Objectives: conduct a systematic review of national and international literature, to classify the types of production, comparing the two literatures and synthesize knowledge in the area. Method: Systematic Review of Literature, in the databases LILACS, CINAHL and MEDLINE for selection of articles in their entirety, the data extracted from the articles selected were: the study of bibliographic information (title, author, journal, place of study and year of publication), and general information (multidisciplinary production or specific area, language, type of study, type of population and contributions of the study). The categories established for classification of publications were: raising the cost of procedures/ interventions, economic evaluation of specific intervention, inclusion of nursing in the economic context, using cost as an important variable in the study. Results: The study included 39 publications, with 31% of national production and the remaining 69%, internationally. Most publications were classified according to category of economic evaluation of specific intervention, followed by the category of raising the cost of procedure / intervention, which fits the majority of national production. Human resources is shaped as an important variable for obtaining cost studies that proposed to make this calculation. Conclusion: The production of literature in nursing cost management is relevant in number of publications within the proposed period and is directed to different areas within this theme. There are significant differences in national and international literature: these last use more accurate methods, have more content theorized, use more the economic evaluation tools and related more costs with a amplified context. The production of such knowledge should continue as far as possible and putting that knowledge relating the current reality, in order to amplify the field of nursing and add value

Os avanços técnológicos da última década permitiram um crescimento nas aplicações militares de veículos autónomos. Com o objetivo de explorar o seu potêncial na vigilância de instalações militares, a Academia Militar encomendou o desenvolvimento e construção de um protótipo funcional de um veículo autónomo. Nesta dissertação os sistemas de tração, travagem e direção desse protótipo são abordados. A literatura atual foca-se em aplicações comerciais de veículos rodoviários, onde a autonomia é o principal problema. No entanto, equipas não profissionais lidam antes disso com dificuldades em capturar uma visão clara do projecto e fracos procedimentos de segurança. Uma moto-quatro com um módulo de baterias elétricas e atuadores embarcados para os sistemas da tração, travagem e direção, assim como os mecanismos de controlo e interface, é aqui proposta e avaliada, numa abordagem focada na flexibilidade de desenho e na segurança dos utilizadores. As limitações da solução proposta são identificadas e são propostas correções.

A gestão do conhecimento (GC) é uma das recentes abordagens da administração contemporânea, cujo foco engloba o conceito de conhecimento como recurso estratégico, sendo que suas técnicas, práticas e iniciativas gerenciais encontram-se em momento de consolidação. Muitos estudos acadêmicos sobre gestão do conhecimento estão sendo realizados no campo da Administração, com o objetivo de sistematizar os conceitos, as práticas e as contribuições para o poder de competição das empresas (NONAKA e TAKEUCHI, 1997; EISENHARDT e SANTOS, 2000; PROBST, RAUB e ROMHARDT, 2002; DALKIR, 2005). Esta pesquisa objetivou classificar as empresas do setor elétricoeletrônico brasileiro de acordo com o estágio de institucionalização da gestão do conhecimento, bem como verificar as contribuições das práticas de GC para seu poder competitivo. Foi realizado um survey a partir da listagem de 553 empresas elétricas e eletrônicas atuantes no Brasil e participantes da Associação Brasileira da Indústria Elétrica e Eletrônica (ABINEE), tendo sido averiguada uma amostra formada por 56 empresas respondentes. Os principais resultados encontrados foram: a) as empresas pesquisadas estão nos estágios iniciais de institucionalização de GC e b) as contribuições para o poder de competição, realizadas com adoção das práticas de GC, tinham como objetivo fortalecer a cultura de compartilhamento e disseminação do conhecimento, bem como, criar o ambiente favorável para o trabalho em equipe.

In the operational context of industrial processes, alarm, by definition, is a warning to the operator that an action with limited time to run is required, while the event is a change of state information, which does not require action by the operator, therefore should not be advertised, and only stored for analysis of maintenance, incidents and used for signaling / monitoring (EEMUA, 2007). However, alarms and events are often confused and improperly configured similarly by developers of automation systems. This practice results in a high amount of pseudo-alarms during the operation of industrial processes. The high number of alarms is a major obstacle to improving operational efficiency, making it difficult to identify problems and increasing the time to respond to abnormalities. The main consequences of this scenario are the increased risk to personal safety, facilities, environment deterioration and loss of production. The aim of this paper is to present a philosophy for setting up a system of supervision and control, developed with the aim of reducing the amount of pseudo-alarms and increase reliability of the information that the system provides. A real case study was conducted in the automation system of the offshore production of hydrocarbons from Petrobras in Rio Grande do Norte, in order to validate the application of this new methodology. Identifica os riscos de perda de documentos eletrônicos de caráter arquivístico em uma organização, tomando por base um estudo de caso na Câmara dos Deputados. Analisa as diversas origens desses riscos na instituição : visão estratégica do problema, monitoração e auditoria, treinamento, conservação e obsolescência tecnológica, políticas e responsabilidades, aspectos técnicos, administrativos e culturais, sistemas eletrônicos de gestão arquivística de documentos, conhecimento de normas e padrões.

A possibilidade de automação de processos de trabalho de contratação de serviços de TI na administração pública e o consequente uso de documentos digitais para registrar tais processos trazem novos desafio e incertezas que deverão ser tratadas no âmbito normativo e de boas práticas. O artigo propõe seis questões relacionadas à gestão arquivística de documentos digitais utilizados em processos de contratação de serviços de TIC. Para cada questão, foram identificados o contexto tecnológico e normativo da questão, as principais referências normativas de melhores práticas aplicáveis à questão com observações apontando lacunas relativas à aplicação e as possíveis propostas para responder à questão.
