O argumento dos opostos e a hipótese sobre imortalidade no fédon de Platão

Plato, in his Phaedo, develops an investigation concerning the relationship between opposites. The account of Socrates s historical death (57 a 60 a / 116 a - 118), the palaios logos (60 b 70 c), the reciprocal generation between opposites (70 c 72 e), the recollection argument (77 d 80 e), the reciprocal exclusion between opposites (95 e 107 a) and the myth (107 b 116 a), are all instruments to define death for the philosopher. The core of this research, or the argument of the opposites in both its modes of articulation: double generation (70 c 72 e) and double exclusion of opposites (103 a), when added to the recollection argument (72 c d) becomes decisive in discerning both the real cause of generation and the understanding of what occurs in the process of exclusion between opposites (70 c 72 e)

Crítica ao fundacionismo cartesiano com base no argumento contra a linguagem privada

This assignment ains to prove the pertinency of using the wittgenstein´s argument against private language as a criticism to cartesian fundacionism. Therefore, I want to demonstrate in the first chaper the conceptual viability of facing the cartesian argument of cogito not as a simple silogism but as an exemple of a private experience (process of thinking). At the second chaper, the subordination of the argument against private language give us the idea that rules can only be followed by means of corrections givem by a linguistic community that is external to the private subject, in a way to be unviable the assumption that is possible to name an internal experience without searching external rules of the use of terms. At the chaper 3 the pertinency of the hypothesis raised by A. Kenny, about the overtaking of the argument against private language can be extended to the idea of epistemic and ontologic privacy that would lend validity to the fundacion present at the argument at the cartesian cogito. In oder to become evident the pertinency of use of Wittgenstein´s argument agaist Descartes´ fundation, it´s necessary, at the chaper 3, to demonstrate the impertinency of the objection to the A. Kenny´s hypothesis, based on the experiency of the thought of the brain at the recipient, to make clear the incompatibility existing between the cartesian idea of cogito and Wittgenstein´s notion that language is an activitie followed by rules, wich correction criterion may be external and intersubjective

No presente estudo, focalizamos as narrativas Fazendo Ana Paz (1991) e Retratos de Carolina (2002) de Lygia Bojunga, verificando os modos como a autora incorpora a materialização da autoria implícita, ou seja, a projeção da categoria autoral no universo diegético, instaurando, assim, um jogo mimético entre realidade e ficção.

Métrica y orden de palabras en griego antiguo : la cuestión del segundo argumento

A pesar de la ausencia de hablantes nativos, el griego cuenta con fuentes secundarias que permiten estudiar su estructura prosódica. En este artículo combino el estudio del orden de palabras y de la métrica de los trímetros yámbicos con el objetivo de ver cuál es la relación entre el verbo y el segundo argumento en términos de posición en la oración y de prosodia. Se mostrará que hay una tendencia a que el segundo argumento aparezca junto al verbo y a que formen parte de una única unidad prosódica. La tendencia es mayor con pronombres personales que con sintagmas nominales, que pueden aparecer separados si son complejos y extensos.
