Gênero ou sexualidade?: (re) produção das identidades homoeróticas masculinas no cinema de massa

Homosexuality has been gaining strength in Cinema from the late twentieth century, when there is a dissemination of freedoms around the peripheral or marginal sexualities. Based on this assumption, it was formulated in the dissertation work, an analysis of the relationship between Cinema and Sexuality in order to understand, describe, reflect and analyze possible changes around the performative behaviors of male homosexual from the introduction of them in film production, arising from the mass culture industry. These productions are located in three different decades. In this case, the Cinema has not only the reproductive character of realities, but also a producing agent and consolidating them. The methodology applied was discourse analysis of three film works, namely La Cage aux Folles (1978), In & Out (1997) and Boat Trip (2002). The image, research object of this work, is developed by a mass culture that will produce mass identities which is characterized by crystallization of clichés around the gay world

Inscrição discursiva da subjetividade homoafetiva na G Magazine

This thesis, which is entitled Registration discourse of subjectivity homo affective in G Magazine, is proposed to describe / interpret modes of subjectivity that is set in the discourse of homo affective confessions, recorded in letters addressed to G Magazine. The study is based on the theories of Discourse Analysis French, with a focus in the discussions Foucaultian remarkably discursive practices that produce meanings about the processes of subjectivity and sexuality. Methodologically, the research is of appreciative/qualitative character and falls in the field of Applied Linguistics (LA), at a press that the historical and cultural reality of the subject, establishing dialogues with many other fields of knowledge, which deal of the subject matter of speech and sexuality. Data analysis indicates that the magazine G Magazine works as a discursive space, where individuals on condition that homosexual, take it as the place that it gives security to talk to you, it's worrying, because the nature of the journal it suggests a belonging to the same discursive formation - that of homo affective . Thus, some of which are felt constructed for the investigation of the letters selected for this study showed that the forms of subjectivity of such homo affective are emerging in the game of the bans, the other is that as a subject of sexuality and to materialize in operation the confession. These homo affective, in a gesture of incessant registration of alternatives to be subject to its own truth of their sexuality, to seek his party in the case, the psychologist, a referral, a "light" that can guide them in an attempt to get rid of the forms of to subject. Gêneros, sexualidades e Educação Física escolar: um início de conversa

Physical Education establishes relations about sex-gender-sexuality by its programs. Thinking approaches among gender and sexuality questions from scholar Physical Education is a productive challenge. Inspired in post-structuralism studies, we problematized dialogues among body, gender, identity and body movement culture. Bodily our sports practices educate citizens beyond their performances, health and beauty. Their "truths" produce gender and sexuality brands in a culture process of branding differences. Cultural events are related in binary categories as good-bad, beautiful-ugly, thin-fat, similar-different, normal-unnatural, man-women, heterosexual-homosexual, that don't let to observe the multiplicity of people educate. We must to understand the pedagogical speeches about bodies as constituents of their own bloods.

Processos de constituição de subjetividades em práticas discursivas institucionalizadas: entre a disciplina, a performatividade e a biopolítica

Esta es una pesquisa de naturaleza cualitativa de abordaje socio-histórico, con procedimientos etnográficos. Tiene como temática prácticas a constitución de subjetividades en relaciones interdiscursivas entre los discursos propalados por la Medicina Legal con prácticas discursivas de futuros(as) profesionales de la educación. En consecuencia de ese objeto de investigación, establecemos como cuestión central: ¿en qué medida prácticas discursivas producidas por la Medicina Legal producen sentidos en enunciados de alumnos y alumnas del curso de Pedagogía de UFRN, de modo a constituir subjetividades pautadas por el trastorno, por la anormalidad y por la enfermedad? En ese sentido, el objetivo de este trabajo es analizar prácticas discursivas institucionalizadas que constituyen subjetividades del género y sexualidad pautadas por efectos de sentidos que traducen las sexualidades disidentes como trastorno, perversión y anormalidad. Como herramientas teórico-analíticas actualizamos, principalmente, algunas reflexiones de Michel Foucault concernientes a la temática del biopoder y de la disciplina, algunas teorizaciones advenidas de los estudios Queer y nociones del Análisis del Discurso de línea francesa, como el discurso, memoria discursiva e interdiscurso. Los resultados de esta pesquisa demuestran que las subjetividades son constituidas en un proceso que alía el lenguaje de prácticas médicas, científicas, al habla de nuestros(as) colaboradores(as), en una relación interdiscursiva. Así, las subjetividades se constituyen pautadas por la anormalidad, por el trastorno, por la medicalización de las conductas y de los deseos. Todavía, percibimos el cruce de conductas biopolíticas y disciplinarizadoras en ese proceso de constitución de subjetividades, por medio de sanciones y posibles perjuicios que esos individuos anormales causan a la sociedad, justificadas tanto por los discursos de la Medicina Legal, como de los(as) colaboradores(as) de la pesquisa.

Resiliência no trabalho contemporâneo: promoção e/ou desgaste da saúde mental

Este estudo teórico resgata a concepção processual e contextual de resiliência, a qual compreende esse fenômeno enquanto relação complexa entre indivíduo e ambiente na produção de fatores de risco e no provimento de fatores protetores da subjetividade do indivíduo, buscando aplicá-la à realidade organizacional, haja vista que o mundo do trabalho contemporâneo demanda uma força de trabalho específica, qual seja, o trabalhador flexível, polivalente, sujeito a mudanças - portanto, um trabalhador resiliente. A partir dessas considerações, realiza-se um processo de reflexão sobre as situações em que a resiliência pode ser promotora de saúde mental, bem como acerca dos contextos que contribuem para o processo de adoecimento do trabalhador, buscando aventar possibilidades de atuação do profissional psicólogo diante de um contexto de trabalho adverso, considerando-se que o principal objetivo dessa atuação profissional é garantir a proteção/promoção da saúde e qualidade de vida no ambiente de trabalho.

Reproductive and sexual behavior changes in male rats exposed perinatally to picrotoxin

Previous studies in rats suggested that picrotoxin, a GABA(A) receptor antagonist, may cause long-term changes in male reproductive physiology and behavior in rats exposed during prenatal and postnatal periods. The present study has further examined this phenomenon. Wistar rat dams were dosed subcutaneously with 0.75 mg/kg picrotoxin in saline, or vehicle alone, during the perinatal period (day 19 of gestation, immediately after parturition, and once a day during the first 5 days of lactation). Birth weight and sexual maturation of pups were unchanged; however, plasma testosterone levels and sexual behavior was altered in male offspring. Although fertile, these males showed altered mating behavior in terms of a decrease in the mean number of mounts during a 30-min observation period with normal females. Some showed homosexual behavior when castrated and pretreated with exogenous estrogen. These findings suggest that perinatal exposure to picrotoxin alters sexual dimorphism in the developing rat brain, manifesting as altered reproductive performance and sexual behavior of males. 5alpha-reductase 2 inhibition impairs brain defeminization of male rats: Reproductive aspects

The present study was carried out to determine whether 5alpha-reductase 2 (5alpha-R2) metabolic pathway plays a key role in brain sexual differentiation. The inhibition of 5alpha-R2 by finasteride (20 mg/kg/day) from gestational day 19 to postnatal day 5 has long-term effects on sexual behavior and reproductive physiology detected only in adult life. Sexual maturation assessed by timing of preputial separation was unchanged. Finasteride-treated males were able to mate with untreated females which became pregnant but exhibited increased rate of pre-implantation loss. The subfertility observed was probably due to abnormally shaped sperm, since the sperm number was not altered. While plasma testosterone was enhanced, LH levels were not changed. The copulatory potential was not affected and all finasteride-treated rats presented male sexual behavior. Despite this, 53% of them showed homosexual behavior when pretreated with estradiol, suggesting an incomplete brain defeminization. These results indicate that 5alpha-R2 acts in brain sexual differentiation of male rats. Moreover, we suggest that 5alpha-R2 not only produces essential metabolites that act together with estradiol in brain sexual differentiation but also protects the brain from the damaging effects of estradiol excess. Práticas de cura místico-religiosas, psicoterapia e subjetividade contemporânea

Nous avons analysé les résultats d'une recherché sur les pratiques de guérison mystico-religieuses (chez les Églises Évangéliques et Catholique Renovée, et chez l'Oumbanda). Ainsi que leur comparaison avec le traitement fourni, chez les Ambulatoires de Santé Mentale publiques, aux individus se plaignant de souffrance psychique. L'analyse statistique a révélé que les pratiques de guérison mystico-religieuses sont efficaces à la solution des problèmes de ceux qui les ont cherché, en surmontant, dans le court délai, l'efficacité obtenue par les pratiques ambulatoriales. Un des principaux moyens d'efficacité des pratiques de guérison mystico-religieuses consiste dans l'offre de sens de diverses nuances, d'où se ressort le sens radical de teneur imaginaire, qui implique en des adhésions institutionelles du type fanatique ou ritualistique en bonne partie des cas. Les pratiques de guérison mystico-religieuses semblent fonctioner comme des orthopédies des maladies de l'individualisme contemporain, en réinstallant, par des moyens syntoniques, quelque fonctionalité de la catégorie individu. Comme suite de l'analyse, nous arrivons à l'hypothèse sur l'existence d'une Culture du Mysticisme en état avancé de formation dans le contexte brésilien, comme conséquence des caractéristiques culturelles et des effets de la perturbation des rapports du sujet avec le domaine du symbolique, dans les sociétés de consommation mondialisées à exclusion sociale accentuée et affectées par une importante crise de sens, conséquence de l'ébranlement des idéaux les plus basilaires du libéralisme.

O tempo de trabalho em sua dimensão subjetiva

Cet article expose les résultats d une recherche scientifique ayant d abord conçu la manière dont les coopératives de travail, géerées par une Économie Solidaire, pourraient se présenter comme un espace d expression de subjectivité du travailleur associé. À partir de la précision des objetifs, on y a poursuivi à la recherche d une coopéerative étant réglée d après les principes de l Économie Solidaire. Après avoir examiné de diverses coopératives, il a été conçu que CooperSol s est au fur et à mesure constituée un partenaire avantageux et s est également montrée grâce aux observations et témoignages étant un espace d expression de la subjectivité du travailleur coopéré concernant l autogestion, le temps de travail et la création d une culture solidaire. L aspect présenté dans cet article se rapporte au temps de travail qui, chez CooperSol, gagne dans sa dimension subjective, qualitative, en tenant compte de certains éléments oubliés, comme l aspect cyclique et hétérogène du temps, ou bien, le temps vécu, guidé par le rythme habituel de la vie, en comptant sur plusieurs dimensions du quotidien.

Neonatal inhalatory anesthetic exposure: Reproductive changes in male rats

We investigated the effects of an inhalatory anesthetic (ethyl ether) during the neonatal period of brain sexual differentiation on the later fertility and sexual behavior of male rats. Animals were exposed to ethyl ether immediately after birth. At adulthood, body weight, testes wet weight, and plasma testosterone levels were not affected; however, neonatal exposure to ether showed alterations on male fertility: a decrease in the number of spermatids and spermatozoa, an increase in the transit time of cauda epididymal spermatozoa and a decrease in daily sperm production. An alteration of sexual behavior was also observed: decreased male sexual behavior and appearance of homosexual behavior when the male rats were castrated and pretreated with exogenous estrogen. Probably, the ether delayed or reduced the testosterone peak of the sexual differentiation period, altering the processes of masculinization and defeminization of the hypothalamus. Our results indicate that perinatal exposure to ethyl ether during the critical period of male brain sexual differentiation, acting as endocrine disruptors, has a long-term effect on the fertility and sexual behavior of male rats, suggesting endocrine disruption through incomplete masculinization and defeminization of the central nervous system. © 2002 Elsevier B.V.
