In this work we studied the urban movement of an important avenue of the city of Guaratingueta, in the Vale do Paraba, State of Sao Paul, which is the Avenida Joo Pessoa, located in the Pedregulho neighborhood. Through literature review on this topic, we could contribute to the understanding of car culture in Brazilian cities.Through research on the history of this neighborhood, and said avenue, interviews with the passers-by and also via site visits, we analyzed the situation of urban traffic of Avenida Joo Pessoa. One of the main intentions of the study was to propose guidelines for the improvement of urban traffic of Avenida Joo Pessoa
Capacidade antioxidante do suco de laranja fresco versus pasteurizado no sangue de indivduos adultos

O suco de laranja um alimento rico em substncias antioxidantes, como os flavonoides ctricos, vitamina C e carotenoides, que podem reduzir o estresse oxidativo que est relacionado gnese das doenas cardiovasculares, diabetes e cncer. No entanto, o processamento da laranja para obteno do suco interfere no tipo e quantidade dos compostos antioxidantes, podendo comprometer as aes esperadas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a atividade antioxidante do suco de laranja, comparando os resultados aps a ingesto aguda do suco de laranja fresco e do suco de laranja pasteurizado comercialmente em indivduos adultos saudveis. Cada voluntrio foi submetido a dois tratamentos: ingesto aguda de suco de laranja fresco e, aps intervalo de 30 dias, ingesto aguda de suco de laranja pasteurizado. Nos dois tratamentos foram colhidas amostras de sangue dos indivduos antes e aps a ingesto do suco de laranja. O efeito antioxidante total foi mensurado pelo ensaio do radical ABTS+ (2,2'azinobis (3-etilbenzenotiazolina 6-sulfnico) e pelo ensaio de TBARS (substncias reativas ao cido tiobarbitrico) nas amostras de sangue. Observou-se um aumento de 2,2% na capacidade antioxidante do sangue a partir de 4 horas aps a ingesto do suco de laranja fresco e que se manteve estvel at 24 horas do consumo (p<0.05). J com a ingesto do suco de laranja pasteurizado, a capacidade antioxidante se manteve estvel e equivalente ao suco de laranja fresco nas primeiras 4 horas, mas aumentou 1,4% aps 8 horas, permanecendo neste nvel at as 24 horas seguintes (p<0.05). Aps a ingesto do suco fresco, os nveis de peroxidao lipdica, diminuram 27% nas primeiras 4 horas. Porm, a partir das 8 h retornaram ao valor inicial. Os resultados aps o consumo do suco pasteurizado mostraram uma reduo da peroxidao lipdica em 18% a partir das 4 horas e 8 h (p<0.05), e esta reduo se acentuou (27%) s 24 h ...

This paper aims to base the thesis that the varied currents of the post-modern thought, in so far as have recourse to relativism to a greater or lesser degree, contribute to the legitimation of the religious education in public schools and, in a broader aspect, the religion in the public spaces. The methodological resource used to demonstrate the link between post-modern thought and religious education is the analysis at the historical and dialectical materialism perspective of publications produced to increase teachers on this discipline that is, in compliance with the Constitution, optional for students and mandatory for public elementary schools. The subject of this analysis is the learning content and has as prime concern to highlight the discourse of legitimation recurrent in authors when it is explicit in itself and explicit when it does not. The religious education in public schools as object of study allows us to understand the relationship between the post-modern thought, with its hegemony space within the human sciences and contextualized in the neoliberal economic environment, and the learning to learn pedagogies currently hegemonic in the educational landscape. We intend to contribute to the legal debate on laity, the philosophical debate on post-modernism and especially to the debate on the pedagogical theories in the educational fundaments.

The present article aims to elaborate an objective analytical panel, initially from the 1920- 1930 when Luiz Igncio Romeiro de Anhaia Mello, cathedratic in the urban question, started to quote a series of authors and American plans as references to their reflections, mainly when the point was the verticalization or not at So Paulo City. From a broad bibliographic research with the systematization of the register from the debate between Anhaia Mello, this article intends to point out how the transposition of the urbanistic conceptions to the academic environment happened and, at the same time, the legal normatization of the So Paulo City that resulted in the creation of a draft of the regulations for use and occupation of the soil. The systematizations and analysis were based in a broad reading of the bibliography and documental sources that refer to the proposed theme. The books of the library of FAU-USP, specifically the one from SAGMACS Sociedade de Anlises Grficas e Mecanogrficas Aplicadas aos Complexos Sociais ( Society of Graphical Mechanical-Graphic Analysis Applied to Social Complexes) -, aiming to select papers and the collection of Anhaia Mellos family, so that a reconstruction of the intellectual and professional journey of the Urbanism Professor. The systematization of the collected data and posterior comparison with the bibliographical study was fundamental for the reconstruction of the reflection of Anhaia Mello about the ways of the urban streets and roads at Sao Paulo City should be lead to on the middle of the XX century having as a guideline the debate between Anhaia Mello very common on the 1950s for less important countries when dealing with the organization of the size of industrial metropolis. It was possible to identify the crystallization of one urbanistic proposal for the city: the from Anhaia Mello, that bet on the reversion of the metropolitan cycle by stopping the urban growth by the application of the theoretical conception of the garden city.

Na presente publicao apresenta-se anlises de um conjunto de manuais escolares que circularam na Escola Normal brasileira e portuguesa entre meados do sculo XIX e meados do sculo XX a partir de diferentes olhares, reeditando em outra chave o processo original de circulação de ideias entre Brasil e Portugal no qual esses materiais se inserem. Orientados por outros estudos que tratam do mesmo tema, os autores realizaram recolha nos dois pases a fim de comprovar a circulação do corpus emprico que, ao final, foi definido como fonte. Assim, chegou-se ao seguinte conjunto de manuais didticos: Elementos de Pedagogia de Affreixo & Freire (1870); Curso Prtico de Pedagogia Destinado aos Alunos-Mestres das Escolas Normaes Primarias e aos Instituidores em Exerccio de Daligault (1874); Lies de Pedagogia Geral e de Histria da Educao de Pimentel Filho (1875); Lies de Pedologia e Pedagogia Experimental de Faria de Vasconcelos (1910); Lies de Metodologia, de Fonseca Lage (1920); A arte da leitura, de Mrio Gonalves Viana (1949) e Lies de Pedagogia, de Aquiles Archro Junior (1955). Os pesquisadores utilizam diferentes lentes para tecer suas anlises e, cada um segundo sua especialidade de pesquisa, aprofunda aspectos que, juntos, compem um painel interpretativo sobre o processo de escolarizao e seus espaos, a normatizao do trabalho docente, os princpios que nortearam a seleo cultural para a escola primria, a constituio de modos e mtodos de ensino para realizar os objetivos educacionais e a especificidade que assumem os materiais e o ensino da leitura e da escrita nessa instituio. Todas as anlises reiteram a importncia dos impressos na consolidao da escola primria portuguesa e brasileira, notadamente no que se refere s prescries feitas nos manuais escolares que, em trnsito, configuram-se como palavras viajeiras.

The paper aims to examine the work of Marcelino Freire, Angu de sangue (2000), from a poetic of identity with the black narratives and experiences of characters who participate in a space of exclusion, violence and social exile. Overall, the book deals with death and violence so raw and without idealizations. The characters struggle to survive in a cruel formo f life and denote the suffering and despair of those marked by peripheral situation. By proposing an analysis of tales of Angu de sangue, the work presented here reflects on a poetics of exclusion that runs the seventeen tales that make up the work in dialogue with images and internal references (through the images that illustrate the stories), and on the other hand, with pictures and references to the urban context of the excluded, represented on the pages of newspapers, magazines and television news.

The text characterizes the reading of media-related materials by students of the public basic education system in the State of So Paulo, based on a systematic observation of the circulation of press texts within the school daily life. In a study carried out during two academic years with groups of students from fundamental and secondary education classes belonging to two different schools situated in the outskirts of a town in the interior of the state, the students' reports on their appropriation of media-based information obtained from a variety of sources were analyzed, with particular emphasis on written newspapers. During the period investigated individual and group interviews, as well as texts produced by the students, were taken as points of departure for the analysis. Among the aspects noted from the contact with communication media is the establishment of press information inside the school, albeit with fragmentary repercussions, not fully integrated into the pedagogical daily life, but somewhat circumstantial in the students' lives. The themes that receive more attention circulate through the television, mediated by family or peers, but not by teachers. A proposal for the analysis of these data is made, followed by concrete suggestions as to the treatment to be given to support material, texts and media-based issues at school, taking into account the resources available and the school context such as it appears nowadays.

In order to contribute to the understanding of the history of the teaching of reading and writing and the history of political movement of textbooks in Sao Paulo, Brazil, we present the results of the analysis of the documents produced by the Review Commission Textbook, established in 1918 by the General Board of Education of So Paulo State. This commission aimed to review which books among the already approved by previous committees, should continue as recommended for use in elementary schools in So Paulo. For this, the commission has prepared various reports, which are representative of the actions of the state government to control the circulation and use of textbooks in elementary schools in the early twentieth century.
