Media, as contemporary information and communication phenomena, are rarely studied in the field of Information Science field (IS). This article aims to present a reflection on the Media role as information environments that provoke changes in the ecosystem of message creation, information and socially shared knowledge. It points out that the contextualization of informational situations in the media environments facilitates access to information and to knowledge creation, strategically aimed to more efficient mediation possibilities - purpose to be reached by the society and by an entrepreneurial Information Science. IS counts on proper strategies and methodologies for the creation of transversal meta fields of new knowledge for the solution of problems caused by the intersections and social frictions among science, technologies and knowledge, which means an effective contribution of IS to the enhance utilization of media potential.

Modelagem de processos, com foco em MRP, visando aplicação em pequenas empresas

Este trabalho propõe a inclusão de informação extraída a partir da modelagem de processos para auxiliar pequena empresas do setor madeireiro no controle de fluxo de materiais e estoques. Para isto são apresentados conceitos de modelagem de processos e sistema MRP I (Material Requirement Planning). Desta forma foi realizado um estudo detalhado sobre o sistema citado e posteriormente sobre as possibilidades de aplicações de uma modelagem de processos. Em seguida, chegou-se a proposta de modelagem para o tipo de empresa em questão. A modelagem é constituída por cinco etapas, onde é sugerida a inclusão de tendência de demanda para maior controle de necessidades de materiais. O resultado obtido, a modelagem, pode ter grande utilidade no controle de fluxo de materiais em pequenas empresas, acarretando menores problemas no atendimento de demanda e acumulo de estoques e assim aumentando sua competitividade.

Gestão de desenvolvimento competitivo: atuação do Relações-públicas em programas de gestão do conhecimento

The theme approached relates contemporaneous organizational competitive scenario to draw parallels between the organizational structure, Knowledge Management and Public Relations. Many aspects are complementary and can be grouped, enabling the idea of verifying the possibility of a Public Relations work like a manager of Knowledge Management. The objective of this study focuses in analyzing the administration ways of the organizational environment to verify the best kind of structure for the competitive development pattern, then we sought the meaning of Knowledge Management and their results to draw a parallel between the image of the Knowledge Management process manager and the Public Relations professional. The methodology chosen was bibliographic research, by which we noticed the theme relevance, the proposal validity and build a convergence between the skills of a person responsible for managing processes in Knowledge Management and the capabilities of a Public Relations professional. This way adopts a human feature to the managing process, respecting the technical-informational scenario of this area

Variabilidade genética e filogeografia de populações de Prochilodus lineatus (Pisces: prochilodontidae) das bacias dos rios Paraguai-Paraná e da bacia Amazônica: bases para programas de conservação e de psicultura

A espécie Prochilodus lineatus, considerada um migrador por excelência, possui intensa ocorrência durante a migração reprodutiva. São peixes de elevado valor econômico e a sua adaptação em cativeiro os tornam altamente interessantes para desenvolvimento de programas de piscicultura. O monitoramento regular das variações genéticas nos estoques é importante em programas de conservação, evitando o declínio da variabilidade genética, essencial para a conservação das espécies. No entanto, os poucos dados moleculares populacionais para Prochilodus lineatus justificam a presente proposta. Nesse sentido, tivemos como objetivo caracterizar a variabilidade genética e estabelecer as relações filogeográficas entre 6 populações de P. lineatus das bacias dos rios Paraguai (2 do rio Paraguai e 3 do rio Cuiabá, MT) e Paraná (1 do rio Mogi-Guaçu, SP), num total de 34 indivíduos. Outros 16 indivíduos dos rios: da Prata, Uruguai, Paraná, Bermejo, Paraguai, Amazonas e Madeira, cujas sequências foram obtidas do National Center for Biotechnology Information (Genbank), foram analisados, totalizando assim, 50 indivíduos. Como grupo externo foi utilizado Salminus brasiliensis. O estudo foi realizado através das análises das sequências do gene mitocondrial ATPase 8/6. O interesse do uso de um gene mitocondrial está na vasta literatura que esse possui em análises filogenéticas e na confiança que existe nos dados gerados de tais análises. O gene citado foi completamente sequenciado (842pb), as análises filogenéticas foram conduzidas pelos métodos “Neighbor Joining (NJ)”, “Minimum Evolution (ME)” e “Máxima Parcimônia (MP)”, com 1000 réplicas de bootstrap no programa MEGA 5.0. Para análises filogeográficas as sequências foram analisadas no programa TCS e no programa Arlequin. Os resultados auxiliarão em uma melhor compreensão da história evolutiva, migração... Aplicabilidade das equações isotermas de Freundlich e Langmuir na interação biossortiva de corantes têxteis com Saccharomyces cerevisiae liofilizada

This paper presents a study of the applicability of adsorption isotherms, known as Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm, between the biosorptive interaction of yeast lyophilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae and textile dyes. To that end, we prepared stock solutions of the textile dyes Direct Red 23 and Direct Red 75 in the concentration of 1.000μg/mL and a yeast suspension at 2,5%. We did experiments for two cases, firstly for the case that we have a fix concentration of yeast at 0,500mg/mL and an variable concentration of dye range from40, 50, 60, 80 and 100μg/mL, then for the case that we fixed the concentration of dye at 100μg/mL and the yeast concentration was variable range from 0,250, 0,500, 0,750, 1,000, 1,250mg/mL. For the dye Direct Red 23 we did analysis in the pH 2,5, 4,5 and 6,5; for the Direct Red 75, we just did for the pH 2,5. We leave the dye solution in contact with the yeast for 2 hours at a constant temperature of 30°C and then centrifuged and analyzed the sample in a spectrophotometer and finally made and analysis of parameters for the removal and study of the isotherms. After the biosorption, was observed that for the Direct Red 23 in the pH 2,5 was needed 1,407mg/mL of yeast for total removal, while for the pH 4,5 was needed 8,806mg/mL and in pH 6,5 was 9,286mg/mL; for the Direct Red 75 in pH 2,5 was needed 1,337mg/mL. This difference can be explain by the adsorption isotherms, was observed that in the case when the yeast was fix when we had in a acid pH the behavior of the system was compatible with the Langmuir isotherm, and thus, an monolayer pattern. And that when we decrease the acidity of the medium the system became more compatible with a Freundlich isotherm, and thus, a multilayer pattern; for the case that the yeast was variable this is not much evident, however for the pH 2,5 she became compatible with a Langmuir isotherm... Auxílio a tomada de decisão na inclusão de sobressalentes de manutenção em estoque utilizando um sistema especialista fuzzy

In the current economic scenario of constant changes, industries seek to increase their profitability decreasing inventory levels. Maintenance and maintenance management, combined with the inventory management of spare parts, has assumed a position of competitive advantage in business. Stock only what you need has become a difficult decision for managers, who are faced with the lack of models and criteria to assist this decision-making. This work proposes a method which supports decision making, on a MATLAB modeling, using criteria established by an expert and his maintenance workers team, focusing on no regular demand of spare parts. The proposed model was adequate to the needs of the company and the maintenance manager in the decision on the storage

Marcadores de Microssatélites para estudos de conservação da Raia-viola Rhinobatos percellens (Chondrichthyes, Rhinobatidae)

A exploração pesqueira, tanto artesanal quanto industrial, se constitui na maior ameaça à biodiversidade dos elasmobrânquios. Em escala mundial, o manejo adequado destes recursos é dificultado pela escassez de informações básicas sobre a dinâmica populacional destes organismos. A captura comercial de elasmobrânquios tem alcançado números alarmantes, com a inclusão de diversas espécies nas listas de risco de extinção nacional e também internacional. A identificação e a conservação de estoques geneticamente diferenciados e adaptados ao seu habitat, representam um ponto fundamental para o setor pesqueiro, pela sua relação direta com a produtividade total e o uso sustentável dos recursos. Entre as raias marinhas, a família Rhinobatidae é representada pelos gêneros Rhinobatos, Zapteryx, Trygonorhina e Aptychotrema, sendo registrada a ocorrência da espécie Rhinobatos percellens no Oceano Atlântico adesde as Antilhas e Panamá, Venezuela, Jamaica, Brasil, Uruguai, até a Argentina. No presente trabalho foram desenvolvidos marcadores moleculares do tipo microssatélites para raiaviola, Rhinobatos percellens, para serem utilizados em estudo populacionais. Cinco locus polimórficos foram isolados utilizando um protocolo de enriquecimento. Nos experimentos, foram testados 13 pares de primers, sendo 10 isolados no presente trabalho e 3 isolados para a espécie de tubarão azul (Prionance glauca). Dos primers isolados em Rhinobatos percellens, 5 são polimórficos, 2 monomórficos e 3 apresentaram bandas muito fracas, enquanto os primers testados de tubarão azul mostraram-se monomórficos. Todos os locus estão em equilíbrio de Wardy-Weinberg, exceto o RVA9 (de R. percellens). Os locus polimórficos apresentam de 3 a 6 alelos por locus e heterozigosidade média esperada de 0.62. This monograph discuss the postmodernity social reality issues, emphasizing cultural, communicational, technological and informational extents. Via data collection through specific literature, and sources of different medias( internet, books, comic books, movies, novels, sociological, informational, technological, communicational and humanistic theories) behavioral patterns could be analyzed and the postmodern technological,informational and communicational reality as well, and how they mutually influence the “digital culture” construction (also called cyberculture). The results of this research were used to build a narrative which suits the new culture in development both in shape and in content: the scrip “Hotel Seol”. Pagamento por serviços ecossistêmicos: possibilidades para a Amazônia brasileira

Os serviços ecossistêmicos prestados pelas florestas são responsáveis por diversos benefícios ao bem estar humano e à manutenção da vida, incluindo a manutenção da biodiversidade, ciclagem da água, estoques e sumidouros de carbono, os quais ficam seriamente prejudicados pelas ações antropogênicas. Este estudo inicia com uma breve apresentação do problema do desmatamento na Amazônia brasileira, suas causas e consequências para estes serviços. Posteriormente apresenta um mecanismo que visa à remuneração destes serviços como forma de manter a floresta em pé e garantir seus benefícios. Este mecanismo, batizado de REDD – Redução de Emissões por Desmatamento e Degradação, provem do conceito de Pagamento por Serviços Ecossistêmicos, o qual possui uma certa variedade de propostas e muitas controvérsias sobre sua aplicação e possíveis efeitos

Aumento da precisão do controle de estoque: pesquisa ação em indústria de bens de consumo

This work is an action research conducted in an industry of consumer goods, presenting a new model of inventory management in the company's processors. This replacement of the inventory management of the company stemmed from the need to reduce the large number of deviations in the product write off in stock, thereby generating a low accuracy and reliability of data on inventories of processors shown by the company's ERP system. Spending on inventory adjustments could thus be reduced with the implementation of the new model, thus generating a cost savings for the company and thus increasing their competitive potential in the market. In the old system adopted by the company, write off raw material inventory was done automatically by the system for customized transactions by the company. However, since the implementation of ERP in the company, the automatic write off based on historical consumption of each product were made in many cases at random, generating a lot of mistakes. The new management system has replaced the automatic system by manual at the time of the return of the processed product in the company, thus creating a control which lots and quantities were consumed in the processing and making the stock shown by the ERP reliable and accurate

Proposta de um procedimento de trabalho para gerenciamento de estoque em uma instituição pública de ensino superior

This paper aims to discuss the system of inventory management in a public university. The present paper shows the definitions, classification of materials and the advantages and disadvantages of storage, besides exposing the public procurement bidding system since the acquisition until receipt of materials to be stored. This paper presents a survey of the items stored in the warehouse and use of control tools such as ABC curve to demand flow prized for verification of critical items and idle items. Displays also a calculation for the minimum value of stock and replacement of an item in inventory and an analysis of the conditions of the warehouse layout. As a result, knowledge is acquired and a revised system of inventory management of the institution was proposed

This action-research work presents tools which are related to production monitoring: Follow-up of Products Release from Quality Department and Follow-up of Production Volumes. Both tools allows controlling release delays of finished goods based on the quality specifications, and the accurate analysis of production volumes variations compared to pre-established plans. They have direct impact into enterprises inventory levels that are part of Toiletries, Perfumery and Cosmetics market segment. By applying these tools, it´s possible to identify opportunities for process optimization that brings benefits for the final customer. The results seen by the tools application are presented by the analysis of delayed stock for release quantities evolution and testimonies from professionals of Supply Chain

Melhoria do nível de serviço no atendimento ao cliente por meio da estrutura direta de distribuição Transit Point

Increasingly competitive markets have driven the search for companies in many different ways to win and keep customers. The service level is basically the performance of companies in fulfilling the orders made, or how companies demonstrate to their clients efforts in their behalf. This work aims to solve the difficulties faced by a multinational company present in Brazil, in the distribution of its products in the category Ice Cream in order to improve the service level of their customers. Review the logistics network and concepts related to the distribution system of products is one of several ways to achieve this goal, as well as the use of IT and tools to assist in planning and programming of the physical distribution of products. In this study we used the concept of direct distribution system called Transit Point (TP). The TP provides at the same time, a strategy of rapid response, flexibility, low transportation costs and no inventory. A router - software capable of simulating the actual conditions experienced in the daily distribution - was used to assist in calculations. Results showed reductions of up to 47.5% in transportation costs and better conditions were provided in the distribution of products, positively impacting on service levels and in the maintenance of products quality, with a reduction of 1.6% of the total costs involve
