Busca quântica de dados XML usando algoritmo de Grover

This paper presents a quantum search algorithm implementation with small modifications. The algorithm idea is to be hybrid, capable to run on classical systems and quantum systems. We present the concepts of quantum search and introduced a pseudo-framework able to generate code for classical computers (C++) and quantum computers (QCL). The algorithms were submitted to simulations, which resulted in a comparative study of the operation of Grover’s algorithm on both systems, carrying out searches in a mass of data in XML format files. As a result, we see very similar numbers between classical and quantum systems, this creates an expectation that the search in real quantum computers is much more efficient.

Modelagem computacional das túnicas cardíacas para processamento e controle de qualidade

This paper considers a study of the anatomical features of the cardiac system and a three-dimensional model of the different tunics that comprise the heart wall, for processing and quality control of radiological images. The structures are built by the layer overlapping method, where a layer can be understood as a slice of the three-dimensional object. The pericardium, myocardium and endocardium were represented with three-dimensional cylinders and hexagons. The spatial arrangement of the cardiac system is determined by an background image of a real model, which values are defined according to the shape of the region and on the anatomical patients characteristics. The results are significant, considering the anatomical structures details, as well as the representation of the thicknesses of the regions of the heart wall. The validation of the anatomical model was accomplished through comparisons with dimensions obtained from a real model and allows verifying that the model is appropriate. The degree of representation will allow the verification of the influence of radiological parameters, morphometric peculiarities and stage of the diseases on the quality of the images, as well as on the performance of the Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD).

Avaliação dos aspectos da dieta alimentar de Pimelodus maculatus em dois importantes tributários do reservatório de Jurumirim, Alto Rio Paranapanema-SP

The species Pimelodus maculatus is one of the most abundant fish in many artificial reservoirs. Shows feeding plasticity and exploits all trophic levels in aquatic ecosystems. This study aimed to analyze and compare aspects of the diet of P. maculatus in two important tributaries (Taquari and Veados rivers) in the upper Paranapanema River system, and also investigate possible differences in the condition factor using its feeding habit as reference. Samplings were carried out every three months during 2011 and 2012 in two tributaries of Jurumirim's dam. After biometric analysis, fish were dissected to remove the stomachs that were fixed in formaldehyde 10% and conserved in alcohol 70%. The stomach content was analyzed under stereomicroscope and the food items were identified until the least possible taxonomic level. The diet was characterized based on the Alimentary Index (IAi). Feeding strategy and aspects of species autoecology were evaluated by the relation between abundance of prey-specific (Pi) and occurrence frequency (Fo) of the prey, and also was calculated the niche width of Levin (B). The condition factor was also established and values obtained in samples of both rivers were compared, correlating them with diet of the species

Objectives: the aim of this work was to define the range of possible values for each isotope of carbon-13 and nitrogen-15 for cocaine and marijuana seized in Botucatu-SP, with the intention of distinguishing the geographical origin of the drug. Materials and Methods: samples of marijuana and cocaine were collected at the time of incineration. Then, at the Stable Isotope Center from São Paulo State University in Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil, samples of marijuana were subjected to the drying process and subsequent grinding. Samples of cocaine were not submitted to the processes of drying and grinding because they were already in adequate granulometry. Subsequently, the samples of both drugs were weighed in accordance with the standards for carbon-13 and nitrogen-15. Lastly, CO2 and N2 gases were obtained from the samples through the elemental analyzer. They were then analyzed in a mass spectrometer to obtain values of δ13C and δ15N in ‰. Results and Discussion: the results of marijuana allowed for comparison with regions of Queensland, Australia, according to the range of δ13C between -29.9 ‰ and -29.3 ‰ and δ15N range from 4.1 ‰ to 5.8 ‰. The results were also consistent with those of the state of Pará, Brazil, where the values of δ13C and δ15N were -30.3 ± 0.7 ‰ and 5.0 ± 1.3 ‰, respectively. Also the results were in accordance with those from the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in which δ13C values varied by -28.7 ± 1.3 ‰, and δ15N values varied by 6.6 ± 1.1 ‰, respectively. In both regions, the samples identified as being from Pará and Mato Grosso do Sul showed an overlap. In addition, the results fitted with data from the state of Maranhão, in which the values of δ13C and δ15 N were -28.8 ± 1.6 ‰ and 2.9 ± 2.5 ‰, respectively. This paper analyzes the small and medium armored combat vehicle industry, in order to understand its modus operandi. We investigate the former largest Brazilian producer of small and medium armored combat vehicles, Engesa, and concluded that its world success was a result both of its privileged perception to occupy a market niche and of the special relationship among its CEO and the Brazilian Army. A combination of negative factors conduced the firm to its bankruptcy, in the beginning of the 1990s, but we also identified a huge business potential, which could be either occupied by Engesa, if it had not disappeared, or by a follower in this market.

Tratamento da classe II divisão 2 com aparelho de Herbst após o pico de crescimento puberal

Patients with Class II division 2 malocclusion and mandibular retrusion have limited treatment options after the growth peak, such as surgical-orthodontic treatment or mandibular advancement devices. Among bite-jumping devices, the Herbst appliance allows greater increase of mandibular growth since it does not require patient compliance and allows continuous use. This case report presents the treatment of a Class II division 2 malocclusion in a patient after growth peak, performed in two stages. The first stage included the upper incisors proclination and overjet increase with multibracket appliance to benefit next stage. The second stage involved mandibular advancement using Herbst appliance aiming to correct the Class II molar relationship. The treatment resulted in a stable occlusion with periodontal health, normal functions and facial aesthetics improvement. Dental and skeletal changes arising from treatment could be assessed by cephalometric analysis and superimposition of pretreatment and post-treatment cephalometric tracings. Antero-posterior discrepancy was corrected by means of dental movement as well as by mandibular growth increment stimulated by the Herbst appliance.

Análise dos troncos radiculares, abertura da raízes e projeções cervicais de esmalte de furcas de molares superiores e inferiores: Estudo in vitro

Periodontal treatment of teeth with furcation lesions often have unpredictable results due to several factors that may hinder therapy or influence the progress of periodontal disease. Of these, the length of the root trunk may contribute to the early injury of the furcations or even cause complications for the application of the treatment; the opening of the roots can guide the type of treatment to be instituted and cervical enamel projections may hinder the instrumentation of the region or even act as a retention plate niche. Thus, the purpose of this study was measured using a digital caliper, root logs database 400 molar both the 1st and the 2nd and both upper and lower as well as analyze using appropriate index type projection cervical enamel and through appropriate classification the opening of the roots in order to guide the diagnosis and treatment plan. We conclude that there is variation in measures of root trunk between the faces of the teeth examined and that greater cervical enamel projection (ECP) correlates with a decrease in the length of the root trunk in the sample evaluated as the first molars have higher occurrence of roots with a degree of opening larger than the second molars.

O futebol nos dias de hoje representa algo muito maior do que um exercício físico ou uma atividade de descontração. Ele desempenha um papel dentro da sociedade que extrapola as perspectivas do jogo. Reduzir a análise sobre o futebol profissional apenas ao aspecto lúdico do esporte também diminui a concepção sobre o que ele realmente representa. Nos bastidores do espetáculo futebolístico existe um universo de atos políticos que abrangem diversas esferas do poder que por sua vez auxiliam na execução do esporte como um evento esportivo com milhões de espectadores. Uma das razões para que o âmbito político do esporte seja menos conhecido do que as táticas dos técnicos ou dribles dos jogadores é a cobertura feita pelos meios de comunicação. No decorrer de sua existência, o futebol se transformou em um evento globalizado que envolve em sua órbita muito mais do que apenas o aspecto esportivo. Com os anos, o esporte foi se firmando em diversos países como produto cultural e até mesmo ferramenta política. O que se vê contudo é a sobreposição midiática do jogo sobre a sua verdadeira estrutura. O entretenimento trazido pelo esporte ganha as páginas enquanto o jogo político que sustenta a realização do mesmo recebe uma atenção mais discreta das mídias. A proposta deste trabalho é analisar como foi feita a divulgação de notícias referentes à Copa do Mundo de 2014, que será realizada no Brasil, nos jornais Folha de S.Paulo e O Estado de S. Paulo durante o ano de 2012 através dos seus cadernos de esportes. O objetivo é compreender qual é o teor e a intensidade da cobertura sobre os fatos políticos que ajudam a dar forma ao evento mais importante do futebol. Acontecimentos desta proporção exigem preparação do país, o que implica em um trabalho em conjunto entre o Governo Federal e FIFA. Validação de aplicativo comercial visando a incorporação da realidade aumentada a um modelo de avaliação pós-ocupação

Post-Occupancy Evaluation of buildings considers user satisfaction, building pathologies and performance, as well as users interventions in the built environment. The possibility of identifying interventions regardless of the user could provide a significant gain in the efficiency of Post-Occupancy Evaluations. We foresee the application of Augmented Reality (AR) to improve the identification of renovations by overlapping the construction information model with an image of the actual building. This article validates the use of AR on existing smartphone and tablet applications. This study proposes the incorporation of AR into the planning, execution and application of Post-Occupancy Evaluation. For the planning, this study proposes the development of a new research tool. With regards to the execution, this study examined the data collection conditions on site through the visualization of overlapping models. For the application, this study proposes displaying the results through the use of RA information layers. The transparency oft he RA model was used to allow comparison between the virtual model and the real model. The development and adaptation of the virtual model and the solution developed for the experiment of the RA proposal are presented and discussed. The experiment points to shortcomings that still make the proposed technological solution unfeasible.
