Amb motiu del Quart Congrés d'Història de la Medicina Catalana, es publica aquest recull d'articles del Doctor Robert, aparescuts a La Vanguardia a partir del 1901 i que aporten un testimoni directe d'un moment àlgid de la medicina catalana. Els recopil·ladors, en Josep M. Calbet i en Jacint Corbella, pretenen també destacar la implicació política d'aquest personatge tan rellevant.

Terracota, Arquitectura y Barcelona: siglos XIX y XX

Creemos que la terracota, en cuanto que materia, posee sufi cientes cualidades, por sí mismay por su vinculación con la arquitectura en la que se ubica, que la hacen merecedora de unestudio profundo y de un acercamiento respetuoso. Un producto cerámico que aporta comopropiedad fundamental su carácter escultórico. Valores que pretendemos sean totalmente explícitos, con la condición que sean fácilmente reconocibles. Un material que defi ne un momento de la historia y de la historia de la arquitectura de Barcelona, incompleta sin el estudio sistemático que presentamos.

Escola e status racial em Cachoeira do Campo/MG no século XIX

De acordo com uma documentação que contabilizou a população de Minas Gerais, nos anos de 1830, havia um predomínio dos negros entre os alunos das escolas de instrução elementar. Neste artigo, procuramos investigar os significados dessa experiência para a população negra através da confrontação de documentos censitários do distrito de Cachoeira do Campo/MG, que se encontrava no termo de Ouro Preto, na região central da província. O procedimento de análise ocorreu a partir da separação dos domicílios em que havia o registro de crianças frequentando escolas, em 1831. Em seguida, identificamos esses domicílios na documentação de 1838 analisando a situação dos indivíduos escolarizados e de seu grupo familiar. O intervalo de sete anos entre os documentos possibilitou a avaliação dos impactos da experiência escolar, revelando, entre outras coisas, que negros escolarizados eram preferencialmente designados como pardos e estes podiam mudar de status racial, passando até mesmo a ser classificados como brancos.

Pisa arcaica i ceràmica vidriada del segle XIII a Barcelona. Un estudi arqueomètric

L"estudi arqueomètric d"un lot de pises arcaiques, vaixella verda i ceràmiques comunes vidriades trobades a l"excavació arqueològica del carrer de Sant Honorat ha permès la identificació, ja en el segle XIII, d"una producció local d"aquest tipus de vaixelles a la ciutat de Barcelona, especialment gràcies a la seva similitud amb les peces produïdes al forn del carrer de l"Hospital. Les peces estudiades han estat analitzades mitjançant la fluorescència de raigs X (FRX) i la difracció de raigs X (DRX). Un grup reduït de peces ha estat seleccionat per al seu estudi mitjançant la microscòpia electrònica de rastreig (MER). Els resultats permeten la identificació de 3 grans grups químics considerats com a barcelonins, els quals engloben la major part de les ceràmiques analitzades. A més, s"ha identificat una segona producció també barcelonina, com també tres produccions de les quals ara per ara no es pot proposar una provinença segura. Tecnològicament, s"han estudiat les diferències existents entre les produccions de pisa arcaica i les ceràmiques de vaixella verda.
