The Argentina and the world from the bicentennial of the may revolution not intended to be a story acontecimental but a working analytical and interpretive on our insertion in the successive international scenarios forms, marked by a tension between the separatist schemes and inclusion to the dominant powers in the successive global scenarios since the 19th century. It is divided into three thematic nuclei: 1. birth, peak and end of the traditional Argentine foreign policy: the secondment to the British influence. (1810-1946); 2. External policies against instability and tension between the inclusion and autonomy (1946-1983); 3. The a recent model of foreign policy: the end of the tension between the inclusion and autonomy?)

El presente trabajo parte del establecimiento del Archivo de Mario Bellatin en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata y del posterior hallazgo de determinados textos que preceden al proyecto escriturario de Mario Bellatin y que corresponden a reflexiones teóricas pertenecientes al campo de la filosofía y de la teología. Se proporcionará un esbozo de la utilidad que tienen estos textos para contribuir a entender la poética bellatiniana. Se aportará, también, una reflexión acerca de la relevancia que esta cuestión tiene para los estudios geneticistas y la problemática del archivo, en tanto implica una determinada definición particular del concepto de Archivo, y en tanto estudiamos a un escritor cuyo hábito de reutilizar trabajos anteriores exige comprobar el estado actual de lo que entendemos por Archivo

Selected multi-proxy and accurately dated marine and terrestrial records covering the past 2000 years in the Iberian Peninsula (IP) facilitated a comprehensive regional paleoclimate reconstruction for the Medieval Climate Anomaly (MCA: 900-1300 AD). The sequences enabled an integrated approach to land-sea comparisons and, despite local differences and some minor chronological inconsistencies, presented clear evidence that the MCA was a dry period in the Mediterranean IP. It was a period characterized by decreased lake levels, more xerophytic and heliophytic vegetation, a low frequency of floods, major Saharan eolian fluxes, and less fluvial input to marine basins. In contrast, reconstruction based on sequences from the Atlantic Ocean side of the peninsula indicated increased humidity. The data highlight the unique characteristics of the MCA relative to earlier (the Dark Ages, DA: ca. 500-900 years AD) and subsequent (the Little Ice Age, LIA: 1300-1850 years AD) colder periods. The reconstruction supports the hypothesis of Trouet et al. (2009, doi:10.1126/science.1166349), that a persistent positive mode of the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) dominated the MCA.

Owing to the complexity of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) systems and platforms, the evaluation of AAL solutions is a complex task that will challenge researchers for years to come. However, the analysis and comparison of proposed solutions is paramount to enable us to assess research results in this area. We have thus organized an international contest called EvAAL: Evaluating AAL Systems through Competitive Benchmarking. Its aims are to raise interest within the research and developer communities in the multidisciplinary research fields enabling AAL, and to create benchmarks for the evaluation and comparison of AAL systems.

Diffusion controls the gaseous transport process in soils when advective transport is almost null. Knowledge of the soil structure and pore connectivity are critical issues to understand and modelling soil aeration, sequestration or emission of greenhouse gasses, volatilization of volatile organic chemicals among other phenomena. In the last decades these issues increased our attention as scientist have realize that soil is one of the most complex materials on the earth, within which many biological, physical and chemical processes that support life and affect climate change take place. A quantitative and explicit characterization of soil structure is difficult because of the complexity of the pore space. This is the main reason why most theoretical approaches to soil porosity are idealizations to simplify this system. In this work, we proposed a more realistic attempt to capture the complexity of the system developing a model that considers the size and location of pores in order to relate them into a network. In the model we interpret porous soils as heterogeneous networks where pores are represented by nodes, characterized by their size and spatial location, and the links representing flows between them. In this work we perform an analysis of the community structure of porous media of soils represented as networks. For different real soils samples, modelled as heterogeneous complex networks, spatial communities of pores have been detected depending on the values of the parameters of the porous soil model used. These types of models are named as Heterogeneous Preferential Attachment (HPA). Developing an exhaustive analysis of the model, analytical solutions are obtained for the degree densities and degree distribution of the pore networks generated by the model in the thermodynamic limit and shown that the networks exhibit similar properties to those observed in other complex networks. With the aim to study in more detail topological properties of these networks, the presence of soil pore community structures is studied. The detection of communities of pores, as groups densely connected with only sparser connections between groups, could contribute to understand the mechanisms of the diffusion phenomena in soils.
