The purpose of this study was to evaluate surface rugosity among indirect esthetic materials (Vita VMK 95, Solidex, Artglass, Targis). Ten samples of each material in the cilindric shape with dimension 6 x 6 mm were manufactured. The surface were submitted to finishing and polishing, according to manufacturer's recommendations. The samples were submitted to measuremenst, using the Hommel Tester T500 device. The average values of maxim surface rugosity among the materiais ín question, were 5, 73pm; 5, 15pm; 6, 83 j.Jm e 3, 72 j.Jm, respectively. Sample were also subjectted to variance analysis- ANOVA (5%), had detected significance. Concluded that the material Solidex did not present significant statistical differences among groups, while Targis presented significant statistical differences in relation to the Artglass and the ceramic Vita vmk95.

Currently the most widespread material used in dies is gypsum that together with its simple technique has very satisfactory mechanical, chemical and physical properties. However, its compactibility with the impression materials can compromise the die surface quality. In our work, we studies the hardness of the two gypsum types: Type III (die stone) and type IV (improved die stone), as well as the influence of the contact with three types of impression materials: polymerized silicone for condensation (Xantopren), polysulfide (Permlastic) and polymerized silicone by addition (Provil). The purpose of this study was to evaluate in vitro the shear bond strenght to bovine dentin, during 24h and 30 days with the following variables: resin cements Enforce and Panavia F; aesthetics restorative materials Art Glass, IPS Empress 2 and Targis, with surface treatment with microetching with aluminium oxide, fluoridric acid and silane. Two hundred eighty eight sound bovine teeth from 3 years old animals constituted the samples after inclusion on polyester resin box. lnstron model 430 Universal Testing Machine, a crosshead speed 0,5 mm/min and load cells of 500 Kg, was used for shear bond strenght testing (MPa). The results were statistically analysed by ANOVA The best result was obtained with /PS Empress 2, microetched with aluminium oxide, fluoridric acid and silane, cemented with Panavia F and stored in distilled water, 3f'C during 30 days

Introduction: This study is part of some activities developed in a school library in Marília - SP. Objective: To approach the voice pad use in historical narratives. Methodology: The book chosen by the storyteller for this experiment was “A Menina do Narizinho Arrebitado” written by Monteiro Lobato, the first Brazilian book to gain an interactive version for the pad device. Results: It was observe in that activity like a digital device excites children, being a new way to interaction with stories. With features enticing and easier to use, the tablets provide the reading levels of dynamism and interactivity so far unthinkable. Conclusions: With the results of this research, it is concluded that audiovisual resources allow interaction and dynamism, providing enthusiasm to the listeners; being a pleasurable and diverse action that enables the professional to use new tools to stimulate the taste to hear and share stories as well as to attend a school library.

This paper presents the results of a University research and extension project conducted at an institution that provides support to children and adolescents in the city of Marília, state of São Paulo, in 2010. This project focuses on reading and storytelling activities to stimulate children to become readers and increase their cultural repertoire. The theoretical reflection is based on the studies of Vygotsky, Bakhtin and Benjamin. The practical activities were organized based on authors such as Bajard, Freinet and Coelho; and the choice of the literary works and stories follow the criteria described in the text. The activities were used with the purpose of motivating children and teenagers to read. We observed significant changes in participants, namely: better vocabulary and engagement in activities proposed. The data collected is presented in the text in the form of speech transcripts and in the reports of the book of life.
