Laboratório de Ensino de Matemática: uma extensão da sala de aula

This work has as purpose to present some boardings that assist in the process of mathematics teach-learning. We detach the Laboratory of Education of Matemática (LEM) and its main components. On the basis of the National Curricular Parameters, we display four activities that had been developed and applied in a Municipal School of the Public Net of Education in the city of Roseira. In the activities the mental arithmetic is developed, to study the elementary operations and concepts of horizontal segment and vertical segment. The results show that, with the development of the activities, as much the researcher as the teacher and its pupils had been more interested in arguing, teaching and to learn mathematics

Diagnóstico socioambiental de um alojamento estudantil público e da comunidade do entorno: um estudo da relação entre a universidade e a sociedade

Dormitories are places offered by Brazilian public Universities to undergraduate students evaluated as socio-economically less favored aiming to guarantee the housing of the student in the locality they take a given undergraduate course, once housing is one the points which compose the tripod that supports the concept of student permanence, along with conditions of transportations and food. These places, however, present problems in their management, specially the ones related to social and environmental questions, caused by wrong attitudes and pre-concepts of their own residents, other students and the communities who live around them. So, this project aims to identify and analyze the socio-environmental conditions of a students’ dormitory located in Botucatu/SP which is supported by the Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (Unesp) as well as the community that surrounds it. The data collecting is based on an exploratory research characterized for interviews that used semi-structured questionnaires and for the creation of a photography record of the region. The obtained data corroborated the tendency of an increasing gap between the Brazilian public universities and the society as well as to the disengagement of them and their students. This diagnosis has permitted to build proposals of educational interventions based on Permaculture, Agroecology and Critical Environmental Education to the improvement of the existing relationships among the students who live at the dormitory and among them and the local community. These interventions may be used as subsidies to the development of future research and extension projects to the local community

Arte-educação e identidade cultural: um devir criança e o Cacuriá

Este estudo procura problematizar as compreensões e explicações à cerca da “(re)construção da identidade cultural”. Questionamos se o termo crise é apropriado para refletir sobre identidades já que elas jamais foram fixas e, assim, não podem entrar em crise. As diferentes crises que afetam o sujeito contemporâneo – econômicas, políticas, sociais, ambientais e culturais – insere em nós feixes de mal-estares, nos inquietando. E, diante de um processo de criação cultural, em permanente construção e transformação, em seu exercício direto e indireto na produção dos sujeitos e na valoração e interpretação dos significados das culturas populares, somos forçados a procurar novos caminhos e identificações da própria existência na constituição do sujeito. Neste caos existencial contemporâneo é possível observar a dificuldade de sustentar “identidades culturais”, justamente pelas características das transformações culturais dinâmicas, presente na sociedade globalizada. Tais mudanças provocam confusões no sujeito, principalmente quando este se questiona sobre sua “identidade cultural”. São muitos abalos internos e socioculturais, as denominadas “crises de identidade”. O fluxo rápido de informações e a facilidade de troca de experiências disponíveis nos dias de hoje trazem à tona a falta de referência, que desestabiliza e fragmenta a idéia de identidade do próprio indivíduo. As crenças que envolvem questões de sentido cultural estão sofrendo abalos pela velocidade das transformações que sofre o homem contemporâneo. Desta forma, as expressões livres, diversas e criativas, estão a caminho da homogeneização, sendo assim, aparenta ser impossível para alguma “identidade” resistir intacta ao massacre da cultura de massa globalizada, tida pelas políticas de subjetivação e pelas forças da indústria cultural. O processo de ensino aprendizagem da educação no trânsito por meio da construção de um personagem heróico

This research project aims to study the relationship between the myths and the automobile, the contributions to the literature of fairy tales and the possible contributions of the heroes of fairy tales can bring to the process of teaching and learning defensive behavior in traffic. Traffic is a phenomenon so common to modern societies that often do not pay attention to their relevance as synonymous with social space and contains diversity of people and behaviors. To counter the image of fatalistic accidents and transgressions, will support us in the virtues of the hero figure to culminate in a collective tale in which children want to rethink their behavior, becoming citizens, with a more preventative and better quality of life. The research will be held in four rooms of elementary school in a city public school that serves children from families of the urban popular classes. The research will seek to analyze how the design of transit for the children and what the increase attributed to the theme, after the establishment of a collective story

Análise eletromiográfica dos músculos vasto medial e vasto lateral durante contrações isométricas de extensão do joelho

O joelho, por suas características anatômicas e freqüente instabilidade e exposição as lesões tem o quadríceps como importante músculo a ser desenvolvido quanto ao seu trofismo e força. Composto de quatro porções distintas estas podem gerar diferentes vetores de força que podem ter relações diretas com o recrutamento de unidades motoras. O posicionamento articular, a conseqüente modificação do comprimento muscular e a intensidade da contração podem influenciar o desenvolvimento da força do quadríceps. Dentre as contrações relacionadas ao maior recrutamento de unidades motoras com o intuito do desenvolvimento de força está a contração isométrica. Dentre as contrações musculares, as isométricas têm sido frequentemente indicadas para aumentar a força e estabilidade articular em sessões de treinamento e reabilitação. Pelo exposto, o objetivo do estudo foi analisar os músculos vasto medial (VM) e vasto lateral (VL) por meio da eletromiografia de superfície durante 15s de contração isométrica a 20%, 30%, 40% e 50% da contração isométrica voluntária máxima – CIVM com o joelho a 90 graus. Foram utilizados eletrodos de superfície bipolar de Ag/AgCl, posicionados nos músculos VM e VL, um módulo de aquisição de sinais biológicos (Lynx) calibrado com ganho de 1000vezes, filtro de passa alta de 20Hz e de passa baixa de 500Hz. Uma célula de carga foi acoplada perpendicularmente à cadeira de teste especialmente desenvolvida para o estudo e utilizado uma indicador digital para retorno visual. Na análise estatística utilizou-se teste de Friedman e teste de Wilcoxon, e adotou-se nível de significância de p<0,05. Verificou-se que os músculos VM e VL foram semelhantes entre si, e entre as cargas, houve diferença significante entre as cargas de 20% e 40%, 20% e 50%, e 30% e 50% para ambos os músculos, com maior atividade nas cargas de 40% e 50% CVM... Educação ambiental e valores em um programa de formação docente: sentidos construídos a partir das práticas pedagógicas

Diante do processo de degradação do meio ambiente e da crise social que permeia a relação sociedade-natureza fragmentada, hierarquizada, consideramos a Educação Ambiental (EA) como potente instrumento de contraposição e intervenção aos atuais paradigmas de nossa sociedade. Frente a este contexto acreditamos que o processo educativo deve trazer articulado para as práticas educativas as dimensões dos conhecimentos relacionados à sociedade e natureza, aos valores éticos, estéticos e participação política. Reconhecendo a ligação entre essas três dimensões, focalizaremos para esse estudo, entretanto, a dimensão valorativa, necessária ao se propor a construção e reconstrução de novos valores desejáveis no âmbito socioambiental. Dessa forma, percorremos em nossa investigação espaços compartilhados por dezesseis professores das séries finais do ensino fundamental da rede pública do estado de São Paulo, que se envolveram em um programa de formação docente junto ao projeto de extensão Educação Ambiental e o Trabalho com Valores realizado em 2010. Nesse caminho, procuramos investigar a partir dos diálogos empreendidos entre esses professores, o processo da construção da prática docente junto à dimensão valorativa da temática ambiental. Buscamos apontar as possibilidades e os possíveis desafios que se estabeleceram no momento da elaboração do plano de ensino que deveria ser posteriormente desenvolvido na rede básica do estado de São Paulo. Os possíveis espaços de contestação que implicaram na contraposição do modelo dominante e que puderam se fortalecer mediante essa experiência formativa durante o projeto de extensão, bem como as possibilidades e limites oferecidos pela escola para sua realização foram alvo de nossa pesquisa. Espaço geográfico e educação: um estudo sobre o lugar do Conselho de Escola

In this text, the results of our research on the geographic location and establishing relationships with the School Council. We consider some legal aspects added to the evidence gathered in our experience to check how much the School Council is constituted as a non-state public place. The possibility of setting up this feature to see a meaning whose strength lies precisely in a healthy tension between the state and established community. Here is the legislation of the School Council of Suzano (SP) and some aspects of our experience from the practice of teaching at a school in Rio das Pedras (SP). We see the nature of the legal meaning assigned to this place from the study of law, considering the municipal, regional and federal levels. In the sphere of Geography use the concepts of Space, Place and City, as issues that are dear to that science. We used the concept of Topofilia to see if this particular place is the development of an individual's sense of belonging, and how it unfolds in the dynamic implications of the operation of this instrument of popular participation in the formulation of public policy education. Arrecadação de medicamentos como estratégia em educação e saúde

O Projeto de Extensão foi desenvolvido na Farmácia-Escola Prof. Dr. Antônio Alonso Martinez, que faz parte do NAC (Núcleo de Atendimento à Comunidade), pertencente à Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas da UNESP. Desenvolveu-se um Sistema de Gestão Interno para o controle das amostras grátis e medicamentos que são destinados à doação para a população de Araraquara e região. Realizou-se a orientação e conscientização da população sobre o reaproveitamento de medicamentos e amostras grátis que não seriam mais utilizados e que estavam dentro do prazo de validade. A divulgação foi efetuada com folder explicativo que foi distribuído na Farmácia-Escola, em consultórios médicos e nas faculdades da UNESP do Câmpus de Araraquara. Além disso, houve divulgação na Semana de Atenção Farmacêutica Estudantil (SAFE) e no site e jornal da EPTV. O prazo de validade de cada produto foi verificado e a dispensação desses medicamentos foi feita mediante a apresentação de prescrição médica. Além disso, realizou-se a Assistência Farmacêutica ao informar ao paciente os detalhes da posologia e possíveis interações medicamentosas, de modo a esclarecer eventuais dúvidas dos pacientes. Os medicamentos mais doados foram anti-hipertensivos e hormônios, refletindo no maior número de formas farmacêuticas doadas como sendo comprimidos e cápsulas. O objetivo da divulgação foi alcançado com o aumento de doações realizadas nos meses subsequentes ao início da mesma e com o aumento de 61,9 % em relação ao ano de 2012

Casos de ensino relacionados à educação física escolar: uma produção dos alunos do ensino médio

Teaching cases are records, through written narratives, of an academic episode or incident, they appear in educational scenery as a rich strategy not only for the teacher's conformation but also for their investigation. The bibliography shows that young students are still not very much investigated and it contributes to the establishment of negative images of this social subject. In this sense, the objective of this work is to analyze the stories and episodes, called teaching cases, in narrative style, written by students from High School about their physical education classes. The participants of this study are High School students from two public schools from two cities in the countryside of São Paulo state. The researcher stayed in the schools for nine months and in this meantime she made contact with the students, asking, for the ones who showed interest, the construction of teaching cases. For this interested students, the researcher explained researcher explained what teaching cases are, as well as, she presented a template to guide them in the production. At the end of this process, twenty teaching cases were delivered to the researcher. They were analyzed under the qualitative approach, valuing the expressive wealth in the narratives, complemented by the interviews with the authors. Inset the mosaic of narratives and interviews, showing a variety of experiences and possibilities of distance and approximation of the students to the physical education classes, we can indicate that from the 20 cases, only one was set as a total distance from the physical education classes (this is the student's situation since she was in the second grade from elementary school). Mentioning the positive experiences and the approximation to the physical education classes, the association of teaching cases and interviews showed that seven students lived the context and until today present an affective proximity to the classes. As fundações de apoio às universidades públicas: efeitos da reforma do Estado na educação superior brasileira

The article discusses support foundations for public universities starting from the effects of State reform on Brazilian higher education in the 1990s. Based on Max Weber’s Comprehensive Sociology and on bibliographical and documentary research, it socio-historically circumscribes the management model of State administration and the concept of foundation. As one identifies the intersections between the guidelines of support foundations and the purposes of managerial administration, one understands the significance of such institutions for university management and the tendency towards commodification of Brazilian higher education.

A problematização da docência universitária no contexto do capitalismo universitário

The university environment is in metamorphosis, in a possibility of its recreation in the presence of a knowledge revolution at full XXI century. Its structure, based at a science model, presents itself undermined by not breaking the stagnation in a world that inaugurates boundaries of uncertainty for all humanity participants. From that perception, this work intend to understand how the globalization has been reduced the workforce of the university teacher. Moreover, how the hegemonic groups, derived from insertion of capitalism and globalization, root themselves in the academic environment – before considered a space of autonomy – is transforming the teaching profession through mechanisms of alienation and doctrinairism that disseminate the heteronomy as alternative for maintenance of dogmas and, therefore, certainties.

Planejamento Urbano e participação popular: há uma fórmula para a cidade que sonhamos?

O texto é uma nova aproximação dos autores a um tema cujo núcleo é a questão da gestão meio ambiental com enfoque na sustentabilidade. A preocupação aqui apresentada refere-se à questão da participação popular e traz alguns exemplos quanto ao protagonismo do Estado em relação ao tópico. Mostra que a legislação brasileira é atualíssima em relação ao assunto e que ela estaria em condições de lidar com as “ruínas”, com as “regressões” resultantes de uma visão de progresso que marca o processo civilizatório ocidental. Sugere a necessidade de “alargar os espaços de participação da grande massa popular nas decisões”. Reconhece, nesse quadro, a importância da mudança da realidade através da mudança do próprio sujeito da transformação. E, justo por reconhecer isso, aponta a fundamentalidade da educação ambiental. Pede ajuda a exemplos tirados de Araraquara, cidade do interior paulista para mostrar os limites e as possibilidades de avançar em um paradigma de participação popular na construção de uma sociedade sustentável.

Projeto de intervenção em educação sexual com educadoras e alunos de uma pré-escola

Childhood sexuality is a polemic theme among pre-school educators. This text describes an extension project that aimed to observe the manifestation of children’s sexuality in a pre-school and to intervene by offering a space for dialogue, reflection and better understanding about childhood sexuality. The participants were seven teachers and whole group of children from a selected pre-school. It was observed (1) among the educators: the different games applied according to gender; how tolerant the teachers were regarding to boys bad behavior; vigilance against the homosexuality and constant motivation to female vanity and beauty. (2) Among the children: sexist stereotypes; manifestations of racism and prejudice; curiosity and interest about the body and sexuality and the use of insulting words concerning body beauty. The teacher education discussed theoretical and practical issues about the development of the sexuality in the childhood and the sexual education of their students. The project observed that a sexual education project can be put into practice in a pedagogical and ethical way in a pre-school environment.
