Evidence Algorithm and Processing Formalized Mathematical Texts

The goal of a research programme Evidence Algorithm is a development of an open system of automated proving that is able to accumulate mathematical knowledge and to prove theorems in a context of a self-contained mathematical text. By now, the first version of such a system called a System for Automated Deduction, SAD, is implemented in software. The system SAD possesses the following main features: mathematical texts are formalized using a specific formal language that is close to a natural language of mathematical publications; a proof search is based on special sequent-type calculi formalizing natural reasoning style, such as application of definitions and auxiliary propositions. These calculi also admit a separation of equality handling from deduction that gives an opportunity to integrate logical reasoning with symbolic calculation.

O Uso da tecnologia de informação para a educação a distância no ensino superior - estudo dos cursos de administração de empresas (aprofundamento e ampliação da amostra)

O estudo dos diversos modelos pedagógicos dos cursos a distância utilizados nas principais Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) brasileiras pode estimular a análise dos profissionais envolvidos com a Educação a Distância (EAD) e, que estejam enfrentado um processo de escolha de uma metodologia para melhor servir aos estudantes que não podem ou optam por não vir para o campus da IES. Um dos principais desafios para as universidades que estão se lançando na EAD é buscar uma linguagem pedagógica apropriada à aprendizagem mediada pelas diversas mídias disponíveis. A ação da tutoria é um elemento essencial, sendo uma das determinantes do sucesso do curso. Neste novo modelo de educação os tutores desempenham mais o papel de facilitadores do que de especialistas, pois os cursos são menos estruturados e mais personalizados, cabendo aos próprios alunos cuidar de sua instrução. O controle sobre o andamento do curso, assim como o acompanhamento permanente do trabalho de professores, dos tutores, dos estagiários de atendimento e da secretaria, são igualmente cruciais, pois a interação com o aluno pode se dar de inúmeras formas e todas elas são essenciais ao sucesso da aprendizagem. A estruturação de uma equipe especializada, composta de pessoas que entendam de tecnologia e de pedagogia e, que trabalhem de forma coesa, podem garantir uma melhor performance da aprendizagem do aluno. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é, num primeiro momento, fazer o levantamento das diversas metodologias e técnicas adotadas nos cursos a distância oferecidos por instituições de ensino superior (IES) no Brasil para, com base nos dados da pesquisa, efetuar uma análise comparativa a fim de identificar formas de interação e suporte aos alunos semelhantes entre as universidades, ou seja, grupos que possuam características similares tanto relacionados aos projetos pedagógicos de seus cursos, quanto aos materiais utilizados, a estruturação dos cursos, formas de interação aluno/professor, suporte ao aluno, público alvo, tecnologias utilizadas e sistemas de avaliação adotados.

A educação das crianças "carentes" nas classes de adaptação: uma forma de controle social

A proposta básica de nosso estudo está na preocupação de identificar os princípios de uma modalidade de educação: o atendimento compensatório/remediativo, destinada às crianças das classes "desfavorecidas", os alunos "carentes", e a criação de um espaço necessário ao processo de educação dessas crianças, designado oficialmente de "Classes de Adaptação". Para dar conta de tal proposta, definimos como objeto de estudo o discurso pedagógico, como discurso dominante, dando relevo às formulações referentes à "carência", às questões levantadas em torno da criação das "Classes de Adaptação" e ao discernimento da função social de sua criação e utilização. A análise das formulações passa pela compreensão das categorias pertinentes: "marginalização cultural", "privação cultural", "marginalizado cultural", "cultura da pobreza". " Rede teórica" (cf. Foucault) que nos ajudou a pensar a importância do tema da "carência" (e do seu complemento, a "compensação"). A análise mostra que, a pretexto de "compensar" as "privações" (ou "carências") das crianças "desfavorecidas", pelas dificuldades de aprendizagem que apresentam na escola, essas crianças são encaminhadas às Classes de Adaptação, que visam disciplinar, ou seja, torná-los úteis e dóceis, em função do sistema de produção. O entendimento dessa perspectiva leva-nos a perceber as dificuldades que essas crianças apresentam na escola, não como "inadaptação cultural", concepção que em geral reproduz a versão da ideologia dominante, difundida pela escola, e sim como um problema político, em que a origem social tem um peso fundamental na sua identificação, enquanto "carentes".

O campo em revista: agrarismo e modernismo no Estado do Rio de Janeiro nos anos de 1920

O presente trabalho pesquisa como o campo foi interpretado nos anos de 1920 pelos intelectuais fluminenses. Por meio da analise de três revistas – Illustração Fluminense (1921-1924), A Agricultura Fluminense: revista da Sociedade de Agricultura e Indústrias Ruraes (1926) e A Fazenda Fluminense (1929-1930) – busca-se compreender como o rural foi uma via alternativa para a modernização do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. A revista foi um gênero de imprensa símbolo da modernidade que produzia novas sensibilidades e comportamentos em uma época de transformações. A economia fluminense encontrava-se em crise desde o final do século XIX fazendo com que o Estado passasse a ter um papel secundário na política nacional republicana. O projeto das revistas agrícolas analisadas desejavam reconstruir essa identidade fluminense ao propor um campo modernizado, com novas técnicas de cultivo, com políticas de diversificação agrícola, com investimentos na educação rural e com pequenas propriedades. O rural, tantas vezes ligado ao “atraso”, integrou as propostas modernistas fluminenses discutidas no início do século XX.

Apocalypse now e o coração das trevas: o embate entre indivíduo e sociedade

O filme Apocalypse Now (1979), de Francis Ford Coppola, inspirado no romance O Coração das Trevas (1902), de Joseph Conrad, discute o conflito entre indivíduo e sociedade no contexto da Guerra do Vietnã, nos anos 60 e 70 do século XX. Este trabalho pretende mostrar, embasado pela Semiótica francesa, as estratégias utilizadas pelo diretor para explicitar essa oposição na linguagem cinematográfica e preservar a fidelidade temática em relação às questões abordadas pelo livro, passado durante o Imperialismo britânico na África, no século XIX.

Parcerias público-privadas em educação: novos arranjos na agenda internacional da educação

A intensificação das dinâmicas da globalização nas últimas décadas tem impulsionado a influência de organizações e redes globais de múltiplos atores que atuam no campo das políticas educacionais. O movimento de desterritorialização do fazer político abre espaço para iniciativas de natureza diversa, tanto do ponto de vista da sua esfera de atuação quanto dos atores envolvidos. No contexto dessas novas articulações, iniciativas marcadas pelo envolvimento do setor privado na educação pública têm se desenvolvido em um arranjo complexo referido como parcerias público-privadas em educação. A presente pesquisa analisa essas parcerias em educação, que surgem em um cenário de transformações no próprio funcionamento e organização dos Estados e nas relações que se estabelecem para além das suas fronteiras. Tendo em vista a complexidade do tema e a fim de investigar como ele se traduz e se desenvolve localmente, três experiências são analisadas com maior profundidade: o Chile, com seu sistema de escolas subvencionadas, os Estados Unidos, com as charter schools e a Holanda, que tem seu sistema educacional historicamente estruturado a partir do conceito de school choice. A partir da análise conceitual sobre as parcerias público-privadas em educação e do aprofundamento da pesquisa nesses casos representativos, esta dissertação busca problematizar esse arranjo nas politicas públicas de educação e evidenciar como o seu desenvolvimento está articulado com instituições e processos que transcendem o enquadramento dos Estados-Nação.

A gestão de processos no setor público: um estudo de caso dos processos de pensão por morte do Rioprevidência

Este estudo objetivou verificar as consequências do BPM nos processos de pensão por morte do Rioprevidência. Para isso, foram analisados três processos de trabalho executados pelo setor de atendimento do Rioprevidência, autarquia previdenciária do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, quais sejam: Habilitação à pensão por morte; Revisão de pensão e Auditoria de benefícios. O estudo se justifica face à escassez de trabalhos que apontem resultados de otimização de processos de trabalho em organizações do setor público, uma vez que a maior parte dos estudos existentes é voltada para a gestão de processos em empresas privadas e, aqueles que focalizam no setor público, normalmente apontam as diferenças com relação ao setor privado, ou seja, pouco se fala do resultado das transformações. Para alcançar esse objetivo, foi realizado um estudo de caso, com análise de conteúdo de dados e documentos, bem como modelagem dos processos selecionados, visando identificar as lacunas existentes antes do BPM, bem como de que maneira os processos foram impactados. Como contribuição prática, espera-se que o resultado sirva de incentivo aos demais órgãos públicos para implementação de uma gestão com foco em processos e aja como instrumento facilitador de uma melhor gestão pública.

Modelo de decisão multicritério para seleções interciclo das universidades novas: estudo na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte

The discussions wherein develop proposals for university reform in Brazil include, among other things, the conception of the university titled "New University", whose structural origin comes from the bill of higher education reform and unification of the foundations of education European upper (Bologna process). At its core, the Bologna process has imposed a series of transformations, among which, the promotion of mobility, as a stimulus to interinstitutional cooperation to enable an better and bigger qualification of the students. Nevertheless, what we see is that this point is one of the main points made flawed by Brazilian institutions that have adopted this model of higher education. An example is the Bachelor of Science and Technology - BC&T, Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, where there are problems of the internal order, represented by the problem of the reusing of the disciplines, such also of external order, in cases of transfers interinstitutional. Because of this, and knowing that this is a typical problem in which multiple criteria are involved, the aim of this study is to propose a multicriteria model for selection of interciclo of the BC&T of the UFRN which addresses the issue of mobility. For this, this study was of exploratory and study case nature, use as tools of data collection, the bibliographic and documentary research, as well as semi-structured interviews. For the elaboration of the model, were used the five phases most commonly used in the modeling of problems in operational research in a sample of 91 students of BC&T. As a result, we obtained a model that addresses the issue of internal and external mobility of the school and that, moreover, was also more robust and fair than the current model of BC&T and also what is used in other courses of the UFRN, taking into consideration the expected results by the decision makers

O Sangyo em Dolls: um encontro do Bunraku com Takeshi Kitano

This work aims to investigate the relationship between the Bunraku theater and the film Dolls (2002), by the Japanese director Takeshi Kitano. To do so, it was initially done a theoretical study of this theater, detailing its key elements, and thus allowing a direct analysis of the film to be made. The main objective here was to reveal the film‟s connections with the Bunraku. The Sangyo refers to the simultaneous presence of three arts in the Bunraku theater: the narrative, the music and the manipulation of puppets. In Dolls, the director Takeshi Kitano presents a narrative through three different stories, all built with references to the Bunraku. As in the theater the three distinct arts harmonize on stage, in Dolls three separate stories will perform in harmony within the film. By confronting the Bunraku Theater with the film Dolls, the intention is to establish the connections between the scenic language of the Bunraku, the dramaturgy of Chikamatsu and also the cinema of Kitano. These connections allow to the understanding of how characteristics of a secular art, governed by strong rules and conventions, can be presented again through another language: the cinematic language and its particular set of codes and conventions

This research aims to investigate how the stage lighting can be articulated in the creation of theater actor process. To we reach this reflection, it is necessary to understand the space of the rehearsal room, where the actor works as a place where their function receives influences of other artists who are creating the spectacle.Collaborative processes are analyzed three Cia de Teatro Engenharia Cênica: Irremediável, 2007; Doralinas e Marias , 2009; O Menino Fotógrafo, 2011, aiming to understand the collaborative theater potentializes, the intersection and the exchange of experiences in the rehearsal room, collaborating actively for the training of persons involved in creating the show. The research proposes an investigation of how the creative process of stage lighting is gaining ground in the rehearsal room in the language of theater directing, showing mainly how is your "co-evolutionary" creation with the creative process of the actor

Anonimato e fama no reality show BBB 3

In the present work we make an incursion about the Reality Show, in a specific study of the program Big Brother 3 (BBB 3) approaching the question of Anonymity and Fame, though of its Narratives Strategic. We search to explain phenomenon of transformations of anonymous people in celebrities, showing all net of relationships established by the participants of BBB 3, during the together in the setting house, stage of the tram that tells the daily one of a group of youngs. Supported in concepts of it and Reality Show, the work is link the theories semiotic of means, proposal for Algirda Julien Greimas. We stand out strategies of the program, showing that they on the basis of structuralize elements fiction that stimulate and seduce the receiving public. How empirical reference, the work bases on the program Big Brother Brazil, shown for the Rede Globo de Televisão opened canal, in period of January 14 to April 01 of 2003. Break: o grito corporal da periferia

In order to question a sociology as it considers appropriate the body dimensions, which contributes in a mean singular in relation to body, not only as a matter, but mainly as a producer of knowledge, our research shows a reflection on corporality as the production of knowledge and to understand different perspectives and social logic here in contemporaneity, whose rationality seems to be placed in question through a performance expressed, a lot of 'breaks', including the space, which the dancer break appropriates of a reversed form and not more than linear. Our problem is the possibility of a greater understanding of this young body with dance the break, is not only 'breaking' his body, but fluent in their own body fragments, producing probably a break in relation to a dominant power established, by creating a kind of 'social resistance' to provide another sense for his life, out of the senses by the dominant of a social field. This is the area of production of knowledge, of the 'body' that cries keep our eyes, the challenge of dive in the depth of gestures, beyond the physical structure, restoring in a strong political constitution and cultural in so far as this body faces. The body as spectacular becomes 'cause and effect' of communication, this body is not only individual, it is not expression only for itself; when the young dance outside their walls individuals, makes it relational, turning to relate with the other, with the space, time and the world. Antonin artaud: a crueldade pelos desenhos e autorretratos

Antonin Artaud, a name that reminds us of areas ranging from theater to poetry, linguistics to psychoanalysis, is a multipurpose name that transits as poet, painter, writer, actor, screenwriter, playwright and theater director. Artaud s route is raw material for researchers of various hues interested in a life and work that allows panning in different fields of knowledge. It raises the question of language and manipulation of signals in terms of magical forces and the relationship maintained through them with the cosmos and the divine. Artaud searches through a language of signals, gestures and objects that express themselves by objective forms and the use of words as solid objects. For him, the language of words must give way to the language of signals, whose objective aspect is what strikes us most immediately. Our work indicates the possibility of realization and recognition of the aesthetic of cruelty present in the writing drawings of artaudian s work, realizing thus, that art as a record of culture hence as double of life allows us a more critical and transforming look to the society, thinking about the aesthetics of cruelty as Artaud proposes and thinks cruelty: as appetite for life. Our dialogue held during the construction of this journey has the company, besides the one of Antonin Artaud, other authors such as Jacques Derrida, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guatarri, among others which, during the hike and framing of this route help us to think about the aesthetics of cruelty in an Artaudian perspective
