Acupuncture is a technique belonging to traditional Chinese medicine that has existed for over 3000 years. It consists of stimuli by pressure, needling, heat and electrical stimulation of the skin at specific points to restore the health of patients. This technique has been increasingly incorporated into the West and therefore the research explaining its various mechanisms become very important to translate these ancient skills. A Gestão de Relações Públicas em culturas organizacionais conflituosas: caso AB InBev

Cultural clashes are part of the intercultural relationships, and especially in the organizations, they cause differences interfering in the process of sharing experiences, expertise and coexistence. This study outlines some communicational actions, built to improve the management of intercultural relations in organizations. This study also is related to the sharing and discussions on the communication planning process and its importance in intercultural differences detained and promoting interfaces between public of “different worlds”. The discussion is supported by theoretical theory of organizations and organizational culture in order to demonstrate a number of aspects related to this subject, which are directly accustomed to public relations activities. It also presents an analysis of the multinational AB InBev, in order to illustrate the process of knowledge and relationships that is built through the construction of the meaning in intercultural environments, as is the case of this organization

Influência da luz LED em culturas de células-tronco mesenquimais in-vitro

Stem cells are defined as cells capable of self-renewal and differentiation into specialized cells when submited to external signalings in the enviroment. Among adult stem cells, mesenchymal cells occupy an important position because they can differentiate into mesodermal cells such as osteoblasts, adipocytes and chondrocytes. Cell therapy consists in the use of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) in the treatment of degenerative diseases and harmed tissue reconstruction. Due to the longstanding and costly procedure for cultivation of MSC, it was proposed the use of low power light sources, such as light emitting diodes (LED), to optimize these factors. Recent works have shown a series of results from the influence of LED light on biological tissues such as increased rate of cell proliferation, increased RNA, DNA and ATP synthesis rate. The purpose of this study is to compare the biomodulator effect of LED light set at wavelengths 630nm ± 10nm and 805nm ± 10nm on the mesenchymal stem cells proliferation. For this, the mesenchymal stem cells culture adopted the procedure used in the Departament of Animal Reproduction and Veterinary Radiology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of Botucatu. MSC were obtained from an adult horse bone marrow, and isolated by density gradient separation, with the FICOLL reagent and by centrifugation. The pellet containing the stem cells was removed and these were placed in low glucose DMEM culture medium, containing 10% fetal calf serum and antibiotics. The material was observed daily by inverted microscopy for monitoring the progression of the cells and subsequently the amount of cells were counted in a Neubauer counting chamber. Marchetto Patrícia BorbaNa sociedade contemporânea, além da esfera pública de poder, possuímos uma esfera privada de poder, na qual se encontra grandes empresas multinacionais. Esses novos “detentores do Poder” são particulares, grupos ou pessoas, que se tornaram de certa forma desproporcionais socialmente em relação ao restante da sociedade. Neste patamar se encontram as grandes indústrias farmacêuticas, as quais além de possuírem uma função de suma importância para a sociedade mundial concentram grande poder econômico, social e até mesmo político. Desta forma, observa-se a existência de uma responsabilidade social das indústrias farmacêuticas vinculada com a necessidade de respeitar certas diretrizes incluídas na temática da bioética, já que trabalham com a ciência estritamente relacionada com a saúde e a vida da pessoa humana, e dos Direitos Humanos em geral. No entanto, tais indústrias por vezes acabam praticando ações que desrespeitam tais preceitos, como a realização de pesquisas científicas com seres humanos sem respeito as normas que tutelam a matéria e gerando verdadeira lesão aos Direitos Humanos, causando um verdadeiro terror científico. Esta relação tirana de poder que as grandes indústrias farmacêuticas impõe perante a sociedade deve ser tutelada pelo Direito Penal, sobretudo, para além dos limites dos Estados em que ocorrem as condutas, buscando uma tutela penal internacional. Desta forma, o presente trabalho pretende demonstrar a importância da existência de uma tutela internacional, com a possível utilização do Tribunal Penal Internacional e o enquadramento de tais condutas como crimes contra a Humanidade.

As duas culturas: Antonio Candido e a formação da sociologia e da literatura no Brasil

These processes and explanations look at for functional correlations between elements and system by mean of relationship between authors-works-receptors, nevertheless, it must to investigate the individual contributions of authors and works to formation of shapes and directions of system.

Culturas e epistemologias do sul: as relações internacionais traduzidas pelos movimentos sociais da América Latina

Desde perspectivas poscoloniales, se pretende comprender el tema de la mirada latinoamericana sobre las Relaciones Internacionales, teniendo como ejes las formaciones de identidades de la "periferia" del sistema internacional, las cuales poseen reminiscencias de los procesos coloniales. Por lo tanto, iniciamos con las siguientes preguntas: "¿Cuál es el papel de la cultura en la política mundial?", "Es posible entender las Relaciones Internacionales como un campo de conocimiento sin tener en cuenta las voces silenciadas por los procesos históricos de colonización?", "¿Cuáles son las características del sistema internacional actual y cuál es la relación entre ellas y los procesos locales de subordinación en América Latina? ". En base a estas preguntas, tratamos de contextualizar la disciplina de RI como poseedora de dinámicas de poder internas, que son influenciadas por la coyuntura jerárquica y colonial del sistema internacional, configurando, así, un círculo de prácticas y fundamentos teóricos que afectan localidades fuera de los grandes centros de poder.
