Turismo inducido por el cine: aplicación del caso a la ciudad de Barcelona

Este trabajo intenta abordar el fenómeno del turismo de cine, fenómeno que ha provocado numerosas investigaciones y trabajos acerca del papel del cine en el ámbito turístico y su capacidad de difundir y consolidar imaginarios. Algunos de estos trabajos no aportan novedad cayendo frecuentemente en repeticiones y en análisis experimentales que sólo reportan datos estadísticos pero no avanzan en la investigación de su naturaleza, más compleja de lo que a simple vista parece. Barcelona, como ciudad icónica que está de moda, está huérfana de estudios acerca del fenómeno del turismo de cine, y de los impactos que recibe procedentes del mismo. El centro de interés y de estudio turístico gira sobre todo en torno al turismo cultural, de negocios y de cruceros, tal vez porque sus impactos son más directos y el turista potencial está más identificado. Se parte de la base que primeramente debemos analizar la situación que vive la producción cinematográfica en la ciudad – fuente indispensable para que los diferentes proyectos cinematográficos puedan realizarse y así permitir la aparición de nuevas películas – que darán lugar a su posterior influencia y beneficios, ya conocidos y esperados. Una vez se tiene la "materia prima", se trata de comprobar si Barcelona la aprovecha – y por lo tanto se realizan las acciones y esfuerzos necesarios para que así suceda – como herramienta de promoción turística por parte de las Administraciones Públicas, en la medida de lo posible atendiendo a los numerosos estudios que tratan el tema

El desarrollo local en la ciudad media europea ante los proyectos de T.A.V.

La ciudad media o intermedia europea ha sido calificada de «OGNI» (Objeto Geográfico No Identificado) por la falta de teorizaciones propias. Esta afirmación es especialmente cierta en el campo del desarrollo local, en las particularidades que juegan en el proceso de aprovechamiento de los recursos locales para crear un desarrollo endógeno. Esta investigación pretende, en primer lugar, recoger las opiniones de varios autores e instituciones para definir las características cuantitativas y cualitativas de esta realidad urbana. En segundo lugar, se quiere contextualizar la ciudad media en el territorio europeo y en las políticas a esta escala. Finalmente, se describen tres ejemplos de desarrollo local en ciudades medias a partir de la implantación del Tren de Alta Velocidad para mostrar cuáles son los factores diferenciales del desarrollo local en este fenómeno urbano

1228-013 Center Lake Watershed Final Report

A targeted approach is being used in the Iowa Great Lakes Watershed with a keystone project featured within this project application in the heavily urbanized Center Lake Watershed. As identified in the Iowa Great Lakes Watershed Management Plan, urban runoff is the only remaining watershed concern in the Center Lake Watershed as the map in the attachments clearly shows. Fully one third of the watershed concerns of Center Lake will be treated through the installation of 7 keystone urban practices and will remove 63 pounds of phosphorous from entering the lake annually. Due to the interconnectedness of the Iowa Great Lakes (IGL), the watershed has been broken down into sub units called Resource Management Areas (RMA's) for priority practice implementation. This project will mesh with the existing Iowa Great Lakes Watershed Management Plan by reducing pollutant loads from the highest priority RMA's which are resulting in impaired water bodies. The majority of the funding needed for the specific practices specified in this proposal has already been secured through the Iowa DNR Section 319 and Lake Restoration Programs, The Water Quality Commission and the City of Spirit Lake. This funding request will simply bring the overall cost of these keystone practices into the range of affordability for the committed funders and the City of Spirit Lake
