The objective of this study was to describe the genetic diversity and structure of the largest Pe-duro population by assessing variation at ten autosomal microsatellite (STR) loci and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences. The mean expected heterozygosity was 0.755, the mean observed heterozygosity was 0.600 and significant inbreeding coefficient (Fis) and deviations from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in most of analyzed loci demonstrate the impact of inbreeding and homozygosis on this population. A more in-depth genetic analysis could be achieved by expanding the STR list. The analysis of mtDNA provided evidence of ancestral African taurine haplotypes in Pe-duro and excluded maternal Zebuine introgression. In this report, the main Pe-duro population is genetically portrayed by sampling approximately 40% of it. As this herd represents the core of the Pe-duro conservation program, these findings are of outstanding value for the management and preservation of this Brazilian 'native' cattle breed.

O sistema estuarino-lagunar da Bacia do Pina e Rio Capibaribe situa-se no Recife (PE) Brasil, formado pela confluncia dos rios Capibaribe, Tejipi, Jiqui, Jordo e Pina, de grande importncia para a Regio Metropolitana do Recife. A variao vertical da porcentagem de carbonato de clcio (CaCO3) no ambiente e a susceptibilidade magntica so ferramentas utilizadas para identificar o processo sedimentar dominante durante a deposio em ambientes costeiros e marinhos, podendo ser de origem marinha ou continental. Foi recuperado um testemunho, com 109 cm, localizado no setor mdio do sistema estuarino. Os valores de susceptibilidade foram obtidos com o medidor da marca Bartington MS 2C, descritos visualmente quanto a granulometria e estruturas sedimentares, sub-amostrados em intervalos de 2 cm para a %CaCO3. Os valores de susceptibilidade variaram de 1 a 24 SI, os valores de carbonato variaram de 1,56 a 41,17 %. De acordo com a descrio visual foi observado a presena de granocrescncia ascendente entre areia fina a mdia, cascalho biodetrticos, fragmentos de CaCO3, camadas de lama com matria orgnica, fragmentos plsticos em algumas profundidades e a presena de uma camada de cascalho terrgeno. Por ser um ambiente de transio continental/marinho, a variao da sedimentao possivelmente est associada ao regime pluviomtrico, onde em perodos chuvosos o sedimento fino presente no ambiente remobilizado, e no perodo seco a pouca vazo fluvial favorece a deposio de finos. No intervalo 14 16 cm foi observado a maior porcentagem de CaCO3 indicando influncia marinha durante a sedimentao. Diversos pulsos de sedimentao predominantemente terrgena foram observados na coluna sedimentar, representados por picos mais altos de susceptibilidade magntica provavelmente associados ciclicidade das cheias do rio Capibaribe. As variaes verticais de carbonato e da susceptibilidade obtidas foram importantes na identificao da variabilidade de influncia terrgena ou marinha durante o processo de sedimentao recente no esturio

The thesis has three chapters. The first one focuses in general on the associated employment, trying to give a unitary perspective and to show the several readings given by scholars. In detail, the thesis underlines the peculiar features of the associated employment relationships. The following chapters deal with the contract of associazione in partecipazione labour intensive. In the second chapter, this contract is analysed as it was originally provided by the Civil Code, with references to the relevant jurisprudence. In the third chapter, the thesis stresses the most outstanding characteristics of the contract in recent years, analysing all the legislative reforms in the field (in particular article 86, par. 2, Decree n. 276 of 2003 and its consequences in terms of social contribution), trying to interpret them in the present context.

La tesi di Dottorato espone i risultati dellanalisi condotta su alcune tipologie di canto profano a due parti, osservate nella tradizione orale di specifiche aree rurali: le espressioni diafoniche oggetto di indagine sono state individuate in diverse regioni, prevalentemente nellItalia centro-meridionale e in Sicilia, con alcune propaggini nellItalia nord-orientale e in alcune aree europee abitate da minoranze italiane (Istria slovena e croata). I documenti analizzati sono stati reperiti grazie alla ricerca sul campo e rintracciati anche nelle pubblicazioni discografiche, nei cataloghi dei pi importanti archivi pubblici e privati italiani. Sono stati definiti i caratteri formali dei repertori e lindagine realizzata ha inoltre condotto a una mappatura attestante la presenza di repertori vocali simili in diverse sub-aree della Penisola, confermando la estesa diffusione di pratiche diafoniche tradizionali in Italia. Sulla base di analogie e ricorrenze stato rilevato che le espressioni diafoniche italiane possono essere attribuite a una remota tradizione comune: sebbene le peculiarit relative a ciascun repertorio siano in molti casi abbastanza marcate, le connotazioni strutturali e i modi performativi che distinguono tali repertori pare vogliano indicare di essere di fronte a testimonianze di una tradizione musicale arcaica, in cui possibile individuare procedure e attitudini diafoniche simili e condivise. Lultima parte dellindagine espone alcune riflessioni emerse dal confronto tra le forme diafoniche analizzate e repertori polifonici conservati nella tradizione scritta, prendendo come punto di partenza gli studi di Nino Pirrotta: ne emergono considerazioni per lindividuazione e lanalisi di possibili comuni occorrenze allinterno di pratiche performative localmente convergenti, pur se subordinate a modi di trasmissione diversi (tradizione scritta e non scritta della musica).

This research argues for an analysis of textual and cultural forms in the American horror film (1968- 1998), by defining the so-called postmodern characters. The postmodern term will not mean a period of the history of cinema, but a series of forms and strategies recognizable in many American films. From a bipolar re-mediation and cognitive point of view, the postmodern phenomenon is been considered as a formal and epistemological re-configuration of the cultural modern system. The first section of the work examines theoretical problems about the postmodern phenomenon by defining its cultural and formal constants in different areas (epistemology, economy, mass-media): the character of convergence, fragmentation, manipulation and immersion represent the first ones, while the excess is the morphology of the change, by realizing the fluctuation of the previous consolidated system. The second section classifies the textual and cultural forms of American postmodern film, generally non-horror. The classic narrative structure coherent and consequent chain of causal cues toward a conclusion is scattered by the postmodern constant of fragmentation. New textual models arise, fragmenting the narrative ones into the aggregations of data without causal-temporal logics. Considering the process of transcoding1 and remediation2 between media, and the principle of convergence in the phenomenon, the essay aims to define these structures in postmodern film as database forms and navigable space forms. The third section applies this classification to American horror film (1968-1998). The formal constant of excess in the horror genre works on the paradigm of vision: if postmodern film shows a crisis of the truth in the vision, in horror movies the excess of vision becomes hyper-vision that is multiplication of the death/blood/torture visions and intra-vision, that shows the impossibility of recognizing the real vision from the virtual/imaginary. In this perspective, the textual and cultural forms and strategies of postmodern horror film are predominantly: the database-accumulation forms, where the events result from a very simple remote cause serving as a pretext (like in Night of the Living Dead); the database-catalogue forms, where the events follow one another displaying a central character or theme. In the first case, the catalogue syntagms are connected by consecutive elements, building stories linked by the actions of a single character (usually the killer), or connected by non-consecutive episodes about a general theme: examples of the first kind are built on the model of The Wizard of Gore; the second ones, on the films such as Mario Bavas I tre volti della paura. The navigable space forms are defined: hyperlink a, where one universe is fluctuating between reality and dream, as in Rosemarys Baby; hyperlink b (where two non-hierarchical universes are convergent, the first one real and the other one fictional, as in the Nightmare series); hyperlink c (where more worlds are separated but contiguous in the last sequence, as in Targets); the last form, navigable-loop, includes a textual line which suddenly stops and starts again, reflecting the pattern of a loop (as in Lost Highway). This essay analyses in detail the organization of visual space into the postmodern horror film by tracing representative patterns. It concludes by examining the convergence3 of technologies and cognitive structures of cinema and new media.
