Análisis de experiencias internacionales sobre sistemas nacionales de salud: el caso de Costa Rica

Este informe forma parte de un estudio comparativo de sistemas de salud en Canadá, España y Reino Unido en la OCDE, y Chile y Costa Rica en América Latina, dirigido por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Madrid con la finalidad de informar sobre diferentes alternativas para la constitución de un sistema nacional de salud en México. El propósito del presente documento es describir y analizar la organización, el funcionamiento, la cobertura, la prestación de servicios, y el financiamiento del sistema nacional de salud de Costa Rica. Asimismo, se analiza la actual situación del seguro social de salud y se delinean los principales desafíos que el mismo enfrenta.

Estudio sobre sistemas de permisos comercializables para bonos de carbono en América Latina

El principal objetivo de este estudio consiste en analizar e identificar, de forma preliminar, las opciones que tendría un sistema de permisos comercializables de reducción de emisiones de carbono en países de América Latina, atendiendo a sus potenciales ventajas y desventajas para países específicos como Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Perú y Venezuela.

Percepción de un grupo de mujeres acerca del hecho de ser portadoras del VPH

Background: The possibility to acquire sexually transmitted diseases generates bio-psycho-social conflicts affecting daily life of women. Objective: To investigate the knowledge of women on the concept of being infected by the human papilloma virus (HPV) and to understand the significance they attributed to their condition as HPV carriers. Material and method: It is a qualitative study in which ten women were interviewed, after the result of a cytopathological exam suggesting HPV. Data were collected at the Center of Health School of the Universidade Estadual Paulista -UNESP-Brazil. Results: The significant items were: deception and preoccupation about the cure, since they indicate that it is very deceptive to be infected with an incurable disease by a person whom they trust; the method of having sexual relations and being infected again; the necessity of care and of being optimistic to face the disease and the threat of cervix cancer originating anxiety. Discussion: Orientations made by health professionals were efficacious to clarify the relationship with cancer development. It is possible to understand the necessity of assistance orientations and the opportunity to hear them, offering individualized quality care. This study also offers important elements to reinforce the educational role of health professionals, principally those referring to sexually transmitted infection and cancer, seeking prevention and early treatment with the offered information. However, there is no desire of finishing the subject regarding perception, thus there is much to discover about diseases related to human papilloma virus. Three types of transnational players: differing women's football mobility projects in core and developing countries

Mobile players in men's football are highly skilled professionals who move to a country other than the one where they grew up and started their careers. They are commonly described as migrants or expatriate players. Due to a much less advanced stage of professionalism and production of the game in women's football mobility projects are different. At describing the cases of Brazil, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, Colombia and Portugal, the aim of this paper is to conceptualise an umbrella category for mobile players that can include current realities in the women's game, namely the transnational player who has gained and displays transnational football experience in different countries and socio-culturally contexts. Furthermore, analyses allow introducing two new subcategories besides the “expatriate”, namely diaspora players and new citizens.
