Resumo:
The Jararaca River Basin suffers significative environmental impacts caused by inaccurate land use. In Brazil, the areas for permanent preservation are defined and protected by the 2012 Federal Law 12.651. These areas are located in the bank side and other specific places. The objective of this paper was to analyze the results of possible alternatives in function of different procedures used in the proposal elaboration. The methodology used was the elaboration of a priority map for the recovery of these areas using the Geographic Information System with multicriterial analyses and comparing it with the guidelines from the Jararaca River Basin Management Plan. As a result, there were identified differences in the priorities defined by technical issues from the priorities defined by public consultation process.

Introduction: The formation of Oral Health Team, healthy and ergonomic work conditions influence on quality of dental attendance to patient. Objective: In this observational and cross-sectional study, it was observed the participation of the dental assistants (ASB) on dental team on public health, to verify the items related to health legislation, the existence and distribution of equipment in dental offices. Material and method: The data collection was performed using questionnaires and observations on locals for consultation. It were interviewed 75 dentists from 9 cities of Health Regional Department (DRS) – XV – São José do Rio Preto City and it was evaluated 34 dental offices. Result: Of total 75 dentists, 21 (28%) worked alone and among them, 6 (29%) worked at school and 15(71%) at Health Basic Unit (UBS). From 34 dental offices, 2 (6%) did not show any equipment for sterilization and among those that had it, the autoclave was the most used method (44%). Among the analyzed dental offices, 31 (91%) had dustbin for common waste and 23 (68%) of contaminated waste was inadequate. It was noted that 13 (38%) did not have local to wash de hands; in 23 (68%) there was paper towel; in 20 (59%) there was ideal soap dishes, and the compressor was installed into dental offices in 5 (15%) of local for attendance. In relation to dental offices adequacy for the help work, all of them (n = 19) were dissatisfied. Conclusion: The existence of ASB was present in the Centers of Dental Specialties (CEO) and Units of Family Health due legal exigencies and it were found inadequate healthy and ergonomic conditions, suggesting the necessity of reorganization of w

This article aims to analyze the use of human resource practices in a public organization in Sao Paulo. In this paper we try to answer the question: is the human resource management in the organization Y compatible with the new strategic issues this area? We adopted a qualitative approach, through case study. The primary data were obtained through interviews and secondary data were obtained through analysis of information and documents provided by the studied organization as well as direct observation of organizational routine. The results indicate that, despite the organization uses the term strategic human resources management, it is focused on legal and operational issues. The human resource practices are not integrated and some practices do not exist (career plan and training). Thus, it is believed that if the organization adopts some of the improvements suggested in this article, it will be walking toward a more strategic human resource management entering in the new public management.

This undergraduate research final paper analyzed the communication process carried out by the São Paulo State Water and Sanitation Company - Sabesp from the perspective of public communication, social capital and right to information theories. By monitoring Sabesp's institutional fanpage and website from 24 to 30 August 2015, it sought to assess the performance of Sabesp in disclosing public information on the context of the water supply crisis in São Paulo, concerning the fulfillment of requirements of the Right to Information Law (12.527/2011) and the need for interaction and dialogue between the institution and its stakeholders, taken as principles of public communication. The results suggest that digital media can enhance information flow and contribute to foster public relations and civic participation, but there are opportunities for Sabesp to improve communication and reach greater transparency

During the last decades of the XX century occurred several demographic, cultural and social changes that directly affected the inclusion of women in the labor market. However many of them have found and still find barriers to work in various fields of endeavor and in the case of this study, the sports management. The purpose of this study was to assess through a systematic review, the participation of women in sports management, listing the main characteristics, challenges and difficulties. The research consisted of a systematic review of studies that discuss the thematic related to the participation of women in sport management in Brazil, including the Google Scholar database. The key words used and that generated proceeds were woman, sports management and women in sports administration. In the discussion and results has been possible to list the insert forms in a management position, the main ones being: by invitation, conduction or family relationship. The arguments about the limited participation of women in sports management and their encountered barriers are justified because there is a male domain and prejudice, resulting often the career waiver for these women. The profile of the sporting managers has found a predominance of men aged between 30-49 years old. For unavailability of articles, the present study was restricted to use only one database. In short, there is a lacuna in studies on women's participation in the administration or sporting management, with a prevalence of literature review articles. To expand overview on this issue would be important to carry out quantitative studies. It was concluded that the difficulty of women entering in sports management still seems to be a current problem and can only be minimized from a greater attention from the scientific community. Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir o desenvolvimento territorial sustentável a partir da atuação de diferentes atores sob a ótica da gestão social e o processo de cidadania deliberativa. Analisa-se a construção do "Programa de Manejo Agroambiental da Bacia do Rio Almada" na região pertencente ao território de cidadania Litoral Sul da Bahia. Organizaram-se os dados, as informações e as entrevistas por meio de estudo de caso. Para construção do caso, foi utilizada a triangulação de técnicas da história oral e do sensemaking. O caso em tela contribui para a reflexão sobre os desafios e oportunidades referentes à gestão social, indicando que o processo de cidadania deliberativa pode se constituir em estratégia necessária para o desenvolvimento territorial sustentável. Assim, fica claro que o diálogo, a participação dos atores na elaboração e implantação de políticas públicas é algo complexo, porém imprescindível, quando se almejam transformações das realidades sociais.

A complexidade do desenvolvimento sustentável configura um paradigma em que são necessárias ações efetivas de gestão ambiental que, em última instância, têm relação com a formulação e a implementação de políticas públicas. Para que haja uma efetiva gestão ambiental no âmbito municipal é necessária a participação da sociedade nos processos de gestão. Logo, os conselhos municipais do meio ambiente são peças fundamentais na promoção da gestão ambiental local com vistas a uma melhor qualidade de vida. A literatura enfatiza que a efetividade dessas instâncias está ligada, principalmente, à sua estrutura e funcionamento. Assim sendo, essa pesquisa objetivou a identificação de oportunidades de melhoria na estrutura e no funcionamento do Conselho Municipal de Gestão e Saneamento Ambiental de Santo André (COMUGESAN) como uma contribuição para sua atuação na gestão ambiental. Para tanto, utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e qualitativa, no ano de 2008, caracterizando-se como estudo de caso exploratório no Município de Santo André, SP. Observou-se que a atuação de Conselhos Municipais do Meio Ambiente na gestão ambiental transcende as ações de tomada de decisão, formulação e implementação das políticas locais, constituindo-se, sobretudo, como espaço educativo e de construção da cidadania. Como oportunidades de melhoria, identificaram-se seis aspectos primordiais a serem fortalecidos em sua atuação: estrutura; composição e representatividade; capacitação; educação em meio ambiente; informação; avaliação constante. Com os resultados obtidos, sugere-se que o COMUGESAN adote atividades de capacitação para aperfeiçoar a representatividade, instituindo cursos de formação de conselheiros e atividades em educação continuada, bem como a realização de diagnósticos internos.

Este artigo tem como objetivo levantar e discutir as ações de gestão ambiental e sua interface com a questão habitacional junto à área administrada pela Subprefeitura de Paranapiacaba e Parque Andreense, Santo André-SP, no biênio 2007-2008. O foco do trabalho é a capacidade política e institucional do município criada para tratar de tais questões. Os métodos usados foram pesquisa documental, bibliográfica e de campo, com entrevista a gestores do município. A pesquisa identificou que o município conta com propostas com grande potencial de contribuição para a melhoria da qualidade ambiental e habitacional na área de mananciais, principalmente por seu caráter de integração entre planejamentos. O estabelecimento de conselhos com participação de várias pastas representa um potencial elemento de integração nas ações desses órgãos, permitindo o compartilhamento de temas pertinentes ao longo do desenvolvimento das agendas de forma contínua. Quanto à recuperação urbana e ambiental dos loteamentos irregulares, é possível afirmar que os parâmetros urbanísticos e a definição do uso e ocupação do solo estão intimamente relacionados à qualidade ambiental e precisam ser construídos em conjunto por profissionais da área de urbanismo e da área ambiental, e discutidos com a comunidade local. O formato de gestão na área de mananciais, foco deste estudo de caso no município de Santo André, representa um significativo passo na construção da integração entre os sistemas de gerenciamento de recursos hídricos e de planejamento urbano/metropolitano.

Our study considers the natural resources of the Miombo forests in Cabo Delgado from a broad ecosystems perspective. Thus, our view goes beyond the disciplinary approaches of forestry, agronomy, biology or zoology, and also of the social sciences, namely anthropology, history, sociology, political science or economics. The present study aims to establish a dialogue and create synergies between Miti Ltd. – the logging company and owner of the forest concessions – as well as government and state structures at the various levels and the communities – through the Committees on Natural Resources – in order to promote the sustainable use of resources and ecosystems. The research methodology we used can broadly be described as moderated transdisciplinary interaction for action-research based on the approach known as Learning for Sustainability (LforS, http://www.cde.unibe.ch/Pages/Project/2/14/Learning-for-Sustainability-Extension-Approach.aspx). The research methods used include: LforS seminars; field work; forests observations focusing, among others, on ecosystems, trees, wildlife, and burned areas; visits to farms; and interviews. We conducted both collective interviews and individual interviews, including with key informants. The main results indicate that members of the Committee on Natural Resources have a dual attitude: their statements defend the paradigm of sustainable use of natural resources as well as their own immediate monetary gain. They are willing to apply the values, concepts and theories of sustainable development that underpin the establishment of Committees on Natural Resources if they are paid for their work or if they can derive direct benefits from it, i.e. if they can earn a salary or allowance. If this does not happen, however, they are willing to allow actors to engage in illegal hunting or logging activities. This dual attitude also exists in relation to forestry operators. If the concession workers pay the committee members in cash or provide goods, they can run their business even if they violate the law. Natural forest regeneration in Nkonga and Namiune already shows the impact of such use. Although there are many saplings that could basically ensure continuous regeneration under sustainable management, repeated burning is damaging the young trees, deforming them and killing a great number of them. Campaigns against uncontrolled fires are ineffective because the administrative and political authorities have a dual attitude as well and are also part of the group that uses resources to their own profit and benefit. There are institutional structures within the administration, populations, and communities to perform regulating functions, create and implement rules, punish offenders, and oversee resource use. However, they feel that since they are not paid for performing these functions, they do not have to do so. This attitude shows a lack of awareness, but also indicates a situation where everyone seeks to derive maximum benefits from existing resource use patterns. Anything goes.
