Esta pesquisa identifica como objeto a (s) relação (ões) entre criminalização e miséria e os atos que conduzem à criminalização da miséria nas sociedades modernas, fenômeno que tem relação com o aumento do encarceramento dos segmentos sociais caracterizados como miseráveis. Todos os atos, ações, discursos, táticas, estratégias, percepções, impressões, programas e projetos serviram de base para formar-se uma análise mais completa desse fenômeno. A imagem da miséria associada com a criminalidade é resultado de um processo de pré-construção que, reforçada pelo senso comum, contribui para estigmatizar os segmentos sociais mais vulneráveis da sociedade e também mascara a ausência de políticas públicas de assistência por parte dos governos que evitem as causas de reprodução da criminalidade. As estratégias e táticas de repressão à criminalidade têm ampliado a segregação aos segmentos mais desfavorecidos da sociedade em nome da defesa da ordem pública e econômica. Procuro demonstrar que no atual momento histórico de globalização da economia mundial, argumento que as políticas de segurança pública adotadas em alguns países criminalizam a miséria com encarceramento maciço como solução contra a insegurança econômica e social. Este trabalho tem como finalidade compreender o processo de criminalizarão da miséria e delimita como campo de análise o Sistema Penitenciário do Estado do Pará, as políticas de segurança e de gestão carcerária. O cárcere, como instituição do sistema de segurança pública, é sempre invocado como solução para o problema da criminalidade e o criminoso tomado como ameaça à ordem social.

This study examines some characteristics of the contemporary reality and its influence on the dynamics of the organizational activities, in particular, related to the quality management. Discusses capitalist logic of maximization of profits that has been sophisticated in face of new scenarios that arise with society evolution. It also proposes a reflection on the philosophies and formats of management that fits with the desire to meet the needs of society through the expansion of quality - now a reference for the production processes and management systems. The work highlights the relations between communication and quality, pointing them as fundamental to the use of fissures on the evolution of the capitalist system in developing programs, philosophies and management systems. This paper addresses the difficulties and best practices of a quality system of an automotive parts company. In it will be discussed the features and benefits of the proper use of a system of management and quality assurance. It emphasizes the proper use of tools and methodologies that aim improving the quality of processes and products. It also has some guidance information given by the standards of quality which helps the implementation of the quality system and the standards are important because it attests to the quality of companies. So, this work has as objective to guide the creation and management of the quality system in auto parts companies, which seek an increase in the quality of products and processes, it also helps to certify companies in the current quality standard for the sector, ISO TS 16949, and thus increases the competitiveness of companies in this market. As result, this paper resumes good practices, difficulties and key steps for creating and managing a quality system

Os 13 artigos reunidos neste livro foram primeiramente apresentados em encontro internacional sobre participação, democracia e políticas públicas na América Latina, realizado em 2013 na Faculdade de Ciências e Letras da Unesp. Para os organizadores da obra discutir o tema, principalmente no que concerne à transparência dos sistemas de gestão, é extrema importância para apontar direções para uma renovação política, articulações sociais e desenvolvimento socioterritorial. Eles explicam que a análise de marcos legais, fragilidades institucionais e prática autoritárias permitem enxergar o seu contrário e, com isso, aprimorar a prática de políticas públicas voltadas ao desenvolvimento de um país sustentado na democracia e na cidadania ativa. O livro é divido em quatro eixos temáticos. O inicial apresenta artigos que analisam a cidadania relacionada à saúde, gênero, prevenção ao abuso sexual e juventude. Abarca temas como o Sistema Único de Saúde, os movimentos e grupos feministas e abuso sexual. O seguinte destaca temas ligados à educação, também relacionados à cidadania, como o financiamento da educação e a educação em presídios paulistas. Desenvolvimento e combate às desigualdades sociais norteiam os estudos da terceira parte. São três artigos que tratam da complexidade da produção de políticas baseadas no diálogo entre pares institucionais, como representantes de governos e sociedade civil. O capítulo final é dedicado ao tema controle social e aperfeiçoamento da democracia. Os artigos abordam a questão do monitoramento das políticas e investimentos públicos por parte da sociedade civil.

The consumers' requirements are constantly growing, as well as the concern for the environment. Considering this change of scenario, industrial companies started paying more attention to environmental issues and decided to resort to solutions such as the adoption of the Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001 model. It is believed that the adoption of this model changes the organizational image, both internally and externally. This possible change was the focus of this research, considering that many publics related to certified companies may have the wrong idea about what being a green company really means. The objective of this study is to verify, through a survey research, the relation between the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 with organizational image of Brazilian firms. At first, this paper presents a theoretical review on Environmental Management System, IS0 14001, Organizational image, green Marketing, Greenwashing and Public Relations. Next, the research method is presented, as well as the results obtained through theoretical study, the research application and data analysis, and a brief analysis of the Public Relations' role in the organizational environment at issue. Over the past two years, Brazil has been facing a major water crisis in its history and the state of Sao Paulo is the one that has been going through worst difficulties. In this scenario, all water users should do everything possible so that the consumption of water resources is carried out in a sustainable manner. In this context, the companies responsible for the public water supply must increase the efficiency of water resource management. It is indispensable combating losses in the public supply system. When there is a non-visible leak in a pipe, the wastewater volume can be high, but in this case, the water returns to nature and continues to participate in the hydrological cycle. The economic loss corresponds to the value added to the product water, which includes the intrinsic costs of exploration, processing and distribution. This damage results in a reduced availability of financial resources of sanitation companies to invest in environmentally friendly solutions. This study aimed to diagnose the water distribution system in the city of Guaratinguetá (SP), held by the Companhia de Serviços de Água, Esgoto e Resíduos de Guaratinguetá (SAEG), to propose measures to combat water loss. Among the proposed measures, there is the monitoring of losses, planning for replacement of old pipes and company awareness as a whole in relation to combat water losses

The Information Technology (IT) is increasing his applicability to business, both private and public companies. It is necessary the adequate use of the new technologies and get cooperation and technology acceptance of the system. People tend to resist to the changes, contributing so that the technology is rejected or even it is not recognized as promoting of the changes. This study is relevant and aim to evaluate the impacts of new technologies, considering their users as fundamental factors in the change process. The survey analyzed the advantages and the barriers of the system use in three federal special judicial of Rio Grande do Norte, with data collected in May of 2007, through the application of questionnaires to thirty eight users of the virtual system CRETA. The users' perception was evaluated, under the optics of five variables: efficiency, image, agility, ease of use and quality. Starting from the obtained results, it was evidenced that the implementation of the system felt accordingly the expected and it reached the objectives intended that were: the velocity and efficiency in the path of the lawsuits, larger productivity, resulting in a better quality of the final work introduced to the citizen and proportionate an improvement in the organizational image of the judiciary power

Companies have always been organized by processes, often imperceptible to its employees. With the advancement of technology, organizational processes currently run an organization through computers, and thus generate immediate information that is available to each sector. With the objective of seeking business information in real time, the government created the SPED - Public System of Digital, which involves three subsystems, which are the Electronic Invoice, Digital Accounting Bookkeeping and Digital Tax Bookkeeping. This system is revolutionizing the business structures when gathering, in an innovative way, all information and interlinked business processes. For the implementation of SPED, a revision in the organizational processes is required, since the information is generated and is sent online to the government, without mistakes. Thus the study aimed to analyze the change brought about by the implementation of the Public System of Digital SPED in the main business processes. In order to do so, we have performed a multiple case study involving three companies in the state of Para, two operate in wholesale and one explores agribusiness. The Data collection was performed by accounting professionals, IT and managers. According to the results obtained, it was found that in two companies, the IT infrastructure was capable of deploying the new system without major problems, while one company had more difficulties to cope with the new system. However, all companies had to examine its processes to make the customizations needed to fit. It was also observed that there is no IT Governance in two companies. Therefore, we recommend the use of an appropriate model, not only for the implementation of SPED, but as a way to manage and extract better results from investment in information technology
