The choice Brazilian african study theme in the general education, and particularly in physical education has not advanced as to be themed with the subject matter. Even open to this issue, in 2003 a law was passed introducing an obligation of racial ethnic correlations in Brazil. Law 10.639, changed the LDB (Guidelines and Framework Act, 1996) and establishing the obligation both in elementary school as high school, public and private, the teaching of history and African Culture and African Brazilian. As the main objective of disseminating the importance of valuing the African culture and its legacy, expanding the looks and the knowledge about the culture and history of a people who often are discriminated against and excluded by society. The questions that arise are the following: The physical education teacher know that prerogative? Incorporates the Brazilian african discussion in their classes? Discusses with students these subjects related to corporal practices? Have difficulty in dealing with this issue? What? Thus the aim of this study was to detect whether and how a group of physical education teachers is the Brazilian african theme in their classes, for the fulfillment of the Law 10.639 / 03. The methodology of this study was qualitative descriptive type. Were used for data collection semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The data obtained through interviews with teachers were transcribed, reviewed and classified according to the content analysis. Diabetes mellitus: avaliação do conhecimento de cirurgiões-dentistas em municípios de três estados brasileiros

Introduction: Pathological changes in the bucal cavity associated with Diabetes mellitus (DM) may include gingivitis, periodontal disease, salivary gland dysfunction and xerostomia (dry mouth), susceptibility to bucal infections, burning mouth syndrome, and altered taste. Objective: This study assessed the technical and scientific knowledge of dentists working in primary care in the National Health System (SUS) on the DM. Material and method: The study was conducted in the municipalities of Birigui-SP, Maringá-PR and TrêsLagoas-MS, with the participation of 76 dentists working in the SUS primary care system.These professionals agreed to answer to a questionnaire developed for this study and the results of the questions were submitted to a quantitative analysis. Result: Showed that 94.7% were in contact with diabetic patients; 97.4% know what is DM; about other types of DM, 77.6% said they know, the most mentioned (by 55.9%) was the gestational DM. The DM2 was indicated as the most prevalent by 59.2%; the normal range of fasting blood glucose level was quoted correctly by 2.6% of the participants; obesity was reported by 98.7% of participants as a risk factor for DM; 96.0% stated correctly what are the main signs and symptoms related to Diabetes; periodontal disease was reported by 92.1% as an bucal manifestation in diabetic patients. Conclusion: The dentist needs to develop specific knowledge about DM, being able to identify normal levels of blood glucose and ready to identify and meet the bearer of DM.

Saúde bucal dos idosos brasileiros: alterações estomatológicas na terceira idade

O presente estudo tem como propósito, através de revista de literatura, verificar as principais alterações estomatológicas na terceira idade. O edentulismo ainda é muito comum. O uso de próteses pode ocasionar o surgimento de lesões como estomatite, candidíase, hiperplasias e úlceras. Concluiu-se que a saúde bucal dos idosos brasileiros é precária e o uso de serviços odontológicos bastante incipiente. São necessários investimentos públicos em saúde bucal para reverter essa situação dos idosos com políticas concretas de ações preventivas, educativas, curativas e de reabilitação oral.

O tratamento probabilístico da teoria cinética de colisões em livros de química brasileiros para o ensino médio

This paper presents and discusses an analysis of the approaches and the didactic treatment of the kinetic model of collision between particles in chemical reaction (collision theory model) presented by brazilian chemistry textbooks for the medium level. Our starting point at this search was the correct and scientific model for this theory which is based on random events, but most of all the books investigated does not consider this fact like an important and very precious didactic aspect. We utilized in the investigation the writing discoursive analysis technique.

Mestre Didi: um estudo sobre arte e cultura afro-brasileira

The following study aimed understanding the self-esthetic of the artist-priest Master Didi, doing so a symbolic interpretation of his sculptures, considering his relations with the ritual performance of candomblé, his creative process and his artistic, sociocultural and religious influences. The interpretation of sculptures and comprehension of the process of creation from the artist with focus on the representation of orixás allowed us to evidence the relationship established between the procedures used by the artist to produce his sculptures, the materials used in his work, the relationship of works and religion, with culture and afro-Brazilian art.

ECODESIGN: designers brasileiros de adornos que trabalham com sustentabilidade

The ornaments have always been appreciated by human. And today is obviously the need to include the concepts of ecology in all areas. In this scenario ecodesign becomes a great ally for professionals who work in the making of ornaments, including jewelers. Aiming to decrease and the preservation of noble metals and the use of alternative materials, the ecodesign of adornment makes even more valued and attractive, it promotes sustainable consumption. Based on these concepts, this paper aims to investigate the Brazilian professionals who use sustainable ideas for making your accessories and social work related to this activity.
