Dinâmica da paisagem do município de Cubatão: Crescimento entre portos, indústrias e a Serra do Mar

With more than 60% of its territory under environmental protection, the city of Cubatão shelters the Industrial Pole and is located midway of two great metropolitan regions of State of São Paulo: Grande São Paulo and Baixada Santista. Both the implantation of industries and the construction of highways stimulated a process of migration and irregular occupation of the territory, with significant loss of the original vegetal covering of Atlantic Forest, in addition to pollution of water resources and the soil. The present work analyzed the dynamics of the landscape of a stretch of the city of Cubatão, associated to the Highway System Anchietas-Imigrantes, on the basis of economic cycles and regional public policies, aiming at helping the urban and environmental planning of coastal cities. We used a temporal series of air photographs of five decades and bibliographical surveys on the description of the region occupation. A non planned urban expansion for the city was evidenced, closely related with regional economic cycles and road building, directed to areas adjacent to highways and railroads, marshland and flooded plains landfills and mounts hillsides, including areas near Serra do Mar State Park. One suggests that the questions of environmental and urban planning of coastal cities are dealt with in the regional domain and in a participative way on the basis of studies of economic expansion and tourist activities in Baixada Santista, guaranteeing the maintenance of the remainders of Atlantic Forest in São Paulo coast.

A produção da cana-de-açúcar no Brasil e a saúde do trabalhador rural

Background: The sugar cane production in the country has been raising significantly; however, the rural workers basic health conditions involved in the farming are questioned. Objective: This theoretical paper aimed to investigate the advances in the sugar cane production, as well as its effects on the rural worker health. Methods: A search of articles on scientific database was performed, under the terms sugarcane, cane mower, rural workers, bonfire, in an associate manner, besides bibliographical heap consult. Results: The results have shown that Brazil is one of the biggest sugarcane producers in the world. However, an environment and health worker compromising was identified. Conclusions: Supervisions and governmental measures must be accomplished to mineralize the negative effects ientified.

́Toma que o filme é teú: Sai de Baixo entre o teleteatro e a sitcom

A program recorded in a theater, with the audience, incorporating all of the improvisations and later televised. That was Sai de Baixo, TV Globos program broadcasted between 1996 and 2002. However, a specific episode limit this article. Toma 0que o filmeéteu, 1998, was made alive. Was it a spasm of the old teleplay Or was it just a common sitcom episode To answer these questions, the paper used a case study, bibliographical and documentary research and concluded that this episode was not a brief return of teleplay, having in mind that the fact of being alive is not a requirement to be teleplay, but there are other criteria.

Memórias de um profissional de história

Within the proposed framework for this issue of the journal História da Historiografia, the present article is a concise report on the trajectory of a university professor of history. The author writes on the obtainment of his degree at the USP, his participation in the beginning of undergraduate and graduate courses in the interior of the state of São Paulo, including the experience of taking part in the beginnings of the public university Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). The author also discusses aspects of his academic and institutional life, and reports on the process of his insertion in an established historiographical line of work. It can be introductorily noted that the reader will not always find a linear chronological order, due to the multifaceted nature of the activities of a university professor of history. An additional note is that I have not made complete bibliographical citations, as I understand that the readers are specialists in the historians' craft.
