The profile of students has changed a lot, mainly due to the advent of new technologies, which in attractiveness has attracted the attention of students, and becoming a difficulty the teacher to attract the attention of the student to class. In this sense, it is needed reformulations in pedagogical practice so that the student's attention turns to science, arousing their curiosity. Thus, in Chemistry and Science Teaching, and lectures must encourage discussions about science, and one of the possible ways to insert dynamic classes is by inserting the trial. Thus, this present course conclusion work aims at presenting and discussing the ways in which Experimentation in Chemistry and Science Teaching has been applied in classrooms, the difficulties of its implementation as a teaching methodology, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of their use depending on the type of approach, training teachers, among other factors

This paper discusses the challenges surrounding the implementation of the Music strand of the new syllabus for secondary teachers within the context of emerging trends in pedagogical reform in Queensland, and identifies several areas where research is needed to inform classroom music teaching practice and to guide teacher training programs. Secondary music teachers (Years 8-10) have not had the same systemic, school-based curriculum guidance that was given to teachers in years 1-7. This has resulted in a plethora of teaching and learning practices in lower secondary classrooms, many of which may be more experiential than developmental in approach and which may have little reference to the types of music programs common in primary classrooms.

This study aimed to explore prospective teachers’ performance on recognizing quadrilaterals with their special cases and constructing a hierarchical classification of them. The participants consisted of 44 freshmen studying at a public university’s elementary school mathematics education department. Data was collected with a question form containing two questions at the first day of the geometry course taught in the second term of the first year. For quantifying the data of the first question, while students who identify the prototypes of quadrilaterals and their special cases were given 1 and 2 points for each correct answer respectively, -1 point was given for each incorrect answer. The similarity index was employed to quantify students’ concept maps. We investigated that students could detect the prototypes of the quadrilaterals but not their special cases. Additionally, the similarity index between majority of freshmen’ concept maps and the referent map was found as low or moderate.
