El món dels consultoris privats està experimentant un canvi espectacular en els darrers anys. Les petites clíniques i consultoris que els metges muntaven en una habitació de casa seva o en un petit local ara donen lloc a grans policlíniques amb diverses sucursals, que estableixen acords amb asseguradores. A més, totes aquestes sucursals ofereixen servei a milers de pacients, ja que disposen de més d'una sala d'atenció, cosa que multiplica el volum d'informació. El que es vol fer és una aplicació client-servidor que doni solució a la gestió integral de consultoris i policlíniques. El nom d'aquesta aplicació serà ConsultaRED. ConsultaRED haurà de solucionar tota aquesta problemàtica des d'una òptica oberta i moderna i, potser, arribar a ser d'una gran competència per als productes existents.

Del Dreambox 7000S al Nokia 770 Internet Tablet : Port de VideoLan Client a Maeno per a la reproducció d'un flux mpeg2 per mitjà d'una xarxa sense fils

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és connectar el sintonitzador de televisió per satèl·lit Dreambox 7000S amb el Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. El propòsit d'aquesta aplicació és utilitzar el Dreambox 7000S com una font de streaming mpeg2 i el Nokia 770 com a reproductor portàtil.

Profile of CAMHS service users in the East Midlands

This section uses the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services mapping exercise set up in 2002, currently data is being collected for the 2005 exercise. This mapping is carried out on an annual basis collecting data on the specialist CAMH tier 2-4 services. Tier 1 is cover by professionals such as GPs and school nurses whereas tier 4 are highly specialised tertiary level services, tiers 2 and 3 cover the spectrum in between. The purpose of the mapping is to contribute towards the improvement of mental health services for children and adolescents by informing and supporting the implementation of the Children's Nation Service Framework.

The project objectives were to: - Review the current situation for the population of the East Midlands, across the Tier 4 services and for young people in Out of Area Placements. - Examine current commissioning arrangements across the region and across the agencies of health, social care and education. - Consider the development of a shared framework within which future Tier 4 services could be planned and delivered. - Identify care pathways across the continuum of CAMHS services and highlight any gaps within CAMHS Tier 4 provision.

Cleaning up neighbourhoods - Environmental Problems and Service Provision in Deprived areas

There has been growing concern that the quality of public services can be affected by the nature and scale of problems in deprived neighbourhoods and that poor services can contribute to a widening gap۪ between deprived and non-deprived neighbourhoods. There is also an increased emphasis within national policy on the quality of neighbourhood environments the so-called liveability۪ agenda. This report explores the challenges of delivering street scene۪ environmental services such as street sweeping and refuse collection in deprived and less deprived areas and examines the gap in environmental amenity between these different neighbourhoods. It also contributes to our understanding of the interplay between poor services and neighbourhood decline. The research involved a telephone survey of chief officers in local authority environmental service departments across the UK and detailed case studies of policy and practice in environmental service provision in four local authorities with significant levels of deprivation. Each case study involved work in three neighbourhoods within the authority two deprived and one less deprived as well as focus groups with residents and frontline environmental operatives, interviews with senior council staff and observation on the ground

Scope The Education Strategy for the Children Detention School Service September 2010-2013 has been operating in draft form from 2008 and has evolved to the document it is now. It constitutes the Department of Education and Skills’ (DES) overarching strategy on educational services for children placed in children detention schools and provides an outline of the Department’s role in this sector and provides the broad parameters which inform educational provision in the education facilities attached to these detention schools. Background In December 2005, following a review carried out by the Department of Justice and Law Reform, the Government approved a programme of Youth Justice reforms specifically designed to restructure the youth justice service in Ireland into a more modern and streamlined service.
