Memoria del proyecto de creación de un sitio web corporativo en el marco de la asignatura Administración web y comercio electrónico en entornos de software libre, del Máster de Software Libre de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, y que tiene como fin consolidar las competencias adquiridas a lo largo del mismo.

Ús de Sensor Web Enablement per a gestió de dades marines i accés al servei d'observació de sensors a través de client Android

El present treball és un estudi de l'estat de Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) aplicat a l'àmbit marí d'investigació oceanogràfica. Per assolir aquest objectiu s'han avaluat les diferents solucions d'arquitectura de sistemes més adients a la problemàtica indicada i s'ha dissenyat un client de Sensor Observation Service (SOS) per plataforma mòbil Android que permeti consultar la descripció del sensor (SensorML) i conjunts d'observacions mitjançant estàndards oberts de SWE i peticions web (SOAP). Els dissenys anteriorment indicats han permès que quedés palès l'ampli ventall de possibilitats i avantatges que s'obtenen pel fet d'emprar SWE, ja que ens permet integrar fàcilment les dades proporcionades pels sensors i les pròpies descripcions dels sensors en diferents entorns, tal i com és el cas del disseny presentat en Android, a través d'estàndards oberts independents de les múltiples especificacions de cada fabricant, en un entorn, com és l'àmbit de la investigació marina on hi ha una gran heterogeneïtat de sensors i protocols.

Software libre y Web 2.0 en la Educación Secundaria

Este proyecto ha sido pensado con un triple objetivo: Desarrollar una guía para el profesorado que desee introducirse en el uso de metodología didácticas basadas en Software Libre y la Web 2.0.Escribir un documento de consulta que sirva de base para desarrollar y utilizar diferentes herramientas de Software Libre y Web 2.0 dirigidas a cualquier etapa de la Educación Secundaria (ESO, F.P y los PCPI). Realizar un estudio del uso y conocimiento del Software Libre y la Web 2.0 entre los alumnos de los Programas de Cualificación Profesional Inicial.

Web de control de tráfico marítimo

El proyecto Web de Control de Tráfico Marítimo (WCTM) un proyecto Web que va a gestionar información útil para el Control del Tráfico Marítimo de una determinada zona del mundo. Usa el concepto de arquitectura SOA, una arquitectura que se basa en los servicios Web, proporciona en tiempo real información sobre los buques usando los mapas de Google.

Desarrollo de librería Django para desarrollo de RIAs e implementación de zona privada de portal web sminn.com

El presente proyecto consiste en dos partes bien diferencias: terminar la funcionalidad prevista para el portal web sminn.com en forma de su sección privada para profesionales y experimentar la evolución de dicho portal a una aplicación web compleja tipo "single page RIA" implementando una librería a liberar que ayude al desarrollo de dicho tipo de aplicaciones. De esta forma la primera parte aportará conocimiento de diseño y desarrollo para diferentes aspectos de un portal web estándar sobre Django y la segunda parte aportará un recurso que evolucionará junto a la comunidad de software libre. Dentro del experimento de uso de la librería para una siguiente versión del portal web sminn.com se proponela realización de pruebas de interfaz adaptable.

El propòsit del pràcticum és fer una descripció de com s'ha treballat des de les diferents escoles inscrites. El projecte De l'Everest a Montserrat, vol ser doncs una aproximació a l'ús d'Internet com a eina educativa en centres de primària i secundaria, concretament com a plataforma per al desenvolupament de projectes de col·laboració.

An Ontology for Open Rubric Exchange on the Web

While the Internet has given educators access to a steady supply of Open Educational Resources, the educational rubrics commonly shared on the Web are generally in the form of static, non-semantic presentational documents or in the proprietary data structures of commercial content and learning management systems.With the advent of Semantic Web Standards, producers of online resources have a new framework to support the open exchange of software-readable datasets. Despite these advances, the state of the art of digital representation of rubrics as sharable documents has not progressed.This paper proposes an ontological model for digital rubrics. This model is built upon the Semantic Web Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), principally the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL).

Tècniques de Webmetria : anàlisi de logs i Google Analytics per a la obtenció de variables mètriques del web de la Biblioteca Virtual de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)

This presentation aims to make understandable the use and application context of two Webometrics techniques, the logs analysis and Google Analytics, which currently coexist in the Virtual Library of the UOC. In this sense, first of all it is provided a comprehensive introduction to webometrics and then it is analysed the case of the UOC's Virtual Library focusing on the assimilation of these techniques and the considerations underlying their use, and covering in a holistic way the process of gathering, processing and data exploitation. Finally there are also provided guidelines for the interpretation of the metric variables obtained.

Aplicación web para gestionar el plan docente de la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación

Aquest projecte va ser creat per organitzar el pla docent de la Facultat de Traducció i Interpretació, controlant de forma automàtica les hores dedicades d’un professor al llarg d’un curs. L’aplicació ajuda a emmagatzemar tota la informació necessària i útil referent a totes les funcions d’un professor dins d’una facultat. A més, permet relacionar i mostrar aquesta informació sense la necessitat de consultar altres fonts.

Molecular mechanisms of Trypanosoma cruzi infection by oral route

Frequent reports on outbreaks of acute Chagas' disease by ingestion of food contaminated with parasites from triatomine insects illustrate the importance of this mode of transmission. Studies on oral Trypanosoma cruzi infection in mice have indicated that metacyclic trypomastigotes invade the gastric mucosal epithelium. A key molecule in this process is gp82, a stage-specific surface glycoprotein that binds to both gastric mucin and to target epithelial cells. By triggering Ca2+ signalling, gp82 promotes parasite internalisation. Gp82 is relatively resistant to peptic digestion at acidic pH, thus preserving the properties critical for oral infection. The infection process is also influenced by gp90, a metacyclic stage-specific molecule that negatively regulates the invasion process. T. cruzi strains expressing high gp90 levels invade cells poorly in vitro. However, their infectivity by oral route varies considerably due to varying susceptibilities of different gp90 isoforms to peptic digestion. Parasites expressing pepsin-susceptible gp90 become highly invasive against target cells upon contact with gastric juice. Such is the case of a T. cruzi isolate from an acute case of orally acquired Chagas' disease; the gp90 from this strain is extensively degraded upon short period of parasite permanence in the gastric milieu. If such an exacerbation of infectivity occurs in humans, it may be responsible for the severity of Chagas' disease reported in outbreaks of oral infection.

Adaptive intelligent agent approach to guide the web navigation on the PLAN-G distance learning platform

Hypermedia systems based on the Web for open distance education are becoming increasinglypopular as tools for user-driven access learning information. Adaptive hypermedia is a new direction in research within the area of user-adaptive systems, to increase its functionality by making it personalized [Eklu 961. This paper sketches a general agents architecture to include navigationaladaptability and user-friendly processes which would guide and accompany the student during hislher learning on the PLAN-G hypermedia system (New Generation Telematics Platform to Support Open and Distance Learning), with the aid of computer networks and specifically WWW technology [Marz 98-1] [Marz 98-2]. The PLAN-G actual prototype is successfully used with some informatics courses (the current version has no agents yet). The propased multi-agent system, contains two different types of adaptive autonomous software agents: Personal Digital Agents {Interface), to interacl directly with the student when necessary; and Information Agents (Intermediaries), to filtrate and discover information to learn and to adapt navigation space to a specific student
