The present inquiry has as main objective to understand the process of formation of the international strategies of the exporting companies of fruits of the RN through the theory of the resource dependence. Aiming at to clarify as the companies they can carry through the process of internationalization through this theory had been study the behavior and economic theories of the process of internationalization of companies. Amongst the economic theories they are distinguished the eclectic paradigm of Dunning (1958), Vernon (1669) through the theory of the cycle of the product and Bucley and Casson (1979) with the theory of the international operations. In the mannering boarding they had been investigated the school of Upsala through Johanson and Valnhe (1977) with the concept of the increasing of the markets and in the distance psychic starts and the interaction of the purchaser-salesman of Hallen and Wiedersheim-Paul (1979). In this perspective it observes main the occured changes in the organization in function of this process, following the rules observed by the gradual ingression in the international market, having as base ways of entrances in the external market used by these companies, in view of the frist phase that the company presents of businesses. Ahead of you analyze of these theories the study searches to analyze the convergence of the concepts proclaimed for the theory of the dependence of resources (PFEFFER; SALANCIK, 1978). and strategies of internationalization of the companies. The research is characterized as qualitative case study which adopts and exploratory and analytical type, retrospective matrix. The adopted strategy is of case study and the unit of analysis consisting of the Finobrasa, pertaining company to the Vicunha Group. The main method of collection of data was halfstructuralized interview allied the documentary research that together had presented an empirical perspective of the internationalization process. The analysis and quarrel of the results understand the description and the interpretation of the one of the information through the technique of analyzes of content. Initially the historical of the exportation of fruits of the Rio Grande do Norte with the focus in the region Açu/Mossoró is presented and after that the information of the Finobrasa are presented as base of the study. The main events are identified that had constituted the phases of the strategical model of the company. It was observed that the dimensions most excellent amongst those proclaimed by the School of Uppsala had been the learning, staffs and the step-starts is sufficiently gifts in the reality of the company, as well as the aspects of strategical alliances since the consolidated relationship of the Vicunha Group create a more solid trajectory in the international market allied the conditions created windows of marked . One understands, therefore, that the investigated process still has base the theoretical theories of the internationalization strategies corroborating for the theoretical convergence of the rules proclaimed for the theory of the dependence of resources.

Em Portugal, assim como um pouco por todo o mundo, a maioria das empresas são de cariz familiar. A predominância destas empresas faz com que as mesmas tenham um papel relevante na economia, seja pela criação e distribuição de riqueza seja pela criação de emprego. A importância que se lhes reconhece constituiu o fator ou motivação suficiente para desenvolver este trabalho que, com base numa metodologia preferencialmente quantitativa, aplicada a um conjunto de empresas familiares associadas da Associação Portuguesa das Empresas Familiares, se propõe averiguar se estas empresas atribuem importância à informação financeira no processo da tomada de decisão. Utilizou-se como instrumento de recolha de informação um inquérito por questionário e cujos resultados permitiram desenvolver uma análise descritiva exploratória e aplicar testes estatÃsticos não paramétricos. O trabalho realizado permitiu recolher evidência suficiente para concluir sobre a importância das demonstrações financeiras para o processo de tomada de decisão, em particular no que respeita à utilização do balanço e da demonstração dos resultados. Não foi, porém, possÃvel identificar um padrão sobre as demonstrações financeiras preparadas em função do tipo de norma contabilÃstica aplicável e do setor de atividade, nem sobre a importância atribuÃda à informação financeira em função da dimensão da empresa. Foi possÃvel concluir que a informação financeira é, fundamentalmente, utilizada para avaliar os impactos financeiros, apoiar na gestão corrente, tomar decisões de investimento e cumprir com obrigações fiscais, sendo muito evidente a importância que as empresas familiares atribuem à informação financeira como forma de dar cumprimento à s obrigações fiscais.

En la presente investigación se evaluó la aplicación de los tratamientos de electrocoagulación (EC), Fenton y foto-Fenton para remover compuestos fenólicos presentes en el agua residual de una refinerÃa del petróleo, y cumplir con el nivel regulatorio de descarga establecido por la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (EPA, por sus siglas en inglés). En el proceso de electrocoagulación se evaluaron las variables de tiempo de tratamiento, densidad de corriente, tipo de electrodo, tipo de configuración, posición de los electrodos, pH y agitación, mediante un diseño experimental. Al agua electrocoagulada se le aplicó el tratamiento Fenton, en el cual se evaluaron las variables de concentración de H2O2, Fe2+, y el tiempo de tratamiento. Con el fin de mejorar los porcentajes de mineralización del agua electrocoagulada se aplicó el tratamiento foto-Fenton con luz ultravioleta, en el cual se evaluaron los efectos de las concentraciones de H2O2, Fe2+ y aireación. Conclusiones y contribuciones: Para el tratamiento de electrocoagulación, las mejores condiciones de operación se obtienen bajo las siguientes condiciones: 40 mAcm-2, tiempo de tratamiento de 20 min, pH 7, agitación de 155 rpm, con electrodos orientados horizontalmente en configuración monopolar en paralelo, usando electrodos de hierro; bajo estas condiciones se remueve 52.4% de fenoles totales y 42.3% de COT. La aplicación al agua residual electrocoagulada del tratamiento Fenton, conduce a la degradación de los compuestos fenólicos remanentes del tratamiento de EC a concentraciones menores a 1 ppm y 57.6 % de remoción de COT, siendo las condiciones siguientes las mejores obtenidas: concentración de 19.8 mgL-1 de Fe2+ y 612 mgL-1 de H2O2 en un tiempo de reacción de 15 min a pH 3. Los mejores resultados del tratamiento foto-Fenton aplicado al agua electrocoagulada se obtienen con 306 mgL-1 de H2O2, 19.8 mgL-1 de Fe2+, y con aplicación de aire, alcanzando una remoción de 88% de COT.

The partial fixed prosthodontics restoration is used to rehabilitate form and function of partial or total compromised teeth, having to remain permanently joined to remainder tooth. The most useful material on prosthodontics is the feldspar porcelain, commercialized as aluminosilicate powders. Dental porcelains are presented with limited mechanical properties to rehabilitate extensive spaces. The association with Ni-Cr metallic systems (metal-ceramic system) allows that the metallic substructure compensates the fragile porcelain nature, preserving the thermal insulation and aesthetics desirable, as well as reducing the possibility of cracking during matication efforts. Cohesive flaws by low mechanical strength connect the metallic substructure to the oral environment, characterized by a electrolytic solution (saliva), by aggressive temperature, pH cyclic changes and mechanical requests. This process results on ionic liberation that could promote allergic or inflammatory responses, and/or clinical degradation of ceramometal system. The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of an intermediate titanium layer on the microscopic fracture behavior of porcelains on ceramometal systems. Plasma deposition of titanium films result in regular passivating oxide layers which act as barriers to protect the metallic substrate against the hazardous effects of corrosive saliva. Tribocorrosion tests were performed to simulate the oral environment and mechanical stress, making it possible the early detection of crack formation and growth on metal-ceramic systems, which estimate the adherence between the compounds of this system. Plain samples consisting of dental feldspar porcelain deposited either onto metallic substrates or titanium films were fired and characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The result showed that the titanium film improved the adherence of the system compared to conventional metal-ceramic interfaces, thus holding crack propagation

This thesis aims to describe and demonstrate the developed concept to facilitate the use of thermal simulation tools during the building design process. Despite the impact of architectural elements on the performance of buildings, some influential decisions are frequently based solely on qualitative information. Even though such design support is adequate for most decisions, the designer will eventually have doubts concerning the performance of some design decisions. These situations will require some kind of additional knowledge to be properly approached. The concept of designerly ways of simulating focuses on the formulation and solution of design dilemmas, which are doubts about the design that cannot be fully understood nor solved without using quantitative information. The concept intends to combine the power of analysis from computer simulation tools with the capacity of synthesis from architects. Three types of simulation tools are considered: solar analysis, thermal/energy simulation and CFD. Design dilemmas are formulated and framed according to the architect s reflection process about performance aspects. Throughout the thesis, the problem is investigated in three fields: professional, technical and theoretical fields. This approach on distinct parts of the problem aimed to i) characterize different professional categories with regards to their design practice and use of tools, ii) investigate preceding researchers on the use of simulation tools and iii) draw analogies between the proposed concept, and some concepts developed or described in previous works about design theory. The proposed concept was tested in eight design dilemmas extracted from three case studies in the Netherlands. The three investigated processes are houses designed by Dutch architectural firms. Relevant information and criteria from each case study were obtained through interviews and conversations with the involved architects. The practical application, despite its success in the research context, allowed the identification of some applicability limitations of the concept, concerning the architects need to have technical knowledge and the actual evolution stage of simulation tools

Apesar de Portugal sempre ter sido um paÃs de emigrantes, atualmente este fenómeno atingiu dimensões nunca antes observadas, apresentando também caracterÃsticas diferentes dos ciclos anteriores. Motivada por vários fatores, assiste-se a uma saÃda em massa de pessoas altamente qualificadas, nomeadamente os enfermeiros. O Reino Unido surge como o paÃs de destino mais escolhido por este grupo profissional e, dados do Observatório de Emigração, revelam que, só em 2014, estavam inscritos no Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), o congénere da Ordem dos Enfermeiros no Reino Unido, 3.155 enfermeiros portugueses. Estes profissionais, na sua maioria, estão a vivenciar uma experiência inédita, a emigração, com consequentes alterações variadas e complexas nas suas vidas e que podem gerar instabilidade e vulnerabilidade. O presente estudo qualitativo, do tipo exploratório e descritivo, de cariz transversal, teve como objetivos: conhecer este grupo de enfermeiros portugueses, compreender o motivo que os leva a emigrar, compreender como estão a responder a este processo de transição, quais os fatores que facilitam e dificultam esse processo, que estratégias adotam para gerir as situações adversas e quais as implicações desta vivência no seu autocuidado, saúde e bem-estar. Este estudo assume particular relevância, na medida em que poderá representar um contributo a longo prazo, com vista à implementação de estratégias que se traduzam numa ajuda efetiva a estas pessoas, favorecendo a sua saúde e o seu bem-estar. Recorreu-se à entrevista semiestruturada, procurando auscultar, à luz da Teoria das Transições de Meleis, um grupo de onze enfermeiros que se encontrava emigrado no Reino Unido. Tratou-se de uma amostra jovem, maioritariamente do sexo feminino, solteiros e sem filhos, e com pouca experiência profissional. Os resultados apurados permitem-nos afirmar que a transição é gradual e morosa, ocorrendo em simultâneo com outras transições, do tipo situacional e desenvolvimental. Apenas um dos indivÃduos alvo do estudo mostrou encontrar-se na fase final do processo, ou seja, na fase de mestria, que pressupõe o domÃnio da situação e o alcançar do equilÃbrio e bem-estar. Os restantes encontravam-se ainda a vivenciar a transição migração. Os principais motivos que levaram este grupo de enfermeiros portugueses a emigrar foi o desemprego e a impossibilidade de progredir na carreira em Portugal, assim como a busca por melhores condições de vida. O conhecimento da lÃngua inglesa e do paÃs de destino, a estabilidade a nÃvel de emprego, a melhoria da condição económica e o apoio por parte dos enfermeiros portugueses já presentes no Reino Unido, revelaram-se fatores fundamentais para uma transição saudável. Pelo contrário, o afastamento da famÃlia, as diferenças na prática da Enfermagem, e o facto de terem sido alvo de comportamentos considerados discriminatórios, por parte dos ingleses, desempenharam um papel dificultador no processo.

Este estudo procura compreender a importância atribuÃda aos critérios utilizados pelas SCR portuguesas, na seleção e avaliação de projetos do tipo early-stage. Os dados utilizados foram recolhidos com recurso a questionário aplicado a 22 SCR portuguesas. Foram utilizadas técnicas de estatÃstica descritiva, testes não paramétricos e análise de clusters. Concluiu-se que a personalidade e experiência do empreendedor e equipa de gestão são os critérios mais valorizados. As SCR com capital maioritariamente privado consideram mais importante o grupo de critérios relativo à personalidade do empreendedor e equipa de gestão do que as de capital maioritariamente público; e, as SCR que ainda não se internacionalizaram, consideram mais importantes o grupo de critérios relativos à personalidade do empreendedor e equipa de gestão e o grupo de critérios relativo aos aspetos financeiros, do que as SCR que se internacionalizaram. Na análise de clusters identificaram-se três grupos de SCR: Criadores de riqueza de forma sustentada; Monopolistas Impacientes; e, Ciumento. ABSTRACT: This study seeks to understand the relevance of the criteria used by the Portuguese VCs to select and assess early stage type projects. The data used for the study was collected through a questionnaire answered by 22 Portuguese VCs. We employed descriptive statistic techniques, non-parametric tests and cluster analysis. The conclusion of the study was that the personality and experience of an entrepreneur and of the management team are the most valued criteria. VCs with a majority of private share capital found the group of criteria related to the personality of the entrepreneur and of the management team to be more important than the companies with a majority of public share capital; additionally, the VCs that have not yet expanded internationally, consider the personality of the entrepreneur and management team and the group of criteria associated to financial aspects, to be more important than the VCs that have already expanded abroad. Throughout the study of the clusters we were able to identify three VCs groups: Creators of sustained wealth; Impatient Monopolists and Jealous.

Com a crescente dependência do ciberespaço, considerado o quinto domÃnio, é necessário que, para garantir a segurança dos sistemas de informação, as organizações civis como o Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança ou o Gabinete Nacional de Segurança e as organizações militares como o Estado-Maior General das Forças Armadas ou o Centro de Ciberdefesa, detenham um sólido conhecimento situacional do mesmo. Para alcançar este objetivo é fundamental que estas mesmas organizações colaborem de modo a desenvolver uma capacidade de prevenir e recuperar de ataques que possam ocorrer nesse domÃnio através de uma observação contÃnua do mesmo contribuindo, assim, para a sua proteção, prevenção, mitigação, resposta e para a sua recuperação. Deste modo, uma vez que os sistemas de informação são mais vulneráveis por estarem ligados em rede, apresentam potenciais riscos para as organizações pondo em causa a sua segurança. Por conseguinte, antecipar os eventuais problemas que poderão ocorrer nesses sistemas contribui para o desenvolvimento e implementação de medidas para proteger a informação. Sendo assim, e conforme outras organizações, também a Marinha está ligado em rede, pelo que está sujeita a este tipo de ameaça. Com o presente trabalho, pretende-se abordar o tema do Conhecimento Situacional do Ciberespaço e mostrar a sua importância para o tema através da compreensão do modo como pode influenciar a condução das missões atribuÃdas à s UN bem como as unidades em terra. Pretende-se identificar se existe uma organização a bordo das UN que, em articulação com comandos em terra, possa garantir que, num determinado teatro de operações, o que se passa no ciberespaço de interesse para a missão, tanto a nÃvel tático como a nÃvel operacional, é acionável. Pretende-se, ainda, em alinhamento com o conceito de capacidade caracterizar o que é que a Marinha tem desenvolvido neste contexto relativamente a doutrina, organização, estrutura, formação assim como treino.

The gas injection has become the most important IOR process in the United States. Furthermore, the year 2006 marks the first time the gas injection IOR production has surpassed that of steam injection. In Brazil, the installation of a petrochemical complex in the Northeast of Brazil (Bahia State) offers opportunities for the injection of gases in the fields located in the Recôncavo Basin. Field-scale gas injection applications have almost always been associated with design and operational difficulties. The mobility ratio, which controls the volumetric sweep, between the injected gas and displaced oil bank in gas processes, is typically unfavorable due to the relatively low viscosity of the injected gas. Furthermore, the difference between their densities results in severe gravity segregation of fluids in the reservoirs, consequently leading to poor control in the volumetric sweep. Nowadays, from the above applications of gas injection, the WAG process is most popular. However, in attempting to solve the mobility problems, the WAG process gives rise to other problems associated with increased water saturation in the reservoir including diminished gas injectivity and increased competition to the flow of oil. The low field performance of WAG floods with oil recoveries in the range of 5-10% is a clear indication of these problems. In order to find na effective alternative to WAG, the Gas Assisted Gravity Drainage (GAGD) was developed. This process is designed to take advantage of gravity force to allow vertical segregation between the injected CO2 and reservoir crude oil due to their density difference. This process consists of placing horizontal producers near the bottom of the pay zone and injecting gás through existing vertical wells in field. Homogeneous models were used in this work which can be extrapolated to commercial application for fields located in the Northeast of Brazil. The simulations were performed in a CMG simulator, the STARS 2007.11, where some parameters and their interactions were analyzed. The results have shown that the CO2 injection in GAGD process increased significantly the rate and the final recovery of oil

In Brazil and around the world, oil companies are looking for, and expected development of new technologies and processes that can increase the oil recovery factor in mature reservoirs, in a simple and inexpensive way. So, the latest research has developed a new process called Gas Assisted Gravity Drainage (GAGD) which was classified as a gas injection IOR. The process, which is undergoing pilot testing in the field, is being extensively studied through physical scale models and core-floods laboratory, due to high oil recoveries in relation to other gas injection IOR. This process consists of injecting gas at the top of a reservoir through horizontal or vertical injector wells and displacing the oil, taking advantage of natural gravity segregation of fluids, to a horizontal producer well placed at the bottom of the reservoir. To study this process it was modeled a homogeneous reservoir and a model of multi-component fluid with characteristics similar to light oil Brazilian fields through a compositional simulator, to optimize the operational parameters. The model of the process was simulated in GEM (CMG, 2009.10). The operational parameters studied were the gas injection rate, the type of gas injection, the location of the injector and production well. We also studied the presence of water drive in the process. The results showed that the maximum vertical spacing between the two wells, caused the maximum recovery of oil in GAGD. Also, it was found that the largest flow injection, it obtained the largest recovery factors. This parameter controls the speed of the front of the gas injected and determined if the gravitational force dominates or not the process in the recovery of oil. Natural gas had better performance than CO2 and that the presence of aquifer in the reservoir was less influential in the process. In economic analysis found that by injecting natural gas is obtained more economically beneficial than CO2

Among the various effects caused by the climate change and human intervention, the mangrove ecosystem changes through of the years has been worth mentioning, which hasn t known which are the pros and cons for the adjacent coastal and estuarine environments yet. It happens due to the present dynamism in these areas, besides of the difficult understanding of the processes associated with evolution. This study aimed to environmentally evaluate adjacent mangroves from the Macau and Serra oil fields, located on Rio Grande do Norte northern coast, to support the mitigating actions related to the containment of the erosive process, as well as, according to the principles of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), to assess the amount of atmospheric carbon sequestered by the studied ecosystem. An inventory was conducted through mangrouve mapping which has supplied this research, especially regarding to the structural characterization of mangrove areas. To understand the local mangrove behavior in a greater level detail, techniques of remote sensing, GIS and GPS were used to make an analogy between the current and past states of the mangrove studied, allowing to make anticipated projections for the future impacts or changes in that region. This study combined data from multispectral LANDSAT 5 TM, Landsat 7 ETM+ with radar microwave data from SAR RADARSAT-1, which increased the interpretation capacity of the data from optical sensor systems. The interpretations have been supported by the data field, representing a better and innovative methodology for the environmental and taxonomic characterization of mangrove forests considered. The results reveal that mangroves of the Ponta do Tubarão Sustainable Development Reserve are biologically representative areas and providing a variety of benefits, especially for local communities, constituting the priority sites for actions development aimed at conservation. They also have been showing the necessity to make mitigating measures in order to recover degraded areas through reforestation or creating new areas of mangrove, as currently 7.1% of the mangrove forests studied are dead or in an advanced state of decomposition. The amount of atmospheric carbon sequestered proved very significant when analyzed for the whole area, which is able to sequester atmospheric 4,294,458 Ton CO2 per year

Nowadays the acquisition of sustainable elements and concepts in construction has been increasingly discussed, improved and incorporated to buildings, since the sector directly interferes in the urban space and environment, representing environmental impact. In order to make a sustainable building (Green Building) it is vital to incorporate less damaging constructive practice, starting from the project until the operation of the enterprise, that means to consider an integrated process of conception, implementation, construction and operation. The more effective sustainable principles participation in architecture happens at the projecting step through minimal environment impact solutions. Among the issues varieties that goes with sustainability proposal of the buildings project, there were added to this work the elements that are directly attached to bioclimatic architecture, more specifically the climate variation, ventilation, lighting and sunlight, that directly affect the project conception. It is important to put in evidence that architecture role goes far beyond the simple activity of building spaces; it is the sequence of political, economic, social and cultural elements, having the users as the main apparatus to its materialization. Thereby this professional dissertation consists of an architecture draft for a professional and technological school in the Rio Grande do Norte State, this dissertation is based on the analysis of previous experience and the bioclimatic principles that implicate in building on hot and dry, hot and humid climates, and the use of strategic solutions that aim the optimization of natural light and ventilation

The world has many types of oil that have a range of values of density and viscosity, these are characteristics to identify whether an oil is light, heavy or even ultraheavy. The occurrence of heavy oil has increased significantly and pointing to a need for greater investment in the exploitation of deposits and therefore new methods to recover that oil. There are economic forecasts that by 2025, the heavy oil will be the main source of fossil energy in the world. One such method is the use of solvent vaporized VAPEX which is known as a recovery method which consists of two horizontal wells parallel to each other, with a gun and another producer, which uses as an injection solvent that is vaporized in order to reduce the viscosity of oil or bitumen, facilitating the flow to the producing well. This method was proposed by Dr. Roger Butler, in 1991. The importance of this study is to analyze how the influence some operational reservoir and parameters are important in the process VAPEX, such as accumulation of oil produced in the recovery factor in flow injection and production rate. Parameters such as flow injection, spacing between wells, type of solvent to be injected, vertical permeability and oil viscosity were addressed in this study. The results showed that the oil viscosity is the parameter that showed statistically significant influence, then the choice of Heptane solvent to be injected showed a greater recovery of oil compared to other solvents chosen, considering the spacing between the wells was shown that for a greater distance between the wells to produce more oil

Como os recursos de hidrocarbonetos convencionais estão se esgotando, a crescente demanda mundial por energia impulsiona a indústria do petróleo para desenvolver mais reservatórios não convencionais. Os recursos mundiais de betume e óleo pesado são estimados em 5,6 trilhões de barris, dos quais 80% estão localizados na Venezuela, Canadá e EUA. Um dos métodos para explorar estes hidrocarbonetos é o processo de drenagem gravitacional assistido com injeção de vapor e solvente (ES-SAGD Expanding Solvent Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage). Neste processo são utilizados dois poços horizontais paralelos e situados verticalmente um acima do outro, um produtor na base do reservatório e um injetor de vapor e solvente no topo do reservatório. Este processo é composto por um método térmico (injeção de vapor) e um método miscÃvel (injeção de solvente) com a finalidade de causar a redução das tensões interfaciais e da viscosidade do óleo ou betume. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a sensibilidade de alguns parâmetros operacionais, tais como: tipo de solvente injetado, qualidade do vapor, distância vertical entre os poços, porcentagem de solvente injetado e vazão de injeção de vapor sobre o fator de recuperação para 5, 10 e 15 anos. Os estudos foram realizados através de simulações concretizadas no módulo STARS (Steam Thermal, and Advanced Processes Reservoir Simulator) do programa da CMG (Computer Modelling Group), versão 2010.10, onde as interações entre os parâmetros operacionais, estudados em um modelo homogêneo com caracterÃsticas de reservatórios semelhantes aos encontrados no Nordeste Brasileiro, foram observadas. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo mostraram que os melhores fatores de recuperação ocorreram para nÃveis máximos do percentual de solvente injetado e da distância vertical entre os poços. Observou-se também que o processo será rentável dependendo do tipo e do valor do solvente injetado
