Relação entre a disparidade de força entre membros inferiores e estabilidade postural em atletas de voleibol

Volleyball is a sport in which the laterality dominant limb shows superior strength and coordination because of its preferential use. Asymmetrical tendencies during the landing after the jump when striking or blocking actions are predominant for most part of game (ARRUDA; EDUARDO, 2008). Adaptations include imbalance of forces in static and dynamic motions at the knee joint, which increases risk for injury. Also, asymmetries in balance control during jumping and landing associate with a general postural instability that can be observed during static balance tasks. The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between unequal lower limb strength (muscle imbalance) and postural stability levels in volleyball athletes and non-athletes. Nine female volleyball athletes and 10 active non-athletes participated in this study. Four encouters with participants were scheduled: three encounters in the bodybuilding gymnasium to collect anthropometric measures (weight, height for BMI, thigh circumference, which provided an initial diagnosis about asymmetry), and to perform the isometric strength test (i.e., leg press using a load cell and a force transducer to calculate uni an bilateral strength). The last encounter was in the laboratory where a balance test on a force platform was administered under five test conditions, with three repetitions each: baseline (natural standing position), one-leg standing, right side, with full vision (D_CV), and blindfolded (D_SV), one-leg standing, left side, with full vision (E_CV), and blindfolded (E_SV). The stability levels were evaluated using the path length parameters which was based on the total displacement of the center of pressure (DTCP). . In recent years, the concept of art education has been changing substantially the artistic and cultural education in the Brazilian educational system, particularly in relation to the formation of a critical awareness and practice of citizenship. In this process, the Community Public Relations and Public Communication excel in fostering alliances between government and community. Based on literature review and authors debates, such as Geertz, Santos, White, Freire, Araujo, Barbosa, Kunsch e Peruzzo. Besides the analysis of important materials, official documents and Brazilian projects involving art, culture and education, such as Research-Action Report 2013, the National Plan for Culture, the National Education Plan and the Municipal Act 6119; this paper seeks to explicit this affirmation, assuming the social transformation aiming a full citizenship, as a motivational factor. In this paper we also present a plan that includes a project in art education for the Stable Dance Company and the public elementary schools in Bauru SP

Sobre Villiers de l'Isle-Adam e seus contos cruéis

Villiers de l’Isle-Adam (1838-1889) is always remembered and admired for his books: Contes cruels, L’Ève future and Claire Lenoir- which summarize the main worries of the writer, his satire of the triumphant Positivism, his metaphysical theory and his aspiration for the Ideal. He is one of the greatest artisans of the French literature style of the XIX century and, in spite of some individual and particular characteristics, he shares with other writers from his time – Joris-Karl Huysmans, Barbey d’Aurevilly, Leon Bloy, among others – the same sorrow and fury towards Positivism and Mercantilism. Having as a starting point the collection Contes cruels, the purpose of this article is to reveal the author’s writings who, by searching for the Ideal and by taking refuge in art, is able to unite the poet, the ironic and the idealist philosopher. Through his writings, the writer moves away from the world’s mediocrity and can express a mix of revolt, reaction, rebellion and also, his hopes expressed in his beliefs in the “Au-delà” and in the salvation by the Ideal.

Efeito da utilização do coringa no treinamento em campo reduzido em jogadores de futebol universitário

Soccer is the most popular sport in Brazil and one of the most popular in the world. Within this context, the practice of university soccer has increased the number of practitioners. A methodology widely used in the training of high performance teams are games reduced field ( JCR). The objective of this study was to evaluate the intensity of physical effort of football players during a small side game, 4x4, check the correlation between [La], HR PSE and the players and the floater influence on the intensity of the small side game. We analyzed eight players of UNESP in Bauru mean age 21.2+1.5 years, weight 75.8+11.6 kg, height 1.77±8cm, body fat percentage 12.3+5.5%, VO2max 37.1 ml/kg/min. The training was performed in 4 x 6 min with an interval of between one minute for recovery. The [La] and PSE were collected between the second and third time and after the end of training, the HR was measured every five seconds throughout the training through the RS400 heart rate monitor. A training session player floater participation (4x4+1) and the other not (4x4). The results presented showed no correlation with the HR [La] and PSE. HR significantly different, being 157+10 in the game 4x4+1 and 146+13 in the game 4x4. The percentage of HRmax in the game with floater was 81.3% and 75.7% in the game without. The players were most of the time in a higher intensity in the JCR with a floater, 37.8% of playing time over 85% HRmax, and 22.5% of playing time over 85% of HRmax in the JCR without floater, demonstrating that the use of a floater player made the game more intense and efficient to increase the intensity of the game

Modelo esportivo britânico: histórico e evoluções

The British sports suffered an unprecedented crisis in the early 80s instabilities political, economic crisis and lack of planning put the English sport in a very critical situation. However, a number of sports public policies were proposed from the 80's, effectively, completely changed the situation of English sport, which has prompted the development of this research. Thus, the present study, qualitative, aims to analyze the organization and evolution of the sport in the UK, based on the British government projects of the last 30 years included in the Sport Development database. Therefore, the study was developed by the union of bibliographic research, exploratory and documentary. First, after literature, documents were selected, using the academic database Sport Development, in the library of policy documents, separate area of the database containing only the English sport policy documents. For delimitation of the study were analyzed documents from 1980 to 2013, of which eight were selected on which to base discussions in this study. The documents were analyzed using thematic content analysis technique, based on two thematic axes: Axis 1 - funding and Axis 2 - priority groups. The results indicate that the analyzed initiatives show a process of evolution and maturation of public policies of Sport England, both on the issue of financing, such as with regard to priority groups, which have changed and adjustments over the years. It was also noted that much can be learned from these initiatives, even in helping to solve problems of the Brazilian reality. Suggest new studies involving sports management from different countries, in order to leverage other perspectives to support the development of public policies for sport and recreation in the country, seeking successful examples

The ARTGEO Project aimed at integrating science, art, and technology, emphasizing geometric elements which must be explored within the teaching process. Geometry, present in the most primitive civilizations, assists man in settling relationships and organizing his space. It has been clearly identified in human constructions, consisting of an important instrument of knowledge and domain of nature. The art, in its turn, can mediate the elaboration of knowledge, whether it is scientific, technical, or philosophical. Science and art are products that express the imaginary representations from distinct cultures. The Brazilian Concretism, for its relations with the geometry, is the period in art history chosen as reference. Technology was represented by the computational environments, as a didactic support and an instrument for the accomplishment of practical activities. Microsoft Word is one of the basic softwares for this proposal because of its easy access in most public schools.

Arte reversa: aplicando a engenharia reversa na arte

This study aimed to examine the reverse engineering and respond to a concern about the possible application of this concept in art, breaking down barriers and breaking paradigms. Using 3D scanning, the art of computer aided design and manufacturing – CAD/CAM, machining by computer numerical control - CNC, engineering, and applying this methodology in the arts especially in sculpture, it is possible to dematerialize a artwork, virtualizes it in 3D programs, make speeches, and process a new work, a new art elsewhere. By the example of surgeries at a distance, the artist, or technical author could produce their works, and materialize them anywhere. In other words, do the reverse gear. It discusses the relationship between art and technology, the role of the author, the viewer, which can interfere with the interactivity that case by stating that art, exists only in the look and feel of the viewer.

Persuasão ou performance: as estratégias comunicacionais para transformar o rúgbi em paixão nacional

This paper analyzes the communication strategy of the Brazilian Rugby Confederation in the promotion of sport in the country, with three television campaigns developed since 2010 together with manufacturer Topper. One of the goals of the organization is to make the sport better known among the Brazilian public, with a view to inclusion of rugby in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Very popular in countries colonized by Britain, the sport still has little visibility in the national sports scene, something to be transformed in organizational communication and advertising.
