Syns det inte, finns det inte : En studie om produktplaceringar i tv-serier och film

Tidigare har den vanligaste typen av reklam varit den i form av avbrott i tv­sändningar men i takt med våra ändrade tv­vanor söker reklamföretagen nya sätt att marknadsföra sig själva på. Så kallade produktplaceringar, är ett sådant marknadsföringssätt. Ett av de tydligaste exempel på detta är år 1982 då filmen E.T: The Extra Terrestrial hade premiär och huvudkaraktären åt godiset Reeses Pieces, en produktplacering som medförde en försäljningsökning på hela 65%. Produktplaceringar är sedan dess en blomstrande bransch och drar årligen in mångmiljardbelopp men attityderna gentemot denna typ av reklam har sviktat. Vi ställde oss därför frågan hur attityderna gentemot reklamfenomenet ser ut idag samt ifall ålder är en avgörande faktor för hur individer resonerar om produktplaceringar. Detta har lett till denna studiens syfte som är att undersöka två generationers attityder gentemot produktplaceringar i film och tv­serier samt hur de uppmärksammar det. Eftersom syftet med studien är att erhålla information om individers personliga uppfattningar, ansåg vi att den kvalitativa intervjun var bäst lämpad. Fyra intervjuer med personer mellan 20­30 år samt fyra intervjuer med personer mellan 50­60 år genomfördes. Materialet bestod i slutändan av åtta transkriberade intervjuer som analyserades med hjälp av studiens teoretiska ramverk. Teorierna berör generella antaganden om produktplaceringar, olika typer av produktplaceringar, dess påverkan på publiken, övertalningsförsök samt attityd och perception. Studien resulterade i att vi fann skillnader i hur generationerna uppmärksammar produktplaceringar. Den yngre generationen är i högre grad mottaglig för subtila placeringar medan den äldre generationen ansåg att placeringarna behövde vara tydliga och inzoomade för att uppmärksammas. Gällande attitydsaspekten fann vi att den yngre generationen har en något mer negativ inställning mot produktplaceringar, vilket kan bero på att denna typ av reklam påverkar det undermedvetna, något som framförallt den yngre generationen anser vara läskigt. Den äldre generationen har en något mer positiv syn på produktplaceringar, men en viss skepcism består. Detta beror troligen på att reklamtypen faktiskt påverkar och bringar ett köpintresse, något som denna generation hade skilda åsikter kring.

Con el golpe de Estado de Onganía en 1966 comenzó un intento de consolidación de un Estado Burocrático Autoritario. El gobierno de facto, cuya base social era el gran capital, impulsó reformas estructurales en la economía y las instituciones tendientes a la despolitización y la concentración del capital. Este proyecto entró en una crisis irreversible en mayo de 1969 con los hechos de masas conocidos como Rosariazo y Cordobazo. La descomposición de la dictadura llegó a su punto crítico tras el Tucumanazo y el Viborazo. Tras estos hechos Lanusse dio un golpe de Estado, promovió el GAN y la convocatoria a elecciones sin proscripciones para 1973. Se considera que a partir de 1969 se inauguró una nueva etapa en las luchas sociales en Argentina expresada en una "nueva izquierda", de agrupaciones revolucionarias armadas, un auge del activismo obrero y estudiantil, etc. Sin embargo, a pesar de que siempre se menciona el rol de los estudiantes del litoral y del interior en el proceso que derrotó a la dictadura, se haya ausente un estudio sistemático de las luchas del movimiento estudiantil de las regiones donde se desarrollaron los mayores enfrentamientos al régimen militar. Aquí presento algunas dimensiones para su investigación

Dynamic annealing in III-nitrides under ion bombardment

We study the evolution of structural defects in AlxGa1-xN films (with x=0.0-0.6) bombarded with kilo-electron-volt heavy ions at 77 and 300 K. We use a combination of Rutherford backscattering/channeling spectrometry and cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy. Results show that an increase in Al content not only strongly enhances dynamic annealing processes but can also change the main features of the amorphization behavior. In particular, the damage buildup behavior at 300 K is essentially similar for all the AlGaN films studied. Ion-beam-produced disorder at 300 K accumulates preferentially in the crystal bulk region up to a certain saturation level (similar to50%-60% relative disorder). Bombardment at 300 K above a critical fluence results in a rapid increase in damage from the saturation level up to complete disordering, with a buried amorphous layer nucleating in the crystal bulk. However, at 77 K, the saturation effect of lattice disorder in the bulk occurs only for xgreater than or similar to0.1. Based on the analysis of these results for AlGaN and previously reported data for InGaN, we discuss physical mechanisms of the susceptibility of group-III nitrides to ion-beam-induced disordering and to the crystalline-to-amorphous phase transition. Rifampicin and sodium fusidate reduces the frequency of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolation in adults with cystic fibrosis and chronic MRSA infection

Nosocomial transmission of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) to patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) frequently results in chronic respiratory tract carriage. This is an increasing problem, adds to the burden of glycopeptide antibiotic use in hospitals, and represents a relative contraindication to lung transplantation. The aim of this study was to determine whether it is possible to eradicate MRSA with prolonged oral combination antibiotics, and whether this treatment is associated with improved clinical status. Adult CF patients (six mate, one female) with chronic MRSA infection were treated for six months with rifampicin and sodium fusidate. Outcome data were examined for six months before treatment, on treatment and after treatment. The patients had a mean age of 29.3 (standard deviation = 6.3) years and FEV1 of 36.1% (standard deviation = 12.7) predicted. The mean duration of MRSA isolation was 31 months. MRSA isolates identified in these patients was of the same lineage as the known endemic strain at the hospital when assessed by pulsed-field get electrophoresis. Five of the seven had no evidence of MRSA during and for at [east six months after rifampicin and sodium fusidate. The proportion of sputum samples positive for MRSA was lower during the six months of treatment (0.13) and after treatment (0.19) compared with before treatment (0.85) (P < 0.0001). There was a reduction in the number of days of intravenous antibiotics per six months with 20.3 +/- 17.6 on treatment compared with 50.7 before treatment and 33.0 after treatment (P = 0.02). There was no change in lung function. Gastrointestinal side effects occurred in three, but led to therapy cessation in only one patient. Despite the use of antibiotics with anti-staphylococcal activity for treatment of respiratory exacerbation, MRSA infection persists. MRSA can be eradicated from the sputum of patients with CF and chronic MRSA carriage by using rifampicin and sodium fusidate for six months. This finding was associated with a significant reduction in the duration of intravenous antibiotic treatment during therapy. (C) 2003 The Hospital Infection Society. Published by Elsevier Ltd. DC-DC Power Converters Featuring Wide-Bandgap Devices

This work focuses on the design of high-efficient DC-DC converters based on WBG power devices. The first objective is the development of an isolated bidirectional converter for the distribution network of future electrical aircrafts. A SiC-based Dual Active Bridge converter is designed and fabricated. Control strategies for individual and parallel operations are investigated and implemented into a FPGA platform. Experimental results on 1.2kW 270V/28V prototype are presented to confirm the proper behavior of the proposed solution. The second project belongs to the field of photovoltaic systems and aims to develop a three-port converter with multiple power elements interfacing capability. A GaN-based Triple Active Bridge has been designed, regarding both the controller and the hardware realization.

Uppfattningar om grooming – lärares attityder avseende elevers utsatthet för sexuella närmanden på internet

Barn och ungdomar spenderar mycket tid på internet vilket medför risker att utsättas för grooming. Detta kan påverka deras psykiska hälsa, skolprestationer och framtida arbetsliv. Lärare utgör en viktig yrkesgrupp som kan upptäcka och förebygga elevers utsatthet på internet. Studiens syfte var att belysa lärares oro, uppfattningar och attityder avseende elevers utsatthet för grooming samt att undersöka lärares åsikter om sin och skolans roll i frågor beträffande detta. En enkätundersökning genomfördes med 207 högstadie- och gymnasielärare som respondenter. Lärarna var oroliga för att elever ska utsättas för grooming och hade låg tilltro till sin egen förmåga att identifiera och hantera utsatta elever. De ansåg i hög utsträckning att skolan har ett ansvar i frågan och efterfrågade mer kunskap. Kvinnliga lärare, högstadielärare samt de med egen erfarenhet av grooming uttryckte större oro jämfört med övriga. Utbildning av lärare om vilka följder grooming kan få gällande elevers skolprestation kan bidra till att de kan uppmärksamma unga som blivit utsatta. 

TiN-based coatings on fuel cladding tubes for advanced nuclear reactors

Titanium nitride (TiN) thin films are coated on HT-9 and MA957 fuel cladding tubes and bars to explore their mechanical strength, thermal stability, diffusion barrier properties, and thermal conductivity properties. The ultimate goal is to implement TiN as an effective diffusion barrier to prevent the inter-diffusion between the nuclear fuel and the cladding material, and thus lead to a longer lifetime of the cladding tubes. Mechanical tests including hardness and scratch tests for the samples before and after thermal cycle tests show that the films have a high hardness of 28GPa and excellent adhesion properties despite the thermal treatment. Thermal conductivity measurements demonstrate that the thin TiN films have very minimal impact on the overall thermal conductivity of the MA957 and HT-9 substrates, i.e., the thermal conductivity of the uncoated HT-9 and MA957 substrates was 26.25 and 28.44 W m-1 K-1, and that of the coated ones was 26.21 and 28.38W m-1 K-1, respectively. A preliminary Ce diffusion test on the couple of Ce/TiN/HT-9 suggests that TiN has excellent material compatibility and good diffusion barrier properties.

Recent advances in topical ophthalmic drug delivery with lipid-based nanocarriers

Ocular barriers and the poor water solubility of drug candidates present a number of problems for the development of ocular drug delivery systems. Recently, the emergence of lipid-based nanocarriers has provided a viable means of enhancing the bioavailability of ophthalmic formulations. A number of these formulations have been found to be clinically active and several others are currently undergoing clinical trials. In this review, the advantages of lipid-based nanocarriers as non-invasive topical ocular drug delivery systems are presented. Many systems, including emulsions, liposomes, cubosomes, niosomes and other lipid-based nanocarriers, are reviewed.
