O legado de Descartes

The criticism of Cartesian philosophy is correlated on four pillars: the fragmentation of knowledge, the separation between mind and body, the impossibility of the reductionist method for explanation of natural phenomena, and in the superiority of the reason as the only valid form of knowledge. These last two pillars, as many environmentalists claim, contributed decisively to the devaluation of the res extensa over the res cogitans. To check this we used as a theoretical framework the following texts: Discourse on Method, Rules for Conduct of the Spirit and Metaphysical Meditations. By reading these works it was found that the first two pillars (the fragmentation of knowledge and the separation between mind and body) there are no theoretical basis in texts. The failure of the reductionist method to explain the ecological and atomic phenomena and the overcoming of reason as the only valid form of knowledge are supported in their philosophy.

O princípio da integralidade no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS): utopia?

The Brazilian Federal Constitution promulgated in 1988 created the concept of Social Welfare, which is based on the triad: Health, Social Security and Social Assistance. The Unified Health System (SUS) was then instituted. SUS is a conquest of a society that seeks social justice, integrality, equalitarian and universal access to health services. In the present essay, I succinctly discourse on the various meanings of integrality. I present the theoretical basis of complexity and transdisciplinarity by opposing to reductionism, aiming at showing that, by means of transdisciplinarity and intersectoriality, integrality can be achievable.

A gestão democrática em uma escola de educação de jovens e adultos

This paper addresses the democratic school management within the school organizations. For this, initially made brief remarks on labor relations, the development of administrative and organizational theories. Later, we reflect on how the se labor relations are organized in the educational environment and what education theoretical contributions to the development of school management in Brazil. Therefore, we discuss the Brazilian educational policies that postulate and legitimate democratic school management. Studies of everyday guided the theoretical basis of this work, we wonder what school subject dealing with the discourse of democratic and participative management. Forward the hypothesis that participatory management should be a prominent space in schools, the aim of this study was to investigate the school management of a municipal school of Youth and Adult Education, which brings in your organization pedagogical foundation and educational principles espoused by Paul Freire. The specific objectives of the study are: a) to investigate and describe how is the organization's management of school youth and adults; b) understand the role of managers; c) check how teachers and administrators understand the process of managing this school. From a methodological point of view the daily life of the studies led this work to procedures and qualitative analysis of ethnographic referring to practices that have occurred in adult education school along with the theoretical foundation. Participated in this research members of the school management group and four teachers of Youth and Adult Education rooms. The results obtained showed that dialogue and democracy go together, that the school is an organization with different world views, which need to be primarily present in the identity of the schools. This research aims to investigate the consequences of a possible change caused by the social context in the life and behavior of the main characters in the novel Blindness, [by José Saramago]. Starting by that there is an allegorical correlation between the blindness white, discussed by Saramago in his novel and the construction of the Plato's Cave Myth, and taking as theoretical basis the reflections of some thinkers such as Stuart Hall (1992), Goffman (2002) and Antonio da Costa Ciampa (2005) it be sought to describe the occurrence of the phenomenon the social role change in the characters and its consequences to the identity deconstruction of fictional subjects
