SEGUIMIENTO A GRADUADOS COMO ELEMENTO DE INNOVACIÓN CURRICULAR EN LA CARRERA DE CIENCIAS GEOGRÁFICAS CON ÉNFASIS EN ORDENAMIENTO DEL TERRITORIO, UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE COSTA RICA

Este artículo expone el resultado del seguimiento a graduados de  la carrera de Ciencias Geográ-fcas con énfasis en Ordenamiento del Territorio  (CCG-UNA), durante el periodo 1979 a 2009.El  propósito  de  esta  publicación  consiste  en  describir  la  situación  de  los  graduados  en materia laboral: ocupación, desocupación, ingreso, área de desempeño en relación con las exigencias de la sociedad, con el fn de actualizar el plan de estudio dentro del contexto de innovación curricular. La investigación recurre a los enfoques cuantitativo y cualitativo para profundizar en la compresión de  la  inserción  laboral del graduado; asimismo, se revisaron  los  trabajos de seguimiento de gra-duados, realizados durante la autoevaluación de CCG-UNA (2001-2004, 2005-2008) y el censo de graduados (1979-2009). Se consideró a la población graduada de la cual se disponía información personal y se recuperó información del 25%; complementariamente se utilizó un grupo focal y una consulta  telefónica. Los  resultados  señalan que  el 95%  se  encuentra  laborando  en  la profesión; el 83,57%  se ubica  en  el  sector público. Las universidades,  las municipalidades  e  instituciones autónomas del Estado se constituyen como los mayores empleadores.  Las áreas en donde se des-empeñan los graduados son Ciencias de la Información Geográfca, Paisaje, Territorio y Recursos Naturales; Gestión  y Ordenamiento  del Territorio,  y Enseñanza  y Divulgación. La  información obtenida mediante el seguimiento a graduados ofrece insumos para la innovación curricular y para la actualización de la carrera, con respecto a las necesidades de la sociedad costarricense y a las tendencias de la disciplina.

Progettazione e modellazione numerica di un elemento strutturale per il telaio dell’auto solare Emilia 5

Nel seguente elaborato viene ripercorso il lavoro svolto per la progettazione di un box batterie in materiale composito e in particolare il relativo sistema di fissaggio al telaio che verrà utilizzato per l’auto solare Emilia 5. Questo prototipo di veicolo, che viene sviluppato dai membri del team Onda Solare presso l’azienda Metal TIG a Castel San Pietro Terme (BO), è un’auto completamente elettrica che sfrutta l’energia solare attraverso pannelli fotovoltaici e la cui propulsione è garantita dalla sola energia accumulata nelle batterie. Emilia 5 gareggerà all’evento World Solar Challenge 2023 in Australia, competizione riservata alle auto solari che vede impegnati teams da tutto il mondo. L’elaborato mostra inizialmente la modellazione geometrica tridimensionale delle parti sviluppata attraverso il software Solidworks, analizzandone i dettagli funzionali. In seguito, tramite il software Ansys Workbench, vengono eseguite simulazioni agli elementi finiti verificando che i componenti, considerati in alluminio, rispondano correttamente ai carichi imposti. Per ultimo, vengono menzionati i materiali compositi in fibra di carbonio e si analizza la sequenza di laminazione relativa alla scatola delle batterie. I risultati ottenuti saranno utilizzati dal team Onda Solare come punto di riferimento per la realizzazione dei componenti di Emilia 5.

Aspectos técnicos da monitorização da pressão intracraniana pelo método subaracnóideo no traumatismo craniencefálico grave

Two hundred and six patients with severe head injury (Glasgow Coma Scale of 8 points or less after nonsurgical resuscitation on admission), managed at Intensive Care Unit-Hospital das Clínicas - Universidade Estadual de Campinas were prospectively analysed. All patients were assessed by CT scan and 72 required neurosurgical intervention. All patients were continuously monitored to evaluate intracranial pressure (ICP) levels by a subarachnoid device (11 with subarachnoid metallic bolts and 195 with subarachnoid polyvinyl catheters). The ICP levels were continuously observed in the bedside pressure monitor display and their end-hour values were recorded in a standard chart. The patients were managed according to a standard protocol guided by the ICP levels. There were no intracranial haemorrhagic complications or hematomas due the monitoring method. Sixty six patients were punctured by lateral C1-C2 technique to assess infectious complications and 2 had positive cerebrospinal fluid samples for Acinetobacter sp. The final results measured at hospital discharge showed 75 deaths (36,40%) and 131 (63,60%) survivors. ICP levels had significantly influenced the final results (p<0,001). The subarachnoid method to continuously assess the ICP levels was considered aplicable, safe, simple, low cost and useful to advise the management of the patients. The ICP record methodology was practical and useful. Despite the current technical advances the subarachnoid method was considered viable to assess the ICP levels in severe head injury.

Teores de nutrientes na alface irrigada com água residuária aplicada por sistemas de irrigação

A trial was carried out to evaluate the chemical composition in the aerial part of lettuce, cv. 'Elisa', irrigated with wastewater treated with constructed wetland and source deposit water, grown on a Rhodic Hapludox Soil, using the irrigation systems sprinkle, subsurface drip and surface drip irrigation. The experiment was carried out from August 17th to October 3rd of 2001 and the chemical analyses of the lettuce were accomplished to 47 days after transplanting of the seedling. The aerial part of the lettuce was analyzed as for the levels of total nitrogen, nitrate, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, sodium, boron, cobalt and molybdenum. The sodium and the sulfur presented higher levels than the maximum suitable in the aerial part of the lettuce and the smallest level of magnesium, while other chemical elements analyzed were normal and appropriate considering the standard for well-nourished plants, not being influenced by the water type. The sodium was the chemical element that presented the highest levels in the aerial part of the lettuce in the treatments irrigated with wastewater, presenting significant difference in relationship to the treatments irrigated with source deposit water in the three irrigation systems. The use of the different irrigation systems by the application of wastewater treated with constructed wetland did not interfere in the levels of nutrients in the aerial part of the lettuce.

Nossa notação m' na prova de Rorschach: ampliação e restrição do fator m de Klopfer

Klopfer's differentiation of movement scores, among which inanimate movement integrating the minor movements group, was no doubt opportune and needed. Their peculiar meaning has been clearly stressed and enriched by Piotrowski in his reformulation of Rorschach variables. It is our belief that Rorschach himself would take such step. Our criteria for scoring this determinant are somewhat different of both Klopfer's and Piotrowski's. On the one hand, masks, facial traits, emotional expressions, body parts in motion are not entered there. On the other, we score as such human or animal movement, provided this does not originate in the blot shape directly, but in the subjective reaction against the sensed muscular tension. Basic requirement for this scoring is the kinesthetic component, as for Mever since Rorschach's elaboration; and common trait distinctive for any response to be so scored ? be it an abstraction, an inanimate object, an animal or human being ? must be the subjective way of feeling the movement: (a) intention, blocking, struggle for achieving, for instance, or (b) activity of nature elements. Due to this subjective meaning we use the symbol m'intead of mfor this category. We already find these two kinds (a) and (b) of movement responses in Rorschach's text, respectively in the Examplesand in his posthumous Contribution.Either may point to a flight from emotional stress or to outstanding mental ability.
